Normally Alcohol-based inks can be sensitive But High boiling point ethylene glycol ether base Ink is creating a stable meniscus and minimum maintenance issues. We are reaching a 50~60wt% high Silver Ink using a Hydrophilic Ag Nano powder. (30~50nm)

Diameter Effect of Silver Nanorod Arrays to Surface-enhanced Raman Scattering

  • The effect the diameter of silver nanorod arrays whose distance between the nanorods was uniform at 65 nm have on Surface-enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) has been studied by varying the diameter from 28 to 51 nm. Nanorod length was fixed at approximately 62 nm, which is the optimum length for SERS by excitation with a 632.8 nm laser line. The transverse and longitudinal modes of the surface plasmon of these silver nanorods were near 400 and 630 nm, respectively. The extinction of the longitudinal mode increased with increasing nanorod diameter, while the transverse mode did not change significantly. High-quality SERS spectra of p-aminothiophenol and benzenethiol adsorbed on the tips of the silver nanorods were observed by excitation with a 632.8 nm laser line. The SERS enhancement increased with increasing nanorod diameter. We concluded that the SERS enhancement increases when the diameter of silver nanorods is increased mainly by increasing the excitation efficiency of the longitudinal mode. The enhancement factor for the silver nanorods with a 51 nm diameter was approximately $2{\times}10^7$.

은 나노 용액을 활용한 참나무 시들음병 방제 연구 (Control Efficacy of Nano-silver Liquid on Oak Wilt Caused by Raffaelea sp. in the Field)

  • 본 연구는 세계적으로 참나무류 집단고사를 일으켜 문제가 되고 있는 R. quercivorus 균의 방제를 위한 연구로 최근 나노기술을 활용하여 참나무시들음병(Oak wilt)의 원인균인 R. quercivorus를 방제하고 매개충인 광릉긴나무좀(Platypus koryoensis)의 생태 및 형태연구에 관한 것이다. Nano-silver 용액 WA-AT-WB13R을 이용하여 R. quercivorus 균에 대한 in vitro 실험을 실시하였으며, WAAT-WB13R 용액이 100 ppm에서 균사 및 포자의 생장 억제 효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 각각 10, 30, 50, 100 ppm 처리하여 SEM 관찰 결과, 무처리구에서는 균사의 형태가 정상적임을 확인하였고 30 ppm에서부터 균사의 형태가 조금씩 변형이 일어나다가 100 ppm에서는 균사 및 포자가 비정상적으로 일그러져 있는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 매개충인 P. koryoensis의 충체에 붙어있는 균사와 포자를 SEM을 이용하여 위와 같은 방법으로 처리 관찰 결과, 표면과 균낭의 균사 및 포자의 형태가 100 ppm에 가까울수록 형태적인 변화를 관찰할 수 있었다. 기내에서의 R. quercivorus의 균사 생장억제효과를 바탕으로 수간주사(Trunk injection)를 실시한 결과, 철원과 홍천에서는 시들음 및 약해 증상을 확인할 수 없었다. 또한 춘천은 7월 시들음 증상을 보였으나 그 후 시들음 증상 및 약해를 보이지 않았다. 본 연구를 통하여 nano-silver 용액을 이용한 참나무시들음병의 원인균인 R. quercivorus의 생장억제 효과를 확인하였으며, nano-silver를 이용한 R. quercivorus 방제할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

균일 침전법에 의한 은 나노 입자 합성 (Synthesis of Silver Nano-particles by Homogeneous Precipitation)

  • Silver particles were synthesized from silver nitrate by homogeneous precipitation and chemical reduction methods involving the intermediate silver cyanate. The obtained silver particles were characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, and BET. Urea which could prevent the agglomeration of the reduced silver particles was used as a homogeneous precipitator. The spherical silver particles with average particle diameter of 100 nm were obtained under the optimum reaction conditions. The optimum synthetic conditions were found as follows: reaction temperature $100^{\circ}C$, reaction time 60 min, concentration of silver nitrate $1{\times}10^{-2}$ mol, urea $5{\times}10^{-3}$ mol, and sodium citrate $8.5{\times}10^{-4}$ mol. The phase of obtained silver particles was crystalline state and the silver particles were relatively dense, which had the surface area of $0.7571\;m^{2}/g$.

  • Growing attention has been given to sterilizing and antibacterial effects of nano-silver, recently. Nano-silver solution can be applied to the heat exchanger in an air conditioner to prevent bad smell or bacteria. The present study is directed at the nozzle spray characteristics over a heat exchanger. This problem is of particular interest in the design of a nano-silver HVAC system. The effects of nozzle position and flow rate on the spray area over a horizontal surface have been investigated for various nozzles. The results obtained indicate that spray area is increased as the height of spray position is increased or mass flow rate is increased. The wetted area over a practical heat exchanger is also studied at a given nozzle height. It is found that the wetted area is gradually increased with an increase in the flow rate. However, the effect of flow rate on the wetted area is a little affected by flow rate in the range of too much flow rate. It is also found that the wetted area is decreased as the inclination angle of a heat exchanger is increased.

IBAD로 표면개질된 실리콘 표면의 나노 트라이볼로지적 특성 (Nanotribological Characteristics of Silicon Surfaces Modified by IBAD)

  • Nano adhesion and friction between a $Si_{3}N_{4}$ AFM(atomic force microscope) tip and thin silver films were experimentally studied. Tests were performed to measure the nano adhesion and friction in both AFM and LFM(lateral force microscope) modes in various range of normal loads. Thin silver films deposited by IBAD (ion beam assisted deposition) on Si-wafer (100) and other Si-wafers of different surface roughness were used. Results showed that nano adhesion and friction decreased with the surface roughness. When the Si surfaces were coated by pure silver, the adhesion and friction decreased. But the adhesion and friction were not affected by the thickness of IBAD silver coating. As the normal force increased, the adhesion forces of bare Si-wafer and IBAD silver coating film remained constant, but the friction forces increased linearly. Test results suggested that the friction was mainly governed by the adhesion as long as the load was low.

  • Induction cooktop has a great attention due to its safety, quick heating and cleanness compared to gas oven. However, the materials for induction cookware is limited to steel or stainless-steel which has the magnetic property. Recently, it has been tried to apply various porcelain to induction cookware after printing the silver layer on the bottom of cookware plates and co-firing at high temperature. Glass frits are added in the silver paste to improve an adhesion force between porcelain materials containers and transferred silver layer. The hybrid silver pastes for induction cookware requires the proper electrical resistance and the thermal conductivity with base plates. After sintering process at $800^{\circ}C$, a part of melted glass migrated to the porcelain and the rest of the glass frit was exposed to the surface. It was confirmed that most of the glass frit formed an adhesion layer between the porcelain and transferred silver layer that enhances the adhesion force.

  • Among the various nanoparticles reported for commercial applications, considerable interest has been generated by the use of silver nanoparticles. Owning to extremely small size, silver nanoparticles exhibit enhanced properties when compared with the bulk material. In this research work, silver nanoparticles were prepared by the reduction of silver salt with a reducing agent by a solvothermal method using different solvent mediums such as ethanol, hexane, toluene and acetone with water. The prepared silver nanoparticles were characterized systematically by X-ray diffraction (XRD), particle size analysis and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results revealed the formation of pure silver phase and nano-sized particles. Among the different solvent mediums used, the silver nanoparticles prepared by hexane and water as solvent mixture resulted in very low particle size.

은을 코팅한 Nano-Colloidal Silica의 합성 (Synthesis of Nano-Colloidal Silica Coated with Silver)

  • 본 연구에서는 나노 콜로이드 실리카에 은을 코팅하기 위하여 직접 은을 코팅하는 방법과 실리카입자 표면개질 후 은을 코팅하는 방법 등의 2가지 방법이 시도되었다. 실리카에 대한 은의 질량비율과 환원제 주입량 등이 은의 코팅에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 콜로이드 실리카에 직접 은을 코팅한 경우보다 MPTS (3-Mercaptopropyl trimethoxysilane)와 APTS (3-Aminopropyl trimethoxysilane)로 표면개질한 후 은을 코팅한 경우가 높은 은(Ag) 코팅율과 우수한 항균효과를 나타내는 것이 관찰되었다.

UV 처리에 의해 표면 산화 처리한 Silver Oxide 박막의 결정 변화에 따른 Nano Mechanics 특성 연구

  • Ag (Silver) 박막은 낮은 전기 저항과 높은 가시광대의 반사율을 가져 T-OLED (Top Emission-Organic Light Emitting Diode)의 Anode로 각광 받고 있지만, 일반적인 Ag 박막의 일함수는 4.3 eV 이하로 T-OLED의 Anode로 사용하기에는 낮은 단점이 있다. 따라서 이를 극복하기 위한 방법으로 Ag 박막 표면을 산화시켜 일함수를 증가시키기 위한 연구가 진행중에 있다. 하지만 연구는 단순히 일함수를 증가시키는 것에 한정되어 있을 뿐 UV 처리된 박막의 nano-mechanics 특성에 대한 연구는 현재 전무하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 순도 99.9%의 Ag 타겟을 이용하여 rf magnetron sputter 장비를 통해 Ag 박막을 증착 하였고, 이후 UV (Ultra-Violet) 램프를 통해 시료 표면을 산화시켰다. 특히, 이 논문의 주요 관심사인 박막의 nano mechanics 특성 분석을 위하여 nano indenter와 SPM (Scanning Probe microscope) 장치를 활용 하였다. 실험 결과 후처리 시간이 3분 이하인 경우 박막이 비결정질의 silver oxide로 성장하는 것을 확인하였으며, 이때 박막의 면저항은 $0.16{\Omega}$/sq.에서 $0.55{\Omega}$/sq.로 증가하는 것을 관찰할 수 있었고, 3분 이후, 비결정질의 silver oxide가 conducting 특성을 갖는 silver oxide 결정을 이루면서 면저항이 $0.55{\Omega}$/sq.에서 $0.21{\Omega}$/sq.로 감소하는 것을 보았다. 또한 결정질의 박막이 자라는 3분이상의 박막에서 surface hardness는 급격하게 증가($3.57{\rightarrow}9.47$ GPa)했으며, 6분 이후에는 감소하는($9.47{\rightarrow}3.46$ GPa) 경향을 보였다. 이러한 경향은 silver oxide의 결정 크기가 Ag 결정 보다 크므로 상대적인 압축응력을 받아 표면 경도가 증가됐다. 처리시간 6분 이후, 경도 감소는 박막의 표면 물성이 불안정해졌기 때문이다.
