  • The clock skew is one of the major constraints for high-speed operation of synchronous integrated circuits. In this paper, we propose a hierarchical partitioning based clock network design algorithm called Advanced Clock Tree Generation (ACTG). Especially new effective partitioning and refinement techniques have been developed in which the capacitance and edge length to each sink are considered from the early stage of clock design. Hierarchical structures obtained by parhtioning and refinement are utilized for balanced clock routing. We use zero skew routing in which Elmore delay model is used to estimate the delay. An overlap avoidance routing algorithm for clock tree generation is proposed. Experimental results show significant improvement over conventional methods.

  • This paper presents an approach to detect premature ventricular contractions(PVC) using the neural network with weighted fuzzy membership functions(NEWFM). NEWFM classifies normal and PVC beats by the trained weighted fuzzy membership functions using wavelet transformed coefficients extracted from the MIT-BIH PVC database. The two most important coefficients are selected by the non-overlap area distribution measurement method to minimize the classification rules that show PVC classification rate of 99.90%. By Presenting locations of the extracted two coefficients based on the R wave location, it is shown that PVC can be detected using only information of the two portions.

  • At NOW (Networks Of Workstations), the load sharing is very important role for improving the performance. The known load sharing strategy is fixed-granularity, variable-granularity and adaptive-granularity. The variable-granularity algorithm is sensitive to the various parameters. But Send algorithm, which implements the fixed-granularity strategy, is robust to task granularity. And the performance difference between Send and variable-granularity algorithm is not substantial. But, in Send algorithm, the computing time and the communication time are not overlapped. Therefore, long latency time at the network has influence on the execution time of the parallel program. In this paper, we propose the preSend algorithm. In the preSend algorithm, the master node can send the data to the slave nodes in advance without the waiting for partial results from the slaves. As the master node sent the next data to the slaves in advance, the slave nodes can process the data without the idle time. As stated above, the preSend algorithm can overlap the computing time and the communication time. Therefore we reduce the influence of the long latency time at the network and the execution time of the parallel program on the NOW. To compare the execution time of two algorithms, we use the $320{\times}320$ matrix multiplication. The comparison results of execution times show that the preSend algorithm has the shorter execution time than the Send algorithm.

  • This paper presents an approach to detect premature ventricular contractions(PVC) using the neural network with weighted fuzzy membership functions(NEWFM), NEWFM classifies normal and PVC beats by the trained weighted fuzzy membership functions using wavelet transformed coefficients extracted from the MIT-BIH PVC database. The eight most important coefficients of d3 and d4 are selected by the non-overlap area distribution measurement method. The selected 8 coefficients are used for 3 data sets showing reliable accuracy rates 99,80%, 99,21%, and 98.78%, respectively, which means the selected input features are less dependent to the data sets. The ECG signal segments and fuzzy membership functions of the 8 coefficients enable input features to interpret explicitly.

  • One major and time-consuming task in fish production is obtaining an accurate estimate of the number of fish produced. In most Nigerian farms, fish counting is performed manually. Digital image processing (DIP) is an inexpensive solution, but its accuracy is affected by noise, overlapping fish, and interfering objects. This study developed a catfish recognition and counting algorithm that introduces detection before counting and consists of six steps: image acquisition, pre-processing, segmentation, feature extraction, recognition, and counting. Images were acquired and pre-processed. The segmentation was performed by applying three methods: image binarization using Otsu thresholding, morphological operations using fill hole, dilation, and opening operations, and boundary segmentation using edge detection. The boundary features were extracted using a chain code algorithm and Fourier descriptors (CH-FD), which were used to train an artificial neural network (ANN) to perform the recognition. The new counting approach, based on the geometry of the fish, was applied to determine the number of fish and was found to be suitable for counting fish of any size and handling overlap. The accuracies of the segmentation algorithm, boundary pixel and Fourier descriptors (BD-FD), and the proposed CH-FD method were 90.34%, 96.6%, and 100% respectively. The proposed counting algorithm demonstrated 100% accuracy.

  • The article discusses the dead reckoning of the traveled path based on the analysis of the video data stream coming from the optoelectronic surveillance devices; the use of relief data makes it possible to partially compensate for the shortcomings of the first method. Using the overlap of the photo-video data stream, the terrain is restored. Comparison with a digital terrain model allows the location of the aircraft to be determined; the use of digital images of the terrain also allows you to determine the coordinates of the location and orientation by comparing the current view information. This method provides high accuracy in determining the absolute coordinates even in the absence of relief. It also allows you to find the absolute position of the camera, even when its approximate coordinates are not known at all.

  • This study aims to identify the academic landscape of the field of Library and Information Science by analyzing the research areas of the four major domestic journals using structural topic modeling and network analysis. The results show that each journal focuses on different research areas. The Journal of the Korean Society for Library and Information Science covers the most comprehensive range of research areas in the field, while the Journal of the Korean Biblia Society for Library and Information Science shows a similar research trend but with a higher preference for research areas related to library management and library programs. The Journal of Korean Library and Information Science Society deals more with topics related to school libraries and reading education and the Journal of the Korean Society for Information Management focuses more on information technology and information science. This study is able to provide valuable foundational data for researchers in submitting their papers and for the topical specialization and diversification of the journals in the field of Library and Information Science.

  • This study presents the eigen ethnic function and mathematical processing method of human information. Human information can be definded as the overlap area taking the superposition property composed of intuition and sensory in stimulus/response (S/R) model, In S/R model, the intuition and sensory eigen ethnic function acts on the forming of perception. Perception process by the superposition property of intuition and sensory analogy to the basic neural network model. This analogy model extends to the analysis method. As an analysis method, optimal ratio number induced to the golden section ratio. Golden section ratio drived out by diverse source and implicated to the sensory and intuitive context such as beauty, harmony, optimality etc. This numerical orders can be applied to analysing the Perception process and extended to pursue the Potential human behavior, On the basic of proposed applying method, an illustrative mathematical examples are presented.

  • A Pipelined Tone Wakeup(PTW) scheme(1) was proposed to support energy saving and end-to-end delay for sensor networks by providing an asynchronous wakeup pipeline to overlap the wakeup procedures with the packet transmission. But the scheme uses two radios and assumes error-free environments. In this paper, we propose a modified PTW scheme for wireless sensor networks. The proposed scheme is based on the PTW. The difference is that next hop information will be included in the ack packet from receiver node to sender node, So all the other neighbor nodes can stay in sleep mode long enough to save energy. Also ore get enhanced delay performance.

  • In this paper, we find a robot's path using a Virtual Reality Modeling Language and overlay vision. For correct robot's path we describe a method for localizing a mobile robot in its working environment using a vision system and VRML. The robt identifies landmarks in the environment, using image processing and neural network pattern matching techniques, and then its performs self-positioning with a vision system based on a well-known localization algorithm. After the self-positioning procedure, the 2-D scene of the vision is overlaid with the VRML scene. This paper describes how to realize the self-positioning, and shows the overlap between the 2-D and VRML scenes. The method successfully defines a robot's path.
