An exploratory study on Pre-service teachers' perceptions of instructional media (예비 교사의 교수매체 인식에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • This study explored the overall perception of teaching media from the perspective of pre-service teachers. For this purpose, reflection journals written by 138 pre-service teachers were analyzed, and positive and negative perceptions of teaching media were explored. In the reflection diary, pre-service teachers were asked to write down examples of appropriate use of instructional media and the effects of their experiences, cases of inappropriate use of instructional media, and areas requiring improvement. The main research results are as follows. First, the positive aspects of teaching media perceived by prospective teachers were that it presented examples that could help understanding, aroused curiosity to focus attention, and encouraged participation to motivate learning. Second, the negative aspects of teaching media perceived by prospective teachers include cases where the playback time of the video containing learning content is excessively long and the content of the video is unclear or is higher than the learner's level and difficult to understand. This study is significant in that it presents pre-service teachers experiences and perceptions of teaching media and their desirable use methods.

  • This paper shows a SDRAM opeating in 200MHz clock cycle which it use data interleave and pipelining for high speed operation. We proposed NdC (Negative DEaly circuit) to improve clock to access time(tAC) characteristics, also we proposed low power WL(wordline)driver circit and high efficiency VPP charge-pump circit. Our all circuits has been fabricated using 0.4um CMOS process, and the measured maximum speed is 200Mbytes/s in LvTTL interface.

  • A modifiedPosner cue-target paradigm in which neutral, positive and negative (threat) words were presented in peripheral location for cue was used to investigate the difference of engagement component of attention across emotional valence and anxiety level of participants. Results showed an interaction effect between anxiety level of participants and emotional valence of cue in valid trial. This indicates that the engage component of attention is not encapsulated and influenced by anxiety level of participant.

  • A new analog synchronous mirror delay to be used in the wide-bandwidth clocking circuits is proposed to overcome the frequency dependency of the negative-delay values in the conventional analog synchronous mirror delay. The scheme adopts a new dummy-delay compensation technique by adopting the comparator with inherent systematic offset to achieve the enhanced negative-delay range especially prominent at high frequency applications.

  • The work realized by the authors of [4], [5] and [6] associates a non-negative matrix with positive integers entries to each dissection of a polygon. In the particular case of triangulations, these matrices called ℬ𝒞𝒥-matrices here contain valuable information of their frieze patterns, a concept introduced by Coxeter and Conway. This paper is concerned with the algebraic manipulation and properties of these matrices which are derived from operations acting on dissections.

The Independent Impacts of Positive and Negative Attributes of Disconfirmation on Satisfaction and Loyalty of University Students (기대불일치의 긍정적 속성과 부정적 속성이 대학생의 만족도와 충성도에 미치는 차별적 영향)

  • This study purported to test the independent impacts of positive and negative attributes of disconfirmation on satisfaction and loyalty of university students. The study utilized the nation-wide survey data previously collected from 1,400 students distributed across 32 universities in Korea. Using SPSS 22.0, the study adopted a 'Simple Regression Analysis' in order to calculate the causal coefficients among positive and negative attributes of confirmation, satisfaction, and loyalty. The study results showed that while positive disconfirmation had a positive impact(${\beta}=.188$) on satisfaction, but not on loyalty, negative disconfirmation had negative impacts on satisfaction(${\beta}=-.326$) and loyalty(${\beta}=-.105$). Based on the study results this study suggests that universities should implement differential strategies to increase students' satisfaction and loyalty. The results also showed that negative disconfirmation had 2~7 times greater impacts on satisfaction and loyalty than the impacts positive confirmation had. Supporting the 'asymmetric relations' of positive and negative disconfirmation, the study suggests that universities should pay special attention to students' complaints.

The Effect on Korean Consumers' Brand Preference, Trust and Purchase Intention for Donation Amount Information of Luxury Fashion Brands

  • This study attempts to explain the unique patterns in Korean consumer behavior regarding the luxury fashion brands' donation activities by exploring the moderating effects of corporate ability (CA) and subjective norm (SN) on the relationship between donations and consumers' brand preference, brand trust, and purchase intention. A total of 209 completed questionnaires, collected from online surveys, were analyzed using moderated multiple regression. The result shows that donation amount information positively influences consumers' brand preference, brand trust and purchase intention toward luxury fashion brands. Next, CA strengthens the relationships between donation amount information and consumers' brand trust and purchase intention. SN from the opposite gender compensates for the negative effect of negative donation amount information on consumers' trust toward luxury fashion brands, whereas SN from the same gender does not influence those relationships. This study provides a deeper understanding of luxury fashion brands' donations and consumer responses in South Korea-one of the important test markets for luxury fashion brands to expand their business to Asian countries.

  • Purpose: Research on the behavior of using digital banking services plays an important role for banks in the context of increasingly competitive banks, not only for domestic banks but also for foreign banks. Along with the development of science and technology brings new approaches to banking industry, digital banking increases the effectiveness of banking activities. Besides, information safety brings different feeling about digital banking system. Therefore, this research evaluates the relationship between Information safety and Intention to use banking services in Vietnam. Research design, data and methodology: With 329 Vietnamese customers using digital banking, reliability test, and structural equation model (SEM) analysis method. Results: the research shows that information safety has directly effects on perceived ease of use (PU), perceived risk (RIS) of customers to digital banking services. Perceived trust (TRU) has a negative impact on RIS. Perceived of usefulness (PEU) has a positive impact on attitude towards service (ATT), and RIS has a negative impact on ATT. RIS, PEU, ATT, convenience and enterprise image have positive effects on intention to use digital banking service. Conclusions: From the research results, the authors also propose some recommendations to enhance the intention to use digital banking services in Vietnam.

Adaptive Binary Negative-Exponential Backoff Algorithm Based on Contention Window Optimization in IEEE 802.11 WLAN

  • IEEE 802.11 medium access control (MAC) employs the distributed coordination function (DCF) as the fundamental medium access function. DCF operates with binary exponential backoff (BEB) in order to avoid frame collisions. However it may waste wireless resources because collisions occur when multiple stations are contending for frame transmissions. In order to solve this problem, a binary negative-exponential backoff (BNEB) algorithm has been proposed that uses the maximum contention window size whenever a collision occurs. However, when the number of contending stations is small, the performance of BNEB is degraded due to the unnecessarily long backoff time. In this paper, we propose the adaptive BNEB (A-BNEB) algorithm to maximize the throughput regardless of the number of contending stations. A-BNEB estimates the number of contending stations and uses this value to adjust the maximum contention window size. Simulation results show that A-BNEB significantly improves the performance of IEEE 802.11 DCF and can maintain a high throughput irrespective of the number of contending stations.

A Research on the Bandwidth Extension of an Analog Feedback Amplifier by Using a Negative Group Delay Circuit (마이너스 군지연 회로를 이용한 아날로그 피드백 증폭기의 대역폭 확장에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we propose an alternative method to increase the distortion cancellation bandwidth of an analog RF feedback power amplifier by using a negative group delay circuit(NGDC). A limited distortion cancellation bandwidth due to the group delay(GD) mismatch discouraged the use of feedback technique in spite of its powerful linearization performance. With the fabricated NGDC with positive phase slope over frequency, the feedback amplifier of the proposed topology experimentally achieved adjacent channel leakage ratio(ACLR) improvement of 15 dB over 50 MHz bandwidth at wideband code division multiple access(WCDMA) downlink band when tested with 2-carrier WCDMA signal. At an average output power of 28 dBm, ACLR of 25.1 dB is improved to obtain -53.2 dBc at 5 MHz offset.
