다결정 CdTe 기반의 광계수형 X선 센서 제작 및 특성평가 (The Fabrication and Property Evaluation of Poly-crystalline CdTe based Photon Counting X-ray Sensor)

  • 종래의 방사선 의료영상 센서는 방사선에 의해 생성된 전하신호를 화소내에서 적분하는 방식이다. 본 연구에서는 저선량에서 우수한 해상력이 가능한 광계수형 영상센서를 개발하기 위해 진공 열증착법을 이용하여 다결정 CdTe(p-CdTe) 필름을 제작하였다. 또한, 광계수형 센서의 성능평가를 위하여 물리적 특성(SEM, XRD) 및 전기적 특성(leakage current, x-ray sensitivity, SNR) 평가를 하였다. 측정 결과, $1V/{\mu}m$ 이하의 인가전압에서 $5nA/cm^2$ 이하의 누설 전류밀도를 보였으며, X선 발생신호량은 $7{\mu}C/cm^2{\cdot}R$으로 광계수형 센서로의 적용에 적합한 것으로 평가되었다. 또한, 신호대잡음비는 동작영역에서 5000 이상의 값을 보였다.

Improvement of Analytic Reconstruction Algorithms Using a Sinogram Interpolation Method for Sparse-angular Sampling with a Photon-counting Detector

  • Sparse angular sampling has been studied recently owing to its potential to decrease the radiation exposure from computed tomography (CT). In this study, we investigated the analytic reconstruction algorithm in sparse angular sampling using the sinogram interpolation method for improving image quality and computation speed. A prototype of the spectral CT system, which has a 64-pixel Cadmium Zinc Telluride (CZT)-based photon-counting detector, was used. The source-to-detector distance and the source-to-center of rotation distance were 1,200 and 1,015 mm, respectively. Two energy bins (23~33 keV and 34~44 keV) were set to obtain two reconstruction images. We used a PMMA phantom with height and radius of 50.0 mm and 17.5 mm, respectively. The phantom contained iodine, gadolinium, calcification, and lipid. The Feld-kamp-Davis-Kress (FDK) with the sinogram interpolation method and Maximum Likelihood Expectation Maximization (MLEM) algorithm were used to reconstruct the images. We evaluated the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the materials. The SNRs of iodine, calcification, and liquid lipid were increased by 167.03%, 157.93%, and 41.77%, respectively, with the 23~33 keV energy bin using the sinogram interpolation method. The SNRs of iodine, calcification, and liquid state lipid were also increased by 107.01%, 13.58%, and 27.39%, respectively, with the 34~44 keV energy bin using the sinogram interpolation method. Although the FDK algorithm with the sinogram interpolation did not produce better results than the MLEM algorithm, it did result in comparable image quality to that of the MLEM algorithm. We believe that the sinogram interpolation method can be applied in various reconstruction studies using the analytic reconstruction algorithm. Therefore, the sinogram interpolation method can improve the image quality in sparse-angular sampling and be applied to CT applications.

  • Purpose - This study focuses on clues that can clearly amplify the effects of background music. Review which store environments have a direct and positive impact on consumer responses, such as purchases. Research design, data, and methodology - This study focuses on clues that can clearly amplify the effects of background music. The purpose of this study is to examine what kind of store environment, combined with background music, has a direct and positive effect on consumer reactions such as purchase, and suggest future research directions. Results - The manager decides to use background music in the store because it is relatively inexpensive and easy to identify the emotional response of the consumer. In addition, appropriate background music lowers the psychological purchasing barriers of consumers. Previous studies have often not conducted a basic review of whether consumers perceive background music when it is used in retail stores. For example, it is necessary to make sure that the volume of the background music is loud enough and that the noise is properly excluded despite the congestion of the store so that the pure influence of the background music on the consumer can be measured. A way for store managers to clarify and differentiate their identity is to create a unique and satisfying store atmosphere for their customers. In order to help customers focus on their purchases, store managers must use marketing elements to integrate the five senses. And they should plan background music aiming at synergy effect of these five senses. In other words, in order to make the store atmosphere positive, it is not enough to have a suitable visual design interior or background music in the store, and consumers should have the opportunity to smell, taste and touch it directly. Conclusions - In conclusion, we hope that the following issues will be studied by several scholars in the future. It should be clarified that the impact of background music on customers varies depending on the customer's movement in the store, the selection of the background music genre order, and the timing (interval) of background music exposure to the customer.

이미지 센서에 의해 발생하는 노이즈 제거를 위한 영상의 조도에 따른 적응적 로컬 시그마 필터의 구현 (Implementation of the adaptive Local Sigma Filter by the luminance for reducing the Noises created by the Image Sensor)

  • 본 논문에서는 이미지 센서에 의해 발생하는 노이즈를 제거하기 위한 적응적 로컬 시그마 필터 장치를 제안하였다. 이미지 센서에 의해 발생하는 작은 노이즈는 이미지 센서의 아날로그 게인과 노출시간의 증가로 인해 영상 정보와 함께 증폭되며 이러한 노이즈 제거를 목표로 시스템을 설계 하였다. Flatness Index Map 알고리즘을 사용해 영상의 윤곽선을 추출하였으며, 임계치가 영상의 휘도에 따라 적응적으로 변화하도록 설계하여 고조도 영상에서는 윤곽선 추출을 수행하지 않으며, 저조도에서만 윤곽선을 추출하도록 하였다. 추출된 윤곽선을 판단하여 그에 해당하는 픽셀에 대해서만 Local Sigma Filter 알고리즘을 사용하여 노이즈 제거를 수행 하였다. 설계된 필터의 성능 검증을 위해 윈도우 테스트 프로그램을 제작하였다. 그리고 HDL을 사용해 하드웨어로 설계하였으며, FPGA Demonstration board와 $1280{\times}720$ 이미지 사이즈, 30 frame/sec의 성능을 갖는 HD급 CMOS 이미지 센서를 사용해 하드웨어로 설계된 로컬 시그마 필터의 동작을 검증하였다.

저압확장파 검출을 통한 배관 누출 및 누출위치 예측 (Leak and Leak Point Prediction by Detecting Negative Pressure Wave in High Pressure Piping System)

  • 고압 가스 배관망의 안전관리는 매우 중요한 문제로 배관의 외적 손상으로 구멍이 생길 경우 발생하는 누출은 폭발 및 환경오염을 포함한 막대한 경제적 손실을 야기할 수 있다. 누출 검지를 위한 PLDS(Pipeline leak detection system린 기술로 저압확장파 검지 기술이 적용되고 있으며 본 논문에서는 CFD++ 상용코드를 활용하여 배관 누출시 유동특성을 이론적으로 해석하여 저압확장파의 발생 메커니즘과 음속으로 확장되는 전파특성을 규명하였다. 또한 긴 배관망에 적용하기 위한 1차원 해석 방법을 제시하고 신뢰성을 CFD해석 결과로 검증하였다.

서울시 환경보건정책 로드맵 수립 (Process and Results of Seoul Metropolitan Government's Environmental Health Policy Road Map)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to introduce the establishment process and results of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's road map on environmental health policy. Methods: The process consisted of expert group meetings, civic participation, research, and questionnaire survey for priority environmental health policy agenda items in Seoul. Results: The announced vision for the environmental health policy was "a healthy environment, safety in Seoul". This policy was established in order to define environment health policy initiatives for a period of five years with an aim to protect Seoul citizens' health from hazardous environmental factors. The resulting Seoul environmental health policy consisted of four areas and 16 key agenda items. The four areas were "Protection for children against hazardous materials", "Enhancement of health and safety of all", "Carcinogen-free and endocrine-disrupting chemical-free Seoul (reducing environmental exposure to hazardous materials), and "Establish the foundation of environmental health policy". Sixteen key agenda items include the enhancement of management of spaces for children, certification of environmental health status at schools, establishment of a unit responsible for the environmental health of children, strengthening environmental health management for susceptible populations (children, the aged, and the socioeconomically vulnerable), management of hazardous materials, physical hazardous factors (noise, radiation, etc.), indoor air quality, and the enhancement of monitoring, research, and regulation of environment health. Conclusion: The Seoul Metropolitan Government established an environmental health policy road map for a five-year period (2013-2017). To implement this environmental health policy, budget allocation, and detailed execution plans are required.

Integrating GPS/INS/PL for Robust Positioning: The Challenging Issues

  • The Global Positioning System (GPS), Inertial Navigation System (INS) and Pseudolite (PL) technologies all play very important roles in navigation systems. As an independent navigation system, GPS can provide high precision positioning results which are independent of time. However, the performance will become unreliable when the system experiences high dynamics, or when the receiver is exposed to jamming or RF interference. In comparison to GPS, though INS is autonomous and provides good short-term accuracy, its use as a standalone navigation system is limited due to the time-dependent growth of the inertial sensor errors. PLs are ground-based transmitters that can transmit GPS-like signals. They have some advantages in that their positions can be determined precisely, and the Signal-to-Noise Ratios (SNR) are relatively high. Because their combined performance, in principle, overcomes the shortcomings of the individual systems, the integration of GPS, INS and PL is increasingly receiving attention from researchers. Depending on the desired performance vs complexity, system integration can be carried out at different levels, namely loose, tight and ultra-tight coupling. Compared with loose and tight integration, although it is more complex in terms of system design, ultra-tight integration will be the basis of the next generation of reliable and robust navigation systems. Its main advantages include improved performance under exposure to high dynamics, and jamming and RF interference mitigation. This paper presents an overview of the ultra-tight integration developments and discusses some of the challenging issues.

이동형 전산화단층촬영장치의 기본 안전 및 필수 성능 기준을 마련하기 위한 연구 (A Study on Establishment of Basic Safety and Essential Performance Criteria of Mobile Computed Tomography)

  • As the number of Coronavirus Disease-19 (COVID-19) patients increases in a global pandemic situation, the usefulness of mobile computed tomography (CT) is gaining attention. Currently, mobile CT follows the basic safety and essential performance evaluation criteria of whole-body or limited-view X-ray CT in order to obtain device approval and evaluation in the Republic of Korea. Unlike stationary CT, mobile CT is not operated in shielded areas but rather areas such as intensive care units, operating rooms, or isolation rooms. Therefore, it requires a different basic safety and essential performance evaluation standard than stationary CT. In this study, four derived basic safety evaluation criteria related to electrical, mechanical, and radiation safety were included (dose indication test, protection against stray radiation, safety measures against excessive X-rays, half-value layer measurement); and seven essential performance evaluation criteria were included (tube voltage accuracy, mAs accuracy, radiation dose reproducibility, CT number of water, noise, uniformity, and spatial resolution); total eleven basic safety and essential performance evaluation criteria were selected. This study aims to establish appropriate basic safety and essential performance evaluation criteria for simultaneously obtaining images with diagnostic value and reducing the exposure of nearby patients, medical staff, and radiologic technologists during the use of mobile CT.

주광이 무선 광통신 시스템의 수신 감도에 미치는 영향 (Impact of Solar Irradiance on the Receiver Sensitivity of Free-Space Optical Communication Systems)

  • 실외에서 운용되는 무선 광통신 시스템의 수신기는 태양광에 직·간접적으로 노출되기 마련이다. 본 논문에서는 주광이 무선 광통신 시스템의 수신 감도에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 방사 조도 측정치를 활용하여 지상에 위치한 수신기에 특정 시야각으로 직접 또는 간접적으로 입사하는 단위 면적당 태양광 전력 스펙트럼 밀도를 얻었고, 이 값을 이용하여 세기 변조/직접 검출 및 코히어런트 시스템의 성능 열화를 계산하였다. 분석 결과 주광이 수신기에 간접적으로 인가되는 경우 수신 감도 페널티가 시스템 종류에 관계없이 1.3 dB 이하였으나, 직접적으로 인가되는 경우에는 30 dB 이상의 매우 큰 수신 감도 열화가 발생하였다. 또한 이러한 수신 감도 열화는 편광자 사용 또는 광학 필터 대역폭 조절에 의해서도 거의 경감되지 않았다.

건설현장에서 발생하는 산화규소분진의 유해성 및 작업환경 개선대책에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Harmfulness of Silicon Oxide Dust and Measures for the Work Environment Improvement in Construction Sites)

  • 연구목적: 건설현장에서 작업환경측정을 하고 있으나 노출되고 있는 유해인자를 세분화하여 작업환경 측정을 하지 않고 공정별 대표적으로 노출되는 소음, 진동 등 몇 가지만 실시하고 있다. 이에 건설현장에서 가장 많이 노출되는 산화규소분진의 유해성과 현재 건설현장에서 하고있는 개선대책의 보완점을 찾고자 한다. 연구방법: 안전보건공단과 산업보건협회에서 발행하는 실태조사 보고서 및 작업환경측정 기관의 자료를 활용하여 현황을 분석하였고 산업안전보건법의 작업환경측정에 관한 규칙과 비교분석 하였다. 연구결과: 산화규소분진의 유해성을 파악하고 개선책을 보완도출하였다. 결론: 건설현장의 산화규소분진의 유해성을 도출하고 이에 따른 개선대책을 제시함으로써 현장에서 적극적으로 적용한다면 산화규소분진에 대한 직업병을 줄일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
