Logistics network management has become one of the most important sources of competitive advantage regarding logistics cost and customer service in numerous business segments. Logistics network simulation is a powerful analysis method for designing and planning the logistics network optimally in an integrated way. This paper introduces a logistics network simulator, LONSIM, developed by author. LONSIM deploys a mix of simulation and optimization functions to model and analysis logistics network issues such as facility location, inventory policy, manufacturing policy, transportation mode, warehouse assignment, supplier assignment, order processing priority rule, and vehicle routes. LONSIM is built with AweSim 2.1 and Visual Basic 6.0, and executed in windows environment.
This paper presents a stability analysis of network systems with time delay. Time delay problem frequently occurs in network systems. Since it makes network systems unstable and unpredictable, an optimal controller is necessary to network systems. We prove the asymptotical stability of time delayed network systems using LMI optimization method and appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals. Simulations show the effectiveness of the method.
Objectives: The nurse visiting health service named Customized Visiting Health Care Program(CVHCP) requires the service innovations incorporating community support into a local service network. The purpose of this study was to assess the community network in CVHCP and inform improvement in this network. Methods: We used Social Network Analysis(SNA) in one CVHCP at H city. Network links were generated by self-administered questionnaires by the 14 community resource centers who quantified their links to all other 25 agents on the list. Links were analyzed by a dichotomous scale for any experience of collaboration and a scored scale of 0 to 3 for level of collaboration using UCINET v6. Results: A list of 14 agents was generated, and local network was dominated by the Public Health Center and a local welfare center named Unlimited Care Center(UCC). According to centrality score, UCC was the most prominent agent, and Public Health Center was the most influential agent, being a link in the pathway flow between other agents for 9.5% of contribution. CVHCP scored lower rank of prominent with 30.8% of other agents reported referring to it. Conclusions: Social network analysis provides a useful network description for informing and evaluation service network improvement in maximizing its service for the CVHCP.
This study aims to analyze STEAM-related articles and to look into the trend of research to present implications for research directions in the future. To achieve the research purpose, the researcher searched by key words, 'STEAM' and 'Convergence Education' through the RISS. Subjects of analysis were titles of 181 articles in journal articles and conference papers published from 2011 through 2013. Through an analysis of the frequency of the texts that appeared in the titles of the papers, key words were selected, the co-occurrence matrix of the key words was established, and using network maps, degree centrality and betweenness centrality, and structural equivalence, a network text analysis was carried out. For the analysis, KrKwic, KrTitle, UCINET and NetMiner Program were used, and the results were as follows: in the result of the text frequency analysis, the key words appeared in order of 'program', 'development', 'base' and 'application'. Through the network among the texts, a network built up with core hubs such as 'program', 'development', 'elementary' and 'application' was found, and in the degree centrality analysis, 'program', 'elementary', 'development' and 'science' comprised key issues at a relatively high value, which constituted the pivot of the network. As a result of the structural equivalence analysis, regarding the types of their respective relations, it was analyzed that there was a similarity in four clusters such as the development of a program (1), analysis of effects (2) and the establishment of a theoretical base (1).
In this study, the optimal analysis for pipe network is performed for the combined ideal pipe network system(CASE 1, CASE 2 and CASE 3) which is composed of 25 nodes, 41 elements, and 1 fixed nodal head with evaluating pressure variation distribution of main and branch in grid composed drainage pipe network. The linear analysis technique used as the analysis method in this study, the KYPIPE being used extensively as the linear technique to design and analysis of pipe network is applied. Firstly, in the analysis of pipe network, the CASE 2 and CASE 3 supply same thing(value) in the result of considering the total flow provided each pipeline, but in the general intension in the case of CASE 2, relative width of supply is more large than CASE 1 and CASE 3. Secondly, in the analysis technique of pipe network, CASE 3 is analysed largest as a result of comparing with same heads, and in the order of their size CASE 2 and CASE 1 were determined but the difference doesn't appear to be obvious. Thirdly, as the result of determining main factor, pressure in the design and analysis of net work. CASE 3 is from Node 3 to 25 than CASE 1 and CASE 2 and it is determined in the order of their size, CASE 2 and CASE 1. Finally, in this study, discharge flow distribution is evaluated in the same condition with 3-type CASE in the case of branch position for designing optimal composed drainage pipe network. As the result of that, branch pipe perform. Therefore, it is thought that the efficient and reasonable management of water supply and sewerage design will be possible if it give all our energies to study at the pipe system design in and out of country in the future.
To remove software defects and improve performance of software, many developers perform code inspections and use static analysis tools. A code inspection is an activity that is performed manually to detect software defects in the developed source. However, there is no clear criterion which source codes are inspected. A static analysis tool can automatically detect software defects by analyzing the source codes without running the source codes. However, it has disadvantage that analyzes only the codes in the functions without analyzing the relations among source functions. The functions in the source codes are interconnected and formed a social network. Functions that occupy critical locations in a network can be important enough to affect the overall quality. Whereas, a static analysis tool merely suggests which functions were called several times. In this study, the core functions will be elicited by using social network analysis and DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) for CUBRID open database sources. In addition, we will suggest clear criteria for selecting the target sources for code inspection and will suggest ways to find core functions to minimize defects and improve performance.
In this paper, we deal with a new techno-economic modeling and analysis for optical access networks. In deploying the fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) architecture, network planner needs to consider the following techno-economic issues: when do we need to upgrade existing local access network to FTTH network? how much do we invest to maximize profit? In order to answer these techno-economic questions, we need to consider the impact of emerging technologies and business environment. Toward this end, we develop a new techno-economic modeling to deal with the inherent complexity of technology evolution and cost economics. In particular, the new modeling approach provides us with an techno-economic analysis of technology alternatives such as ethernet passive optical network (E-PON) and wavelength division multiplex passive optical network (WDM-PON). In this analysis, we focus on the impact of critical factors such as the cost characteristic of proposed architecture and digital subscriber line (DSL) subscriber's churn-in to FTTH service and churn-out. We develop mixed integer-programming models for finding the evolution path of local access networks to broadband network architectures.
Objectives: This study aims to describe the utilization of herbal formulas from Wenrejingwei by using network analysis and understand the treatment of acute exogenous febrile diseases. Methods: We constructed a matrix of high-frequency herbal combinations (HCs) from Wenrejingwei and Shang Han Lun and cluster networks based on cohesive analysis. Network analysis was performed to compare the results. Results: The results of the high-frequency HC network in Wenrejingwei showed cohesive patterns in three categories corresponding to dampness-heat and warm-fever treatment. Compared to the Shang Han Lun network, the Wenrejingwei network indicated a careful approach in the use of pungent and warm herbs such as Guizhitang. Moreover, the combination of Scutellaria baicalensis and Coptis chinensis along with the use of herbs strengthening yin, such as Ginseng Radix and Liriopes Radix, provide evidence of a holistic approach in the treatment of exogenous febrile diseases by considering the balance of the human body damaged by heat. Conclusion: The results of this study could help select appropriate herbal formulas and treatment methods for treating Onbyeong and modern acute febrile infectious diseases.
A prediction method for determining the welding residual stress by artificial neural network is proposed. A three-dimensional transient thermo-mechanical analysis has been performed for the $CO_2$ arc welding using the finite element method. The first part of numerical analysis performs a three-dimensional transient heat transfer analysis, and the second part then uses the results of the first part and performs a three-dimensional transient thermo-elastic-plastic analysis to compute transient and residual stresses in the weld. Data from the finite element method are used to train a back propagation neural network to predict the residual stress. Architecturally, the fully interconnected network consists of an input layer for the voltage and current, a hidden layer to accommodate the failure mechanism mapping, and an output layer for the residual stress. The trained network is then applied to the prediction of residual stress in the four specimens. It is concluded that the accuracy of the neural network predicting method is fully comparable with the accuracy achieved by the traditional predicting method.
Purpose The purpose of this study is to improve the efficiency of the activities of loosely connected network organization through the platform(Ba) of knowledge sharing. Loosely connected network organizations have been tried to promote new work and complement the scarce resources through collaborations. NPO(Non-Profit Organization) is essential to establish cooperation networks in order to achieve the public interest on the basis of scarce resources. This study interpreted the Ba on the 'Change-On' program and analyzed the social networks of regional organizations through the activation of the Ba. The 'Change-On' program is conducted for several years to promote the efficiency of the NPO network by Daum Generation Foundation. Design/methodology/approach This study made a design to organize the Ba concept of Nonaka & Konno and presented a case of the Ba activated based on the NPO network of regional order. According to the social network analysis of regional cooperation within the network of participating organizations was extended, it was found that the principal plays a significant role as a central hub made. Findings According to the empirical analysis, this study illustrated that various types of network were formed among NPOs based on the 'Change-On'. Furthermore, the networks surrounding NPOs are extended to the other people connected to them. This means that the network of NPOs had been diversified via the facilitation of the Ba. This study throws new highlights on the new role for the Ba as a network promoter in addition to the partner as a technology-provider in the NPO ecosystem. Moreover, the network analysis between before-and-after can be used for the evaluation of the effectiveness of the various Ba programs.
