Narrow-line Region of Type I QSOs

  • We investigate various physical parameters of the narrow-line region (NLR) of two type I QSOs, PG1012+008 and PG1307+085. Using the spectra obtained with the FORS1 at the VLT with an excellent seeing condition (<0.7"), we can extract spectra with varying distances from the center out to the galactic scales. From these spectra we derive physical quantities such as reddening, temperature, electron density, and ionization parameter as a function of distance from the center. We also explore the possibility of defining the size of the NLR with line ratio diagnostics regardless of starbursts, shock-ionized gas, or tidal tails.

The extended narrow-line region kinematics of 3 Type-2 QSOs revealed by the VLTVIMOS IFU spectra

  • We present kinematic properties of the narrow-line region in three type-2 QSOs at z~0.35, using 2-D spectra obtained with the VIMOS integral field unit spectrograph at the Very Large Telescope. One of the objects shows a line-of-sight velocity shift of the [OIII] and $H{\beta}$ lines up to 40km/s on a 15 kpc scale, which can be interpreted as either outflow or rotation. The outflow scenario is supported by the presence of blue wings and a radio structure showing lobes in the same direction. Another object features double-peaked emission lines which can be decomposed into two velocity components. Its Hubble Space Telescope image shows two nuclei separated by ~0.2"(~1kpc), implying this may be a binary AGN.

  • 본 논문에서는 ${\lambda}g/2$ 개방형 협대역 소형 스터브 대역통과 여파기를 새롭게 제안한다. 이 여파기를 연구하는 목적은 전송선로에서 발생하는 2차 고조파를 이용하여 여파기의 가로 측 길이를 줄이는 것이고, 또한 동시에 공진부와 전송선로에서 발생하는 기본파를 이용하여 전력을 전달하기 위하여 임피던스 부정합 기법을 이용하는 것이다. 그러므로 여파기의 가로 측 길이는 기존에 비해 1/2로 축소되었다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 설계된 여파기의 대역폭은 10 % 이고, 중심 주파수는 5.8 GHz이며, 측정 결과의 삽입손실 및 반사손실은 각각 1.58 dB, 9.86 dB의 결과 값을 얻었고 크기는 $10.34{\times}18.56\;mm2$ 이다.

광대역의 고조파 억제가 가능한 헤어핀 SIR을 사용한 협대역 통과 여파기 설계 (Design of A Narrow Bandpass Filter with Wideband Harmonic Suppression Using Hairpin Step Impedance Resonators)

  • 본 논문에서는 4~6 %의 협대역 필터를 구현함에 있어서 광대역으로 고조파 성분을 억제하기 위하여 suspended-strip 선로 상에 2개의 헤어핀 계단형 임피던스 공진기 구조를 구현한 새로운 설계법을 제시하였다. 제안된 협대역 필터의 구현의 예로, 중심주파수 $f_0=1.4GHz$에서 5 %의 대역폭의 협대역 필터를 구현하였고, $7.5f_0$까지 광대역 고조파 억제 대역을 구현할 수 있음을 보였다. 이 결과는 기존 마이크로스트립 선로를 사용한 협대역 필터 설계법에 비해 2배 이상 넓은 고조파 억제가 구현 가능함을 입증한 것이며, 삽입손실 또한 0.9 dB로 우수한 특성을 얻었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 $\{lambda}$g/4 단락형 및 ${\lambda}$g/2 개방형 스터브를 이용한 협대역 대역통과 여파기를 제안한다. 스터브 대역 통과 여파기를 협대역으로 구현하기 위해, 스터브의 임피던스 값 변화 없이 스터브 위치를 변화시켜, 그에 따른 Qe (External quality factor) 값을 이용하여 협대역 대역통과 여파기를 구현한다. 또한, 협대역 대역통과 여파기의 전승선로 부분에 T-형태의 대역저지 여파기를 집적시켜, 여파기에서 발생하는 고조파들을 억제한다. 제안된 여파기의 중심 주파수는 5.8 GHz, 대역폭은 10 % 이며, ${\lambda}$g/4 단락형에서의 삽입손실은 2.1 dB, 반사손실은 18 dB이고, ${\lambda}$g/2 개방형에서의 삽입손실은 1.2 dB, 반사손실은 21.9 dB의 측정결과들을 얻는다.

성인 여성의 스커트 디자인선호에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Women's Preference to the Skirt Design)

  • The aim of this research analyze women's preference in types and formation of skirt lines by their ages and body shapes. The aim of this study is for women to select clothing which can cover their shortcomings and to present the practical and positive data about skirt design to clothing maker. The results of this research are summarized as followed : Tight skirt is the beest preferred and flare is the next. Narred silhouettes re preferred about th width of each kind of skirt, but as for the gored and flare skirts middle-width silhouettes are preferred. Preferred lengths of the skirts are different from ages; the middle like minilines, the thirties like miniline, the thirties and the forties natural line, and the fifties midiline, and according to body shapes, the skinny or standard shape like natural line and the fat midiline. All age prefer natural waist line, and twenties and the skinny like high waist line and belt compared to fifties and the fat. All ages like dart-treated skirt waist and wrinkle-decoration with narrow vertical lines or tuck-decoration with narrow horizontal line. White and blue are preferred colors of skirts in spring and summer, the skinny and the standard like blue, whereas the fat like black. All ages like soft materials and one-colored skirts without patterns Adult women like jipper to open waist of a skirt. Most of them like back positioned one, but fifties and the fat prefer side positioned ones.

바이어스 단에 따른 Doherty 전력증폭기의 성능개선 (Performance enhancement of Doherty power amplifier with drain bias line)

  • In this paper, we propose Doherty amplifier with proper drain bias line. By $\lambda$/4 microstrip line, IMD is eliminated. Also output power of amplifier is reduced in wanted bandwidth. For linearity improvement, we design drain bias with narrow $\lambda$/4 microstrip line. We observe that gain characteristics improve 1dB and $3^{rd}/5^{th}$ IMD characteristics reduce 5dB/10dB.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NARROW GAP MULTI-PASS WELDING SYSTEM USING LASER VISION SYSTEM

  • In the multi-pass welding of pressure vessels or ships, the mechanical touch sensor system is generally used together with a manipulator to measure the gap and depth of the narrow gap to perform seam tracking. Unfortunately, such mechanical touch sensors may commit measuring errors caused by the eterioration of the measuring device. An automation system of narrow gap multi-pass welding using a laser vision system which can track the seam line of narrow gap and which can control welding power has been developed. The joint profile of the narrow gap, with 250mm depth and 28mm width, can be captured by laser vision camera. The image is then processed for defining tracking positions of the torch during welding. Then, the real-time correction of lateral and vertical position of the torch can be done by the laser vision system. The adaptive control of welding conditions like welding Currents and welding speeds, can also be performed by the laser vision system, which cannot be done by conventional mechanical touch systems. The developed automation system will be adopted to reduce the idle time of welders, which happens frequently in conventional long welding processes, and to improve the reliability of the weld quality as well.

The Emission-line Properties of Young Radio Galaxies

  • To investigate the properties of the narrow-line regions and the accretion disks of YRGs, we study a sample of 28 young radio galaxies (YRGs) observed with the Kast Double Spectrograph at the Shane 3-m telescope and with the DBSP (Double Spectrograph for the Palomar 200-inch Telescope) at Palomar observatory. In addition we collect an addition sample of 15 YRGs with the optical spectra from the SDSS archive. We present the measured narrow-line region properties based on the various emission line ratios, i.e., [O III]/$H{\beta}$, [N II]/$H{\alpha}$, [S II] 6716/6731, [O I]/[O III], [O II]/[O III] and [Ar III]/[O III], which are useful to constrain the gas properties and the states of the accretion disk. We will discuss the characteristics of YRG.
