  • Nowadays, in network business and communication, structures and systems are independently constructed with existing IT services and 3G services without considering common functions between them. In order to solve these problems, the study on the structure and interface of the SDP can efficiently provide the methodology of existing or new services to users and easily develop to service providers. In this paper, we will suggest an adequate structure of the SDP, and then present the implementation of a presence service enabler that is one of basic components in the SDP.

  • In this paper, a cross-layer resource allocation mechanism is proposed for wireless multimedia service. In particular, a game theory based on quality of service (QoS) for multimedia users is introduced to deal with the fairness of network resource allocation in wireless networks. Moreover, the channel states of wireless users are additionally regarded under the cross-layer design in WiMAX environment. In details, the bargaining solution is adopted to discover the efficient and fair resource allocation strategy for multimedia service in considering QoS in the peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and the channel states in the carrier-to-interface ratio (CINR). The proposed mechanism is illustrated and evaluated by simulation results of transmitting video sequences in WiMAX environment.

  • AAL type 2 provides for the bandwidth efficient transmission of low bit rate, short and variable packets in delay sensitive application. The service object for these networks ranges from POTS to multimedia conference. In this paper, we present one possible architecture which common part sublayer for new AAL type 2. The proposed CPS function has been achieved with on a FPGA The proposed architecture is faithful to the standardization of ITU-T and ATM-forum recommendation The proposed architecture applies to variable packet length from architecture CODECs for cellular network.. It's maximum process capability is 155Mbps with 256 CIDs. The architecture has sync./async. interface to application block and UTOPIA interface is used for physical layer interface.

  • The QOS(Quality of Service) recognized by the customer will become the most important thing under the competitive telecommunications market. Korea Telecom is going to develop many system to manage the telecommunication network, to improve the level of QOS, and to increase the revenue. Operation and Maintenance Adiministration System is one of the systems developed to meet those purposes efficiently. This system gathers qualities data from telephone offices or operation centers and analyze the results of QOS improvement activities and evaluate overall QOS. And also system makes it possible to improve the cost/effectiveness of operation and maintenance of telecommunication network. Operation and Maintenance Administration System has four functional modules, i.e., the user interface module, the database management module, the QOS management module, and the database conversion module. The purpose of this study is to develop the QOS management program, one of the four functional modules of the system,using FOCUS 4GL/DBMS. Since Operation and Maintenance Administration System is developed using FOCUS 4GL, every user can handle and maintain the system very easily and reduce system backlogs.

  • This paper deals with a subject for implementation of L+ayer 1 and Layer 2(LAPD) of ISDN user-network interface on the basis of CCITT recommandation I.411, I.412, I.441 (Q.921), I.450(Q.930) and I.451 (Q.931) for ultrasonic image transfer. For the implementa tion of LAPD protocol of ISDN in this study. PC-CARD based hardware(TA :Terminal Adopt) is proposed and operating system (PC-XINU) supporting the Multiprocessing is transplanted to it. As the Service Access Point(SAP) is accessed by using the port of XINU and Layers which consist of transmitting and receiving part are independantly processed for each other in this proposed system. It can be easy and flexible to implement LAPD protocol for the message transfer.

Analysis of Distributed DDQ for QoS Router

  • In a packet switching network, congestion is unavoidable and affects the quality of real-time traffic with such problems as delay and packet loss. Packet fair queuing (PFQ) algorithms are well-known solutions for quality-of-service (QoS) guarantee by packet scheduling. Our approach is different from previous algorithms in that it uses hardware time achieved by sampling a counter triggered by a periodic clock signal. This clock signal can be provided to all the modules of a routing system to get synchronization. In this architecture, a variant of the PFQ algorithm, called digitized delay queuing (DDQ), can be distributed on many line interface modules. We derive the delay bounds in a single processor system and in a distributed architecture. The definition of traffic contribution improves the simplicity of the mathematical models. The effect of different time between modules in a distributed architecture is the key idea for understanding the delay behavior of a routing system. The number of bins required for the DDQ algorithm is also derived to make the system configuration clear. The analytical models developed in this paper form the basis of improvement and application to a combined input and output queuing (CIOQ) router architecture for a higher speed QoS network.

  • The VB5.2 interface of B-lSDN, that is located between an access network and a service node, allows dynamic allocation and release of ATM resources. In this paper, we propose the B-ANCC protocol of the VB5.2 interface to minimize the overall connection setup delay by introducing the access network. The B-ANCC protocol enhances the B-BCC protocol and adopts a parallel interworking function with signaling protocols in the service node. To confirm the correctness of the proposed B-ANCC protocol, we validate it using the automated validation tool, SPIN. We analyze and simulate the sequential interworking model based on the B-BCC protocol and the parallel interworking model based on the B-ANCC protocol, in terms of a connection setup delay and a completion ratio. It is shown that our proposed parallel interworking model with B-ANCC reduces a setup delay and improves a completion ratio compared to the sequential interworking model with B-BCC.

  • Primarily working on SNS(Social Network Service) platform, the SNG(Social Network Game) utilizes friends and neighbors for invitation and play. Based on the value model of HCI, this paper purports to discover how functional, hedonic, social and personal values predict the continuous usage intention and satisfaction of SNG in a smartphone. Hypothesis testing through structural equation modeling shows that hedonic and functional values affect satisfaction and intention to use of SNG while social and personal values do not. This result implies that fun and easy interface are more important to the success of SNG service than social networking motivation.

  • As network resources have become faster and demands for multimedia service through network have increased, the demand for Media server system has increased. These kinds of media server solve their bottle neck problem of internal storage device by using parallel system which takes advantage of fast network resource. Many vendors have suggested each of their media server system to solve these problem radically, but most of them require major modification of infra component and additional drawback has added. For example, storage mechanism for specific media requires new file system which is totally different from traditional one, and algorithm for enhancing performance may not suit for traditional operating system environment. In this paper, we designed a parallel media server based on web interface of traditional system and implemented a program for media server. Implemented server system performs parallel processing through web interface without any modification of traditional system, and controls which is related to merging load by distributed data is charged only to client and control server and consequently load of storage server can be minimized. And also, data transfer protocol for streaming media includes Retransfer algorithm and client Admission control policy relevant to performance of whole system.
