고속도로 현장별 비점오염 저감시설 선정방안 연구 (A Study for selecting the Highway Sites' Best Management Practice for Nonpoint Source Pollution)

  • This research categorized EIA target highways into following three types in order to minimize non-point source pollution from highway runoff. 1. Big drainage basin. 2. Small drainage basin. 3. Bridge section. The Natural, Filter and Swirl-Type devices were evaluated in terms of removal efficiency of TSS, BOD, COD, T-N, T-P, compatibility of site selection, economic feasibility, and maintenance convenience through which the final BMP was selected. According to the removal efficiency result, the area of Big and Small Drainage basin and bridge section had higher removal efficiency with natural facility than that of the Filter or Swirl-Type device. To make appropriate selection of highways'BMP for non-point source pollution, this study will aim to contribute to building more environmentally friendly highways by proposing the selection process that is made of 5 stages. 1. Selecting the target drainage basin. 2. Selecting the land for the mitigation facility. 3. Analysing the ease of maintenance. 4. Technically evaluating each installation. 5. Evaluating the effective implementation methods.

체류시간이 식생수로 저감효율에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Retention Time on the Removal Efficiency in Grassed Swale)

  • 현재까지 국내에서 수질관리 정책이 점오염원 관리를 우선 시 하고 있다. 비점오염원은 배출특성, 배출지점 및 배출량의 파악에 매우 어려움이 있다. 이러한 비점오염 관리를 위해 다양한 비점오염저감시설들에 대한 개발 및 연구가 진행되고 있다. 비점오염시설의 평가를 위해 다양한 효율산정 방법들이 제시되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 강우 시 식생수로 모니터링 결과를 통해 체류시간이 저감효율에 미치는 영향에 대해 연구를 수행하였다. 또한 여러 가지 저감효율 산정 방법에 따른 차이를 비교하고자 하였다. 식생수로에서 체류시간에 따른 효율 분석 결과 체류시간이 길수록 저감효율도 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 식생수로의 안정적인 저감효율을 확보하기 위해선 충분한 체류시간이 확보 되어야 한다고 판단된다.

낙동강수계 수질오염총량관리를 위한 시범소유역 유황별 유달율 산정방법 연구 (A Study on Estimation of the Delivery Ratio by Flow Duration in a Small-Scale Test Bed for Managing TMDL in Nakdong River)

  • The objective of this study is to construct the watershed management system with link of the non-point sources model and to estimate delivery ratio duration curves for various pollutants. For the total water pollution load management system, non-point source model should be performed with the study of the characteristic about non-point sources and loadings of non-point source and the allotment of pollutant in each area. In this study, daily flow rates and delivered pollutant loads of Nakdong river basin are simulated with modified TANK model and minimum variance unbiased estimator and SWAT model. Based on the simulation results, flow duration curves, load duration curves, and delivery ratio duration curves have been established. Then GIS analysis is performed to obtain several hydrological geomorphic characteristics such as watershed area, stream length, watershed slope and runoff curve number. As a result, the SWAT simulation results show good agreements in terms of discharge, BOD, TN, TP but for more exact simulation should be kept studying about variables and parameters which are needed for simulation. And as a result of the characteristic discharges, pollutants loading with the runoff and delivery ratios, non-point sources effects were higher than point sources effects in the small-scale test bed of Nakdong river basin.

비점오염원 관리를 위한 유출포착곡선 (Runoff Capture Curve for Non-Point Source Management)

  • For the purpose of managing non-point sources, water quality control basins (WQCBs) are often designed to capture rainfall events smaller than extreme events. The design rainfall statistics and runoff capture rates for sizing a WQCB should be derived from the local long-term continuous rainfall record. In this study, the 31-year continuous rainfall data recorded in Busan is analyzed to derive the synthesized runoff capture curve incorporated with SCS curve number.

생물 저류 방법 적용을 통한 비점오염원 처리시설의 성능평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Performance Evaluation for the Bio-retention Non-point Source Pollution Treatment System)

  • 미국 환경 보호청(Environmental Protection Agency, EPA)의 생물저류 설계기준에 근거한 비점오염원 처리시설의 제거효율 및 성능을 분석하고자 기본 모형 실험장치(basic column reactor, BCR)와 파일럿 규모의 식생 실험 장치를 대상으로 각각 수행하였다. BCR을 이용하여 초기강우 유출수의 유입속도(유량), 식재 층의 조성 및 구성 비율, 등 처리시설의 설계에 필요한 적정인자 값을 도출하였으며 이를 식생 실험 장치에 적용하여 비점오염원의 제거 효율을 분석하였다. 비점오염원으로는 합성된 강우(synthetic rainfall)와 실제 현장(도로변과 주차장)에서 채수한 초기강우 유출수(first rainfall runoff)를 각각 사용하였다. 부유물질(Suspended Solid, SS), 생물학적 산소 요구량(Biochemical oxygen demand, BOD), 화학적 산소요구량(Chemical Oxygen Demand, COD), 총질소(Total Nitrogen, T-N), 총인(Total Phosphorus, T-P) 분석항목 모두 80% 이상을 상회하는 제거효율을 보이고 있음을 확인하였다.

AnnAGNPS 모형을 이용한 관목림지의 비점오염 모의 (Non-point Source Pollution Modeling Using AnnAGNPS Model for a Bushland Catchment)

  • AnnAGNPS model was applied to a catchment mainly occupied with bushland for modeling non-point source pollution. Since the single event model cannot handle events longer than 24 hours duration, the event-based calibration was carried out using the continuous mode. As event flows affect sediment and nutrient generation and transport, the calibration of the model was performed in three steps: Hydrologic, Sediment and Nutrient calibrations. The results from hydrologic calibration for the catchment indicate a good prediction of the model with average ARE(Absolute Relative Error) of $24.6\%$ fur the runoff volume and $12\%$ for the peak flow. For the sediment calibration, the average ARE was $198.8\%$ indicating acceptable model performance for the sediment prediction. The predicted TN(Total Nitrogen) and TP(Total Phosphorus) were also found to be acceptable as the average ARE for TN and TP were $175.5\%\;and\;126.5\%$, respectively. The AnnAGNPS model was therefore approved to be appropriate to model non-point source pollution in bushland catchments. In general, the model was likely to result in underestimation for the larger events and overestimation fur the smaller events for the water quality predictions. It was also observed that the large errors in the hydrologic prediction also produced high errors in sediment and nutrient prediction. This was probably due to error propagation in which the error in the hydrologic prediction influenced the generation of error in the water quality prediction. Accurate hydrologic calibration should be hence obtained for a reliable water quality prediction.

기후 변화에 따른 청미천 유역의 수질 변화 및 저감 대책에 관한 연구 (Effects of climate change and reduction method on water quality in Cheongmicheon watershed)

  • 본 연구는 미래기후변화에 따른 청미천 유역의 향후 수질 변화를 검토하고, 최적관리기법으로의 접근을 이용한 비점오염물질 저감 대책의 유효성을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 기후변화에 따른 미래 수문 및 수질변수의 변화를 살펴보기 위하여 Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT) 모형을 이용하였으며, SWAT 모형의 매개변수는 SWAT-CUP을 이용하여 보정하였다. 구축된 Representative Concentration Pathway(RCP) 시나리오 중 RCP 4.5 및 8.5 두 개 시나리오를 이용하여 미래 기후를 고려하였다. 모의 결과로부터 기후 변화가 심화될수록 강우 및 비점오염물질의 유출이 증가하는 것으로 예측되었다. 또한 적절한 최적관리기법을 통해 비점오염물질의 총량뿐만 아니라 시간에 따른 변동성도 함께 효과적으로 저감될 수 있는 것으로 판단된다.

  • Land cover map is a typical GIS database which shows the Earth's physical surface differentiated by standardized homogeneous land cover types. Satellite images acquired by Landsat TM were primarily used to produce a land cover map of 7 land cover classes; however, it now becomes to produce a more accurate land cover classification dataset of 23 classes thanks to higher resolution satellite images, such as SPOT-5 and IKONOS. The use of the newly produced high resolution land cover map of 23 classes for such activities to estimate non-point sources of pollution like water pollution modeling and atmospheric dispersion modeling is expected to result a higher level of accuracy and validity in various environmental monitoring results. The estimation of pollution from non-point sources using GIS-based modeling with land cover dataset shows fairly accurate and consistent results.

탄화물 및 제올라이트 여재를 사용하는 UNFS(Upflow Non-point source Filtering System) 시설의 노면배수에 함유된 중금속 제거 특성 (Characteristics of UNFS Using Carbide Pellet and Zeolite Pellet to Remove Heavy Metals Contained in Road Runoff)

  • Road runoff, one of non-point source pollutants, contains various heavy metals, most of which flow into discharge waters without being treated. The mechanism of removing the heavy metals in water is similar to that of removing micro-particles. Therefore, it is considered that it is possible to remove a lot of the heavy metals contained in the road runoff by filtering or absorbing them. In this paper, performed has been a basic study on the characteristics of UNFS (Up Flow Non-Point Source Filtering System) using carbide pellet and zeolite pellet as double-layer filtering mediums to treat the road runoff. The removal rate with filtering and absorption time has been shown as follows: 29.0% for Cr; 27.8% for Cd; 25.7% for Fe; 25.4% for Co; 21.2% for Pb; ]9.6% for Zn; 18.2% for Al; 17.0% for Mn; 11.3% for Ni; 7.5% for Cu. The overall removal rate according to influx change has been shown to be approximately 30%, and the load of heavy metals flowing out in initial precipitation could be reduced by using carbide as a recycling filtering medium. When the removal as coarse particles settle is added up, it is expected that UNFS will result in a higher removal rate.

  • 호소나 하천들의 오염은 일반적으로 점원 오염과 비점원 오염으로 구분할 수 있다. 연구 대상지역인 충주호주변은 호소 주위 도시들의 하수나 공장폐수에 의한 점원 오염뿐만 아니라, 강우에 의한 토양 침식 등에 의하여 야기되는 비점원 오염이 수년전부터 아주 중요한 오염원으로 등장되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 충주호주변의 이러한 비점원 오염을 GIS를 이용하여 정량적으로 분석하였으며, 대상 환경정보들을 데이타베이스화하여 GIS지도모형연구를 실시하였다. 지표 유출량 분석이 이루어진 후, 토양 유실량 계산과 원격탐사기법을 이용한 호소의 녹조류 분석 등이 실시되었으며, GIS 를 이용하여 구현된 환경지질정보시스템에 의하여 종합 분석되었다. 본 연구는 한국자원연구소 환경지질연구그룹에서 시행하고 있는 환경지질도작성 연구사업의 일부이며, 금번 연구결과를 토대로 차년도의 목표에서는 호소주변 개발에 따른 자연환경 오염 최소화의 개발적지 선정과 호소주변 도시들의 확장, 발달에 의한 호소 환경오염 방지 대책이 연구될 것이다.
