  • The ideal housing in the 21st century means that it can provide people with the balanced life between nature and human life, while is possible through the systematic harmony of nature, environment, and human. As our society increasingly pays attention to the importance of environment, environment friendly houses and ecological dwellings are being built. If we add our own cultural environment attribute and historical identity to the ecological housing, we can create the most unique Korean ecological architecture. This study examines ecological interior expression methods from the traditional housing architecture which started out of nature, in order to find out an ecological approach in the interior design of the dwelling space. Based upon this examination, it mainly focuses on how these methods can be applied to a modern housing architecture. From an ecological perspective, the traditional house interior has two distinct characteristics; nature friendly and human friendly, because it considered nature and human harmoniously. The interior of the traditional housing can be divided into three types; nature friendly, health friendly, and human friendly. Finally, this study investigates the ecological value of the three types and application of them to modern housing. It will help to find out the harmonious way of building a house harmonizing both nature and human. Especially, considering that the nature is being destructed and the health of human is deteriorating due to the destruction of the nature, this study will show a feasible alternative to build the most Korean style of environmental architecture.

Ten individuals who were engaging in the adventure sports of scuba diving and paragliding were selected for the study, and the gathered data were analyzed based on the "surjection", "unit", "sign", and "subject" factors. The results of the analysis show that most of the adventure sports participants who were the subjects of the study believe that an eco-friendly environment helps protect and preserve nature, which is the basis of human life that adventure sports flourish in a natural environment that nature sustains adventure sports and that dealing carelessly with nature, or concentrating on the exploitation of nature for development purposes a real danger to its preservation. It was established in the study that keen adventure sports participants, or those who have a passion for and a thriving career in adventure sports, can do much to address environmental problems. The results of the study demonstrate that the link between sports and nature will promote a keen interest in and love for nature among sports enthusiasts as well as an awareness of the need to protect and preserve it, which will in turn lead them to develop a desire to do such. • Architectural design for school can be completed well when the environment-friendly elements are satisfied. In other words, the environment-freindly element could be most important idea for school planning, and one should have this direction for each element as a design goal. In this study, I defined the "environment-friendly" as the environment for nature and human. I examined what could satisfy those and would be its principles. I set up the criteria to satisfy each priciple. Most important factor to keep the relation between nature and human would be reducing carbon dioxide emissions, and a green belt would absorb it. Therefore, I think that there would be effective possibility when suitable conditions are applied in phases. Every school can have comfort as environment-friendly facility, at the same time, contribute to nature. Also, students can learn and study nature, and perform a duty as human.

  • This study analyzed the impact of securing nature-friendly public spaces on the healthy growth of children. Additionally, it examined the case of Germany to extract implications for Korea. The natural environment enhances children's play, physical activity, cognitive abilities, and overall happiness. Therefore, it is generally considered a necessary space that must be provided for domestically, especially for children who experience high academic stress and low levels of happiness. However, as evidenced by Germany's "Nature Experience Area Project," creating nature-friendly spaces for children requires legal support at the national level. Additionally, such projects should be integrated with key national policies. Furthermore, beyond interdisciplinary collaboration, caregivers must have a positive perception of the natural environment.
