  • To provide network reliability in indoor wireless communication systems, we should resolve the problem of unexpected network failure rapidly. In this paper, we propose an adaptive resource management (ARM) scheme to support seamless connectivity to users. In consideration of system throughput and user fairness simultaneously, the ARM scheme adaptively determines the set of healing channels, and performs scheduling and power allocation iteratively based on a constrained non-convex optimization technique. Through intensive simulations, we demonstrate the superior performance results of the proposed ARM scheme in terms of the average cell capacity and user fairness.

  • As internet expands, the possibility of attack through the network is increasing. So we need the technology which can detect the attack to the system or the network spontaneously. The purpose of this paper proposes the system to detect intrusion automatically using the Adaptive Resonance Theory2(ART2) which is one of artificial neural network The parameters of the system was tunned by ART2 algorithm using a lot of normal packets and various attack packets which were intentionally generated by attack tools. The results were compared and analyzed with conventional methods.

  • This paper describes the self-adaptive Content Service Network (CSN) on Application Level Active Network (ALAN). Web caching technology comprises Content Delivery Network (CDN) for content distribution as well as Content Service Network (CSN) for service distribution. The IETF working group on Open Pluggalble Edge Service (OPES) is the works closely related to CSN. But it can be expected that the self-adaptation in ubiquitous computing environment will be deployed. The existing content service on CSN lacks in considering self-adaptation. This results in inability of existing network to support the additional services. Therefore, in order to address the limitations of the existing networks, this paper suggests Self-adaptive Content Service Network (CSN) using the GME and the extended ALAN to insert intelligence into the existing network.

  • In adaptive neuro-control, neural networks are used to approximate unknown plant nonlinearities. Until now, most of the studies in the field of controller design for nonlinear system using neural network considers the affine system with fixed number of neurons. This paper considers nonaffine nonlinear systems and on-line variation of the number of neurons. A control law and adaptive laws for neural network weights are established so that the whole system is stable in the sense of Lyapunov. In addition, at the expense of th input, tracking error converges to the arbitrary small neighborhood of the origin. The efficiency of the proposed scheme is shown through simulations ofa simple nonaffine nonlinear system.

  • In this paper, an efficient Adaptive quality-of-service (QoS) traffic control scheme with priority scheduling is proposed for the multimedia traffic transmission over wireless access networks. The objective of the proposed adaptive QoS control (AQC) scheme is to realize end-to-end QoS, to be scalable without the excess signaling process, and to adapt dynamically to the network traffic state according to traffic flow characteristics. Here, the reservation scheme can be used over the wireless access network in order to get the per-flow guarantees necessary for implementation of some kinds of multimedia applications. The AQC model is based on both differentiated service model with different lier hop behaviors and priority scheduling one. It consists of several various routers, access points, and bandwidth broker and adopts the IEEE 802.1 le wireless radio technique for wireless access interface. The AQC scheme includes queue management and packet scheduler to transmit class-based packets with different per hop behaviors (PHBs). Simulation results demonstrate effectiveness of the proposed AQC scheme.

  • This Paper describes a nonlinear adaptive noise filter using neural network for digital controller system. Back-Propagation Learning Algorithm based MLP (Multi Layer Perceptron)is used an adaptive filters. In this paper. it assume that the noise of primary input in the adaptive noise canceller is not the same characteristic as that of the reference input. Experimental reaults show that the neural network base noise canceller outperforms the linear noise canceller. Especially to make noise cancel close to realtime, Primary input is divided by unit and each divided part is processed for very short time than all the processed data are unified to whole data.

  • Wireless mobile multimedia communications have been greatly increased in the number of users, diversity of applications and interface technologies. Wireless mobile networks are being evolved and integrated into IP based core network, so it is necessary to provide sufficient QoS (Quality of Service) mechanism to provide enhanced user's satisfaction. In this paper, we propose a new adaptive QoS mechanism based on utility function borrowed from the field of microeconomics, call setup and handover signaling mechanism integrating QoS and mobility management. Through a simulation, we show that adaptive resource allocation based on user preferences can be realized in the wireless mobile network with some considerations.

  • The video transmission for real-time viewing over the Internet is a core operation for the multimedia services. However, its realization is very difficult because the Internet has two major problems, namely, very narrow endpoint-bandwidth and the network jitter. We already proposed a scalable video transmission method in [8] which used MPEG-4 video VM(Verification Model) 2.0[3] for very low bit rate coding and an adaptive temporal rate control of video objects to overcome the network jitter problem. In this paper, we present the improved adaptive temporal rate control scheme for the scalable transmission. Experimental results for three test video sequences show that the adaptive temporal rate control can transfer the video bitstream at source frame rate under variable network condition.

  • This paper presents a design method of the wavelet neural network(WNN) controller based on a direct adaptive control scheme for the intelligent control of chaotic systems. The conventional control methods such as optimal control, adaptive control and robust control may not be feasible when an explicit, faithful mathematical model cannot be constructed. Therefore, an intelligent control system that is an on-line trained WNN controller based on a direct adaptive control method is proposed to control chaotic systems whose mathematical models are not available. The gradient-descent method is used for training a wavelet neural network controller. Finally, the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed control method is demonstrated with applications to the chaotic system.

  • In this paper, adaptive high-order neural network controller(AHONNC) is adopted to control of an induction servomotor. A algorithm is developed by combining compensation control and high-order neural networks. Moreover, an adaptive bound estimation algorithm was proposed to estimate the bound of approximation error. The weight of the high-order neural network can be online tuned in the sense of the Lyapunov stability theorem; thus, the stability of the closed-loop system can be guaranteed. Simulation results for induction servomotor drive system are shown to confirm the validity of the proposed controller.
