This study investigates the application of data mining techniques such as artificial neural networks, rough sets, and induction teaming to the intrusion detection systems. To maximize the effectiveness of data mining for intrusion detection systems, we introduced the asymmetric costs with false positive errors and false negative errors. And we present a method for intrusion detection systems to utilize the asymmetric costs of errors in data mining. The results of our empirical experiment show our intrusion detection model provides high accuracy in intrusion detection. In addition the approach using the asymmetric costs of errors in rough sets and neural networks is effective according to the change of threshold value. We found the threshold has most important role of intrusion detection model for decreasing the costs, which result from false negative errors.

The study is to clarify the relationship among the positive and negative recognition of stress and physical and psychological abuse and neglect aiming at getting the material. They are to prevent elder abuse at the main care worker for frail and dementia elderly. The degree of fitness to the data where positive and negative recognition of main care worker was located as dependent variable. The casual model in which main care worker was located as independent variable. The degree of fitness of casual model was GFI=0.772, CFI=0.795, RESEA=0.067. Among path coefficient included in the previous model, three of figures going toward three of abuse to the elder were statistically significant.

This paper describes a full-wave rectifiers for energy harvesting circuit using a vibrational energy. The designed circuit is applied to the negative voltage converter with the body-bias technique using the Beta-multiplier so that the power efficiency is excellent even at the low voltage, and the comparator is designed as the bulk-driven type. The proposed circuit is designed with $0.35{\mu}m$ CMOS process, and The designed chip occupies $931{\mu}m{\times}785{\mu}m$.

The purpose of this paper is to survey existing literature and empirical studies about the effect of unions on productivity and productivity growth in US and British. Evidence regarding union effects on productivity is incomplete in the studies surveyed in this paper. Unions have a positive effect on productivity in US, but the most of studies in British show that unions have a negative effect. But the direction and magnitude of union effects on productivity growth cannot be predicted from economic theory. It may be that there is no unitary relationship between unions and productivity growth. The comprehensive conclusion about the effects of unions on productivity growth cannot be drawn from the studies surveyed in this paper. The question of whether unions have a positive effect or negative effect on productivity and productivity growth is an empirical issue.

In this paper, control algorithm for torque ripple compensation in DFIG wind power generation system is proposed. A simple PI controller is designed for the negative sequence voltage cancellation using negative sequence currents in the grid-side converter. As a result, the stator voltage contains only the positive sequence components and the torque pulsation of the generator is effectively compensated. Propose algorithm is confirmed with PSCAD simulation model.

The purpose of the present study was to test the impact of depression on mobile phone dependency among elementary school students, to test the mediating effect of self-esteem between depression and mobile phone dependency, and to draw out theoretical and practical implications in terms of preventing or reducing mobile phone dependency. Based on previous studies, a longitudinal research model between the aforementioned three variables has been identified. The present study analyzed the 4th, 5th, and 6th wave data from Korea Children and Youth Panel Study 2010 (KCYPS 2010). The major results were as follows. First, depression could have a significant negative effect on self-esteem. Second, self-esteem could have a significant negative effect on mobile phone dependency. Third, the influence of depression on mobile phone dependency was not significant. Fourth, gender could be a significant moderating variable between depression and self-esteem. Finally, a number of implications of these findings were also discussed.

While the Internet continues to integrate with modern lives, the risks of negative outcomes resulting from problematic use (PU) are also increasing. Although psychological well-being and use motivations have been shown to play major roles in Internet PU, understanding the moderating mechanism is critical for advanced knowledge. The present study employed survey data from users of a live video-game streaming service (LVGS) that is an area rarely been studied. Result concluded a positive moderating effect of escapism motive (EM) on the association between loneliness and the PU of LVGS, while the moderating mechanism between EM and stress was not indicated. A moderating effect of information seeking (IS) on the relationship between stress and the PU of LVGS was found negative, but no mechanism between IS and loneliness was indicated. This study highlights how the interplay of different motivation and pathologies may induce or prevent video-game-related addiction.

Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of broadband access, education level, population numbers, and investment on the unemployment rate in Indonesia. Research design, data, and methodology: This study uses panel data from 34 provinces from 2016 to 2019. The analysis uses the fixed-effect model for panel data with the Feasible Generalized Least Square (FGLS) estimation method. Results: Broadband access has a negative and significant effect on the unemployment rate. Mean years of school, population, and foreign direct investment also have a negative and significant impact on the unemployment rate. In contrast, the domestic direct investment variable has a positive and significant effect. Conclusion: The availability of broadband access in an area allows easier and faster access to information. The ease of access to such information can affect producing goods and services, encouraging innovation and employment growth, and reducing the unemployment rate. This research recommends that the government intensify the Indonesia Broadband Plan policy to accelerate the development and equitable distribution of broadband access in all regions of Indonesia.

In Saudi Arabia, female students tend to struggle with the basics of computer programming, especially coding. To better understand why female students sometimes perform poorly in this discipline, this qualitative study aims to obtain the views of female computer programming teachers at a Saudi university on using mobile learning (m-learning) methods in computer programming lectures. Ten teachers from the all-female Aljouf University were interviewed to assess their perceptions of m-learning, in particular, the usefulness of ViLLE visualisation software. Data were analysed using thematic analysis. Most interview responses about m-learning and ViLLE were positive, although there were some notable negative responses. The Saudi culture-related responses were evenly divided between positive and negative, reflecting the culture's limitations.

This study examines undergraduate nursing students' user satisfaction and affective experience of collaborative information behavior in a group-based learning through survey method to see the relationship between these factors. For this purpose, the affective experiences (positive and negative aspects) of collaborative information search were examined using the PANAS scale through the same questionnaire. Correlation between students' experiences of collaborative information search and affective aspects were examined, and statistical significance using the t-test were also conducted to measure the relationship among students' demographic factors, experiences of collaborative information search and affective aspects. The results revealed that there was a significant correlation between experiences of collaborative information search and affective aspects. Also, there were significant relationships among students' demographic factors, experiences of collaborative information search and affective aspects. In particular, there were signigicant differences in students' overall satisfaction of collaboration and positive aspects between male and female students who experienced collaborative information search. This study found out the possibilities for a follow-up study for affective aspects in collaborative information behavior.
