Hole-Cavity 공명기술과 미세공 스테인레스칩 소결 융합 소음기의 소음성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Noise Performance of Silencer Fused with Hole-Cavity Resonance Technology and Micro-Sphere Stainless Chip Sintering Technology)

  • In this study, the hole-cavity resonance technology and the micro pore stainless chip sintering technology were fused to develop silencers with excellent noise attenuation performance even at fluid pressures exceeding 30 bar for the first time at home and abroad. As a result of this study, the noise attenuation performance was greatly improved as reflection, loss, and resonance were made to occur thousands of times simultaneously when fluids pass through the sintered micro pore stainless steel chip sound absorber. The noise of the gas emitted from the bomb without the silencer was shown to be 125dB. And noise test conducted after installation of the silencer showed the noise of 67dB. Given the study results, the amount of noise was greatly reduced in the sintered silencer.

실내 무선 채널에서 전력검출 기반 Noncoherent OOK UWB 시스템의 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of a Noncoherent OOK UWB System Based on Power Detection in Indoor Wireless Channels)

  • 본 논문에서는 향후 유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크 응용 등에 적합하도록 간단한 송수신기 구조를 유지하면서, 실제 데이터를 전송하기 전에 Noise Power Calibration 및 Noise Power Windowing 방법을 통해 잡음의 영향을 고려하여 적응적인 임계값을 결정하고 이를 이용하여 전력검출 (Power Detection)을 수행하여 성능을 향상하는 임펄스 라디오 (Impulse Radio) 형태의 Noncoherent OOK (On-Off Keying) UWB (Ultra Wide Band) 시스템을 제시하고, 전형적인 UWB 실내 무선 채널 모델에서의 성능을 분석하였다. 모의실험 결과 AWGN (Additive White Gaussian Noise) 채널에서는 Noise Power Calibration 모드를 위한 슬롯수의 증가에 따라 이상적인 Ideal Adaptive Threshold를 사용하는 경우께 근접하는 우수한 성능을 보임을 확인할 수 있었고, 반면 데이터 전송률의 큰 감소를 감수해야 하는 Noise Power Windowing 방법에 의한 성능 개선은 두드러지게 나타나지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 더욱이 IEEE 802.15 Task Group 3a UWB 실내 채널 모델을 이용한 모의실험 결과, Noise Power Calibration 모드가 적용된 Noncoherent OOK UWB 시스템의 성능이 Ideal Adaptive Threshold의 경우와 비트오율 성능이 매우 근접하며, 펄스 반복 전송의 회수의 증가에 따라 비트오율 성능이 향상됨을 확인 할 수 있었다.

  • For the purpose of the acoustic performance evaluation of noise reduction device(NRD) installed at the top of noise barrier for further decreasing of noise level of 400km/h class high-speed railroad(HEMU), the acoustic performance test method using speaker instead of really running railway vehicle was suggested in this paper. For this, noise source location and frequency spectrum of HEMU was analyzed through the field noise test. These data were used for the determination of speaker's installation positions and frequency correction values applied to the speaker noise source. And, 400 meters long NRD was installed at the site where HEMU will be running at a speed of 400km/h. Finally, the outdoor speaker test with and without NRD showed that this NRD could decrease noise level even more than 3dB(A). In the future, the acoustic performance results of NRD conducted with speaker test will be compared with that of field test for HEMU running at a speed of 400km/h.

타이어/노면에 대한 Pass-by Noise 특성 연구 (A Study on Pass-by Noise Performance for Tire/Road)

  • It is well known that tire/road factors have a large influence on overall tire performance. In this paper, the basic study on the effects of tire/road factors on the pass-by noise performance of tire labeling has been carried out through experimental tests. The tire pass-by noise is affected by road characteristic factors, especially greatly influenced by road friction coefficient, and the next dominant factor is road chipping size. For several authorized pass-by noise test tracks, the pass-by noise correlation test has been done to know the test site effect, which results in 2~3dB(A) variation of pass-by noise level. Finally, it is shown that the winter tire is differently influenced by the pass-by noise test track characteristics, as compared to all-season tire and summer tire.

능동방음벽 시스템의 제어 음원 위치 선정에 미치는 최적화 기법 성능 비교 연구 (A Study on the Performance Comparison of Optimization Techniques on the Selection of Control Source Positions in an Active Noise Barrier System)

  • There were many attempts to reduce noise behind the noise barrier using active control techniques. Omoto(1993) Shao(1997) and Yang(2001) tried to actively control the diffracted noise behind the barrier and main concerns were about the arrangement methods for the control sources. Baek (2004) tried to get better results using the simulated annealing method and the sequential searching technique. The main goal of this study is to develop and compare the performance of several optimization techniques including those mentioned above, hybrid version of simulated annealing and genetic algorithm for the optimal control source positions of active noise barrier system. The simulation results show fairly similar performance lot the small size of searching problem. However, as the number of control sources are increased, the performance of simulated annealing algorithm and genetic algorithm are better than the others. Simulations are also made to show the performance of the selected optimal control source positions not only at the receiver position but at the surrounding volume of the receiver position and plotted the noise reduction level in 3-D.

Gate-to-Drain Capacitance Dependent Model for Noise Performance Evaluation of InAlAs/InGaAs Double-gate HEMT

  • In the present work, the effect of the gate-to-drain capacitance ($C_{gd}$) on the noise performance of a symmetric tied-gate $In_{0.52}Al_{0.48}As/In_{0.53}Ga_{0.47}As$ double-gate HEMT is studied using an accurate charge control based approach. An analytical expression for the gate-to-drain capacitance is obtained. In terms of the intrinsic noise sources and the admittance parameters ($Y_{11}$ and $Y_{21}$ which are obtained incorporating the effect of $C_{gd}$), the various noise performance parameters including the Minimum noise figure and the Minimum Noise Temperature are evaluated. The inclusion of gate-to-drain capacitance is observed to cause significant reduction in the Minimum Noise figure and Minimum Noise Temperature especially at low values of drain voltage, thereby, predicting better noise performance for the device.

디지털 위성통신시스템에서 위상 잡음으로 인한 성능 손실 예측 (Prediction of Performance Loss Due to Phase Noise in Digital Satellite Communication System)

  • 본 논문에서는 PSK 변조 신호에 대한 위상 잡음 성능 특성을 무한 급수로 전개하여 위상 잡음 분포 함수인 Tikhonov 함수와 Gaussian 함수에 대한 오율 특성을 평가하였으며, 위상 잡음에 의한 성능 손실 분석을 통하여 Tikhonov 함수와 Gaussian 함수에 의한 위상 잡음 영향이 일치하는 복원 반송파 신호대 잡음비 범위를 고찰하였다. 그리고, 주파수 변조 신호의 변조 지수와 위상 잡음의 상관 정의에 의해 1/f$^2$특성을 갖는 위상 잡음 신호를 발생하였으며, 발생된 위상 잡음 신호를 디지털 위성통신시스템 수신기에 적용하여 측정한 위상 잡음에 의한 성능 손실과 위상 잡음 분포 함수에 의해 분석된 성능 열화를 평가하였다

Feedback Active Noise Control Based Voice Enhancing Ear-Protection System

  • This paper proposes a voice enhancing ear-protection system which is based on feedback active noise control(FBANC). The proposed system selectively suppresses the background noise and preserves the talking voice by controlling the adaptive algorithm with the voice activity period detection module. The noise reduction performance of the proposed noise canceling algorithm is analytically derived for the two key performance affecting parameters, i.e., electro-acoustic coupling distance and noise bandwidth. The proposed system is also implemented with a floating-point DSP system and its performance is experimentally tested to compare with the analytically derived results. The achieved levels of noise reduction for the three different noise bandwidths cases, i.e., 10Hz, 50Hz, and 90Hz, are high to show 17.05dB, 10.54dB and 8.99dB, respectively. The feasibility of the proposed system is also shown by the peak noise reduction achieved more than 25dB while preserving the voice component in the frequency range between 200-800Hz.

Study on Efficient Impulsive Noise Mitigation for Power Line Communication

  • In this paper, we propose the efficient impulsive noise mitigation scheme for power line communication (PLC) systems in smart grid applications. The proposed scheme estimates the channel impulsive noise information of receiver by applying machine learning. Then, the estimated impulsive noise is updated in data base. In the modulator, the impulsive noise which reduces the PLC performance is effectively mitigated through proposed technique. As an impulsive noise model, Middleton Class A interference model was employed. The performance is evaluated in terms of bit error rate (BER). From the simulation results, it is confirmed that the proposed scheme has better BER performance compared to the conventional model. As a result, the proposed noise mitigation improves the signal quality of PLC systems by effectively removing the channel noise. The results of the paper can be applied to PLC systems for smart grid.

직교류 홴의 설계인자가 성능 및 소음 특성에 미치는 영향에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study of the Influences of Basic Design Parameters on the Performance and the Noise Characteristics of Cross-flow Fans)

  • The cross-flow fans have been widely used to constitute the air moving systems in many air-ventilating and air-conditioning units. The cross-flow fan system has many design parameters which have crucial influence on the performance and the noise characteristics of the units. As a result there are many difficulties in the design stage of the system and the general design guide has not been sufficiently established yet. This study presents the experimental results of the parametric investigation of some chosen design parameters which are directly related to the shape of the stabilizer the profile of the scroll casing and the diffusion angle of the flow exit. The results are expressed in terms of the fan performance and the specific sound pressure level characteristics. Some parameters have been found to have crucial effects on the system performance/noise characteristics and should be considered with care in the design stage.
