Development of Natural Dishwashing Liquid containing the Curcuma Longa L., Morus alba and Ecklonia cava extracts (강황, 상백피 및 감태 추출 혼합물을 첨가한 천연 주방세제 개발)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the quality characteristics of the natural dishwashing liquid added with the mixture extracts of Curcuma Longa L. (CL), Morus alba (MA) and Ecklonia cava (EC) at various concentrations. The pH and lightness of the natural dishwashing liquid were reduced by adding the mixture extracts, while the turbidity was increased. The natural dish washing liquid added with mixture extracts was shown to display strong antimicrobial activities against L. monocytogenes compared to that of control. Also, it revealed that antioxidant activity was increased depending on concentrations. However, natural dishwashing liquid added with mixture extracts showed the low detergency efficiency. In sensory evaluation, the natural dishwashing liquid containing CL 0.5%, MA 0.25% and EC 0.25% was preferred than the control and it showed negative result in skin patch test. These results suggest that the addition of CL 0.5%, MA 0.25% and EC 0.25% positively improved the qualities characteristics in the natural dish washing liquid.

  • Sixteen antioxidative active compounds isolated from the EtOAc layer of MeOH extracts of kochujang, Korean fermented red pepper paste, were structurally elucidated as fumaric acid, methyl succinate, succinic acid furan-2-yl ester methyl ester (gochujangate, a novel compound), 2-hydroxy-3-phenylpropanoic acid, 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid, 2,3-dihydroxybenzoic acid, 2,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid, 6,7-dihydroxy-2H-chromen-2-one (esculetin), caffeic acid, cis-p-coumaric acid, trans-p-coumaric acid, daidzin, genistin, apigenin 7-O-$\beta$-D-apiofuranosyl($1{\rightarrow}2$)-$\beta$-D-glucopyranoside, apigenin 7-O-$\beta$-Dglucopyranoside, and quercetin 3-O-$\alpha$-L-rhamnopyranoside by mass spectrometry (MS) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments. These compounds were analyzed for the first time as antioxidants from kochujang.

  • 사삼(沙蔘, Adenophorae Radix)은 "대한민국약전외한약(생약)규격집(KHP)"에 잔대 Adenophora triphylla var. japonica Hara 또는 사삼(당잔대, A. stricta Miq.)의 뿌리로 수재되어 있으나, 형태학적으로 유사한 제니(모시대, A. remotiflorus Miquel), 층층잔대(윤엽사삼, A. tetraphylla (Thunb.) Fisch), 더덕 Codonopsis lanceolata (Sieb. et Zucc.)과 오 혼용 우려가 있어 이들을 구별하기 위한 종 감별법이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 '사삼'과 오 혼용 우려가 있는 종들을 구별할 수 있는 유전자 마커 개발을 위하여 DNA 바코드로 활용되고 있는 유전자 부위를 분석하여 ITS (25%), atpB-rbcL (15%), atpF-atpH (14%), rpl16 (13%), trnL-F (10%), matK (9%), rpoC1 (7%)에서 변이율(percent of variable sites)을 확인하였다. 또한, 분석한 유전자 부위 중 종간 차이를 확인하기 용이한 matK 구간을 활용해 기원종인 잔대, 당잔대와 형태적으로 유사하여 오 혼용될 우려가 있는 층층잔대, 모시대 및 더덕을 감별 할 수 있는 유전자 마커를 개발하였다. 본 연구를 통해 얻어진 염기서열과 분자 마커는 '사삼'의 품질관리에 유용하게 활용 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

  • 제니(薺苨, Adenophorae Remotiflori Radix)는 "대한민국약전외한약(생약)규격집(KHP)"에 모시대(Adenophora remotiflorus Miquel)의 뿌리로 수재되어있으나, 형태학적으로 유사한 잔대(A. triphylla), 당잔대(A. stricta) 및 더덕(Codonopsis lanceolata)과 오 혼용 우려가 있어 이들을 구별하기 위한 정확하고 객관적인 종 감별법이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 '제니'의 기원인 모시대와 오 혼용 우려가 있는 종들을 구별 할 수 있는 유전자 마커를 개발하기 위하여 Genbank에 등록된 ycf2 구간을 활요하여 모시대와 잔대, 당잔대를 구분 할 수 있는 INDEL (insertion/deletion) 마커를 개발하였다. 또한, 보다 정확한 종감별을 위해 DNA 바코드로 활용되고 있는 유전자 부위의 염기서열을 분석하여 ITS (25%), atpB-rbcL (15%), atpF-atpH (14%), rpl16 (13%), trnL-F (10%), matK (9%), rpoC1 (7%)에서 변이율(percent of variable sites)을 확인하였다. 향후, 본 연구에서 개발된 INDEL 마커와 더불어 추가적으로 개발을 진행 중인 분자 마커는 한약재 '제니'의 품질관리에 활용 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

  • As a result of analyzing the domestic and foreign HACCP systems, advanced countries mandated HACCP system on all foods to strengthen food safety management and USA, EU and China do not apply small-scale HACCP system. Looking at the cases of food safety accidents in Korea and the non-compliance rate of HACCP certification evaluation by size, the accident rate of companies without HACCP certification was 31.2% higher than that of companies with HACCP certification. The nonconformity rate of food inspection standards was analyzed to be 89.0% higher than that of HACCP certification companies. Based on the international trend of food safety management and the frequency of food safety accidents, it is proposed to gradually expand the mandatory application of HACCP system in Korea to all foods, and to change the small-scale HACCP standard from less than 500 million Korean won or 21 employees to less than 500 million Korean won.

  • Gastritis is the most common disease among Korean. The demand for the development of gastritis drugs has been increasing. Currently, however, there is no guideline available for the clinical evaluation of gastritis drugs worldwide. As a consequence, domestic and international pharmaceutical companies make errors in the drug development processes, and it becomes difficult for them to establish the scientific validity and objectivity of newly developed drugs. The objective of this study was to develop the Guideline for Clinical Trials Evaluation of Gastritis which can be used in improving the quality and consistency of clinical trials. First, we collected and reviewed the clinical trials on gastritis drugs that were available from Japan Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency and Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA), and investigated the recent research trends on clinical trials of gastritis drugs. Reviewers from KFDA and National Institute of Food and Drug Safety Evaluation and scientific experts from the pharmaceutical industries developed the guidelines through regularly scheduled meetings. Opinions and consultation from academic fields and industry experts were also obtained. This project will provide the clinical trial practitioners, investigator and reviewers the scientific and rational guidelines for performance and evaluation of clinical trials for gastritis drugs. Furthermore, we hope this guideline contributes to establishing the national competitiveness, improving the quality of clinical trial, and encouraging researches on drug development for gastritis.
