침전조 상등액과 유입하수의 유량대비에 따른 하수 내 질소 화합물 제거특성 (Removal Characteristic of Nitrogenous Compounds According to the Combination of Feeding Ratio between the Supernatant of Precipitation Tank and Raw Domestic Wastewater)

  • 본 연구에서는 CFSTR(Continuous-flow Stirred-Tank Reactor) 형식의 반응조에 담체가 채워진 호기-혐기조합 공법에 따른 질산화 및 탈질화에 관한 효율의 증대와 유입수 및 침전조 상등액의 유량대비를 조절 하므로써 질소제거의 효율 증대에 관한 방법을 모색하고자 하였다. 탈질조 내의 탈질효율에 비례하여 포기 반응조 내의 질산성 질소 농도를 산출하고자 유입수와 침전조 내에서의 상등액을 탈질조로 반송하여 유입하고 유입수와 반송되는 침전조 상등액 유입의 유량대비를 통하여 최종적으로 반응조에 대한 질소제거의 효율을 파악하고자 하였다. 적절한 유량대비를 이용하였을 때 탈질조 내의 필요한 탄소원의 공급이 유입수로 통해 이루어지는 것으로 판단되어지며, 외부탄소원의 주입 없이 유입수 만으로도 완벽하게 탈질이 이루어지는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. 하지만 유입수와 침전조 상등액의 유량대비에서 침전조 상등액의 유량비가 커지면 커질수록 유입수내의 탄소원의 유입이 줄어들기 때문에 이에 대한 탄소원의 농도에 대한 산정이 중요하다고 생각된다.

낙동강 소수계별 유달부하량 산정 및 평가 (Computation and Assessment of Delivery Pollutant Loads for the Streams in the Nakdong River Basin)

  • Production loads of the contaminants near the Nakdong-river are, BOD : $1,006ton{\cdot}day^{-1}$, TN : $117ton{\cdot}day^{-1}$, and TP : $21ton{\cdot}day^{-1}$. Among the sources of contamination, the biggest contribution to the production load was shared by the human population, which maintains 40.7% of BOD, 44.2% of TN, and 52.5% of TP production. Similarly, among the sources of discharge load, the human population contributed 45.0% of BOD, 34.5% of TN, and 45.8% of TP. Results of flow investigation in 2001 and 2002 indicate that among the side streams, Nam-river showed the greatest average flow. In case of main stream flow, it was increased in the downstream due to the increase of the influents from the side streams. In case of BOD, COD, TOC and SS, high values were detected at Keumho-river where industrial wastewater was discharged as high level concentration. In case of the main stream, Koryoung point where direct influence of Keumho-river and Seongseo industrial complex is evident showed high BOD, COD and TOC. Oxidized nitrogen compounds and total nitrogen showed similar patterns of BOD, COD, and TOC. Especially, nitrate nitrogen was relatively high at all points. However, in case of Chlorophyll-a, relatively high values were observed at mid- and downstream areas such as Koryoung, Namjee, Soosan, Moolkeum and Hakooeun. This could be caused by the slow flow rate and the abundant nutrient salts attributed by the side streams. Relatively better water quality was observed in 2002 when the flow was relatively abundant than that in 2001. Results of investigation during 2001-2002 showed that delivery load increased as the flow reaches downstream. In 2001, delivery loads at the downstream Soosan-bridge were BOD $22,152ton{\cdot}day^{-1}$, COD $45,467ton{\cdot}day^{-1}$, TN $22,062ton{\cdot}day^{-1}$, TP $926ton{\cdot}day^{-1}$. Delivery loads in 2002 were increased due to the increase of the rainfall. They are BOD $25,876ton{\cdot}day^{-1}$, COD $64,200ton{\cdot}day^{-1}$, TN $41,101ton{\cdot}day^{-1}$, and TP $1,362ton{\cdot}day^{-1}$.

결빙 관막음시 배관내 유체 결빙현상의 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study for the Liquid Freezing Phenomena in a Pipe During Ice Plugging)

  • The ice plugging process consists of placing liquid nitrogen around a pipe and removing heat until the water in the pipe freezes and provides a solid plug or seal against fluid movement. This technique enables us to repair or inspect a pipe system without shutdown of entire system. A set of test apparatus for investigation of the liquid freezing phenomena during ice plugging is prepared. This study shows the characteristics of the liquid freezing and the heat transfer with various pipe and freezing jacket conditions. And in case there is flow of the fluid inside the pipe, the flow rate which can be able to form the ice plug is identified with the effect of the pipe diameter and freezing jacket length on the plug formation. The permissible maximum flow rate for the complete plug formation is approximately proportional to the freezing jacket length at the same pipe diameter condition.

감압 플라즈마를 이용한 Escherichia coli 살균 (Low-Pressure Plasma Inactivation of Escherichia coli)

  • 저온에서 미생물을 사멸시킬 수 있는 비열살균기술로 감압 플라즈마를 활용하고자 생성기체별 감압 플라즈마 특성을 비교하고 Escherichia coli 살균효과를 조사하였다. 1 Torr이하로 감압시킨 상태에서 공기, 산소, 질소를 350 mL/min으로 공급하며 플라즈마를 발생시킨 결과 아크발생 없이 균일한 플라즈마가 생성되었다. 감압 플라즈마에 의한 온도 상승은 5분 처리 시 ${10^{\circ}C}$ 내외, 10분 처리 시 ${25^{\circ}C}$ 미만이었으며, 기체 종류별로는 공기, 산소, 질소 순으로 상승도가 낮았다. 감압 플라즈마 5분간 처리로 E. coli는 5 log 이상 감소하였으며, 이후 감소율이 둔화되어 10분간 처리 후 6-7 log 정도의 감소를 보였다. 감압 플라즈마에 의한 E. coli 살균패턴은 살균속도가 높은 초기와 낮은 후기로 구분되는 2단계 1차 반응으로 확인되었으며, 초기 살균속도상수($k_{1}$)는 공기, 산소, 질소 순으로 감소하였다. 감압 공기플라즈마 살균의 작은 D값 또한 식품 표면의 오염도를 낮추기 위한 비열살균기술로서의 가능성을 제시하였다.

  • We repport the effects of active nitrogens on the low-tempperature growth of GaN by a remote pplasma-enhanced metal-organic chemical vappor depposition method. the emission intensities of active nitrogens increase with fr ppower and nitrogen flow rate, but decrease with total reactor ppressure. Low-tempperature growth of GaN are greatly affected by the concentrations of active nitrogens and its concentrations are closely related with the emission intensities.

  • In this study, a new laval type nozzle was designed and manufactured. Using this nozzle tin powder was produced in close coupled system by using nitrogen gas at different operating conditions. The results showed that the increasing the gas pressure up to 1.47 MPa reduced the mean powder size down to 11.39 microns with a gas/melt mass flow rate ratio of 2.0. Powders are spherical in shape and have smooth surfaces.

  • The inert gas dilution effect for the stability of a stratified propane premixed flame has been experimentally studied. The addition of inert gases to a stratified premixed flame, which used to be very stable without dilution, makes a flame unstable. The lower equivalence ratio on the outer premixed flame and the lower fuel flow rate through the inner nozzle were observed to be the more stable conditions for the stratified premixed flame with nitrogen or argon dilution. It has been interpreted with the flame structure change such as shift of stoichiometric ratio region in a flame.

탄소환원질화법에 의한 AlN 합성의 속도론적 연구 (Kinetic Study of Synthesis of Aluminum Nitride Using Carbon Reduction and Subsequent Nitridation Method)

  • 탄소환원질화법을 이용하여 질화알루미늄(Aluminum Nitride: AlN)을 제조하는 연구를 실험실 규모로 수행하였다. 고품위 알루미나 분말과 탄소(carbon black)를 배합하여 흑연 도가니에 장입하고, 노내 분위기를 진공으로 한 다음 질소 가스를 흘려주어 온도($1,600{\sim}1,700^{\circ}C$), 시간(0.5~6 hr), $N_2$유량($4.7{\times}10^{-6}{\sim}20{\times}10^{-6}m^3/sec$), 장입 시료층 높이(0.5~20 mm)를 변화시키면서 AlN을 합성하였다. 실험결과, 고순도 알루미나와 탄소 혼합물을 질소 분위기의 $1600{\sim}1700^{\circ}C$ 온도 범위에서 반응시킬 때 반응 온도가 높을수록 생성된 AlN의 1차 입자 크기가 커지고, 반응 활성화 에너지는 382 kJ/mol로 화학 반응이 율속 단계로 판단되었다. 시험 제조한 AlN들의 산소 함량은 0.71~0.96 wt%였고, 질소는 30.7~35.1 wt%로서 상용 제품과 근접한 결과를 나타내었다.

  • Laminar lifted methane jet flame diluted with nitrogen and helium in co-flow air has been investigated experimentally. This paper examines the role of chemistry, intermediate species responsible for stabilization of lifted flame. To elucidate the stabilization mechanism in lifted methane jet flames with Sc<1, the chemiluminescence intensities of $CH^*$ and $OH^*$ were measured using ICCD camera at various nozzle exit velocities and fuel mole fractions. It has been observed that the $OH^*$ species can play an important role in stabilization of lifted methane jet flame as they are good indicators of heat release rate which can affect on flame speed and increase stability through reduction in ignition delay time.
