Since there are many kinds of non-ferrous metal, it is difficult to investigate the current status on the recycling of all the non-ferrous metals. Therefore, the survey is confined to some commercially important non-ferrous metals such as copper, aluminum, zinc, lead, nickel and magnesium in this article. Domestic demand and production of these non-ferrous metals in recent years (2010-2014) and recycling ratio of the scraps are estimated briefly here.

In this paper, we made different types of non-thermal plasma reactors such as Metal-particle reactor with $Al_2O_3$ to measure NOx removal characteristic and the dielectric effect for NOx removal. NOx removal rate is not so good when we use just dielectric of $Al_2O_3$ at the Metal-particle reactor, also we just put sludge pellets(100%) without Metal-particle reactor with $Al_2O_3$ and dielectric such as $TiO_2$, $BaTiO_3$ to measure the effect of sludge for NOx removal so that NOx removal rate is almost the same. However NOx removal rate is more than 90% in case of the reactor of composition shape used both dielectric of $Al_2O_3$ and sludge pellets at the same time. In case of the shape of plasma reactor with dielectric, the Metal-particle reactor with $Al_2O_3$, and the metal-particle reactor with both $Al_2O_3$ and dielectric such as $TiO_2$, $BaTiO_3$ at the same time, they are almost the same effect for NOx removal, so we made MNPR(Metal-particle Non-thermal Plasma Reactor with $Al_2O_3$) to reduce these kinds of demerits. Finally, we think MNPR should be much better than other reactors for NOx removal.
In this study, we give insight into questionable results that can be encountered in the conventional sequential extraction of heavy metals (Cd, Cu, and Zn) from soils. Objectives of this study were to determine the extraction variability of exchangeable (EXC)-metals as using six different EXC-extractants commonly accepted, and to investigate selectivity problems with carbonates bound (CAB)-metal fraction, a buffered acetate (1.0 M NaOAc; pH 5.0) extractable-metal fraction, leading to erratic results in especially non-calcareous soils. The contents of EXC-metals were markedly varied with the different extractability of various EXC-metal extractants used. The contents of EXC-Cd fraction were ranged from 2.0 to 74.3% of total Cd content in all of the metal spiked soils studied. The contents of EXC-Zn fraction extracted with the different EXC-extractants were varied with soil types, which were from 0.4 to 3.9% of total Zn in the calcareous soils, from 7.6 to 17.9% in the acidic soil, and from 13.6 to 56.8% in the peat soil. However, the contents of EXC-Cu fraction were relatively similar among the applications of different EXC-meal extractants, 0.2 to 2.1 % of total Cu, in all soils tested. Also, these varied amounts of EXC-metal fractions, especially Cd and Zn, seriously impacted the contents of subsequent metal fractions in the procedure. Furthermore, the CAB-Cd, -Cu, and -Zn fractions extracted by the buffered acetate solution were in critical problem. That is, the buffered acetate solution dissolved not only CAB-metals but also metals that bound or occupied to subsequent fractions, especially OXD-metal fraction, in both calcareous and non-calcareous soils. The erratic results of CAB-fraction also seriously impacted the amounts of subsequent metal fractions. Therefore, the conventional sequential extraction should be reconsidered theoretically and experimentally to quantify the target metal fractions or might be progressively discarded.
The magnetic and structural properties of transition metal (Mn, Fe, Co) monolayers on Ta(001) surfaces are investigated theoretically by using the first principles full-potential linearized augmented plane wave method. Mn and Fe monolayers become ferromagnetic on Ta(001) surfaces while Co monolayers becomes non-magnetic. The paramagnetism of Co monolayers is explained by the Stoner theory of magnetism. The magnetic coupling of a transition metal overlayer with a substrate is ascribed to the orbital hybridization between the s and d orbitals of the transition metal.
The purposed of this study was to investigate the effect of Gold bonding agent as intermediate layer between metal substrate and ceramic coating. Gold bonding agent used to seal off any surface porosity, to mask the greyish color of the metal, and to provide an underlying bright golden hue to the ceramic coverage. The adhesion between metal substrate and ceramic is related to diffusion of oxygen during ceramic firing. The oxide layer produced on non-precious alloy anti titanium was considered to have a potentially adverse effect on metal-ceramic bonding. The oxidation characteristics of titanium and non-precious alloys are the main problem. Every group were divided into test and control groups. Control groups are carried out process of degassing for product oxide layer. Au coating was applied on each Ni-Cr, Co-Cr alloys and cp-Ti specimens with difference surface condition or degassing. Specimens surfaces and cutting plane was characterized by SEM/EDS. Results suggested that Au coating is effective barriers to protect metal oxidation during ceramic firing.
Li metal is accepted as a good counter electrode for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) as the active material in Li-ion and Li-ion polymer batteries. We examined the existence of signal noise from a Li-metal counter quantitatively as a preliminary study. We suggest an electrochemical cell with one switchable electrode to obtain the exact impedance signal of active materials. To verify the effectiveness of the switchable electrode, EIS measurements of the solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) before severe $Li^+$ intercalation to SFG6 graphite (at > ca. 0.25 V vs. Li/$Li^+$) were taken. As a result, the EIS spectra without the signal of Li metal were obtained and analyzed successfully for the following parameters i) $Li^+$ conduction in the electrolyte, ii) the geometric resistance and constant phase element of the electrode (insensitive to the voltage), iii) the interfacial behavior of the SEI related to the $Li^+$ transfer and residence throughout the near-surface (sensitive to voltage), and iv) the term reflecting the differential limiting capacitance of $Li^+$ in the graphite lattice.

This paper describes the structure modeling and operation characteristics of MFMIS(metal-ferroelectric-metal-insulator-semiconductor) device using the Tsuprem4 which is a semiconductor device tool by Avanti. MFMIS device is being studied for nonvolatile memory application at various semiconductor laboratory but it is difficult to fabricate and analyze MFMIS devices using the semiconductor simulation tool: Tsuprem4, medici and etc. So the new library and new materials parameters for adjusting ferroelectric material and platinum electrodes in the tools are studied. In this paper structural model and operation characteristics of MFMIS devices are measured, which can be easily adopted to analysis of MFMIS device for nonvolatile memory device application.
the research has been made for alkali and metal element concentrations in top soils and plants from the abandoned coal mine, Keumsan, Chungnam Province. Samples of the top soil and plant (Miscanthus sinensis and Pinus rigida) were collected from the mine area in which was divided into t재 regions the polluted region influenced by the coal mining and the non-polluted region. pH of the top soils was 3.16-4.33 in the polluted region. Ca, Sr and P concentrations were high in the polluted soils, and Al and Ba concentrations were high in the non-polluted soils. No differences were found in K, Na and Ti concentrations. M. sinensis was higher in the element concentrations than P. rigida. In the average concentration of the alkali and metal element, M. sinensis showed high Cs and Na in the polluted region, and high Ba, Ca, K, Sr and concentrations in the non-polluted region. P. rigida had high Cs, Na and Rb concentrations in the polluted region. M. sinensis and P. rigida were higher in the root than above-ground part in the most element, but Ca and K. Ca, K and Na concentrations within both plants had higher than those of soils.

This paper is to investigate the spalling and fire endurance of high performance RC column member with PP fiber and lateral confinement of metal lath and non fire resistance removal type form. According to test results, combination of PP fiber and metal lath as well as use fire resistance non removal type form had favorable fire resistance by discharging internal vapour pressure and lateral confining. After fire endurance test, compressive strength decreased markedly caused by internal expansion pressure and crack. Residual strength of plain concrete was decreased to $22\%$. The use of PP fiber and lateral confinement of metal lath and non removal type form enhanced the residual strength above $40\%$. Especially, the combination of $0.1\%$ of PP fiber and lateral confinement with the level of 2.3T exhibited more than $51\%$ of residual strength. Therefore, to improve fire endurance and spalling resistance, the combination of $0.1\%$ of PP fiber and metal lath with 2.3T can be the proper measure.
