나노버블수를 활용한 시멘트 복합체의 작업성 증진에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Improvement of Workability of Cementitious Composites Using Nano-bubble Water)

  • 본 연구는 시멘트계 건설재료의 작업성 증진을 위하여 나노버블수의 사용을 시도하였다. 사용된 나노버블수는 약 750 nm의 입경을 지닌 나노버블이 7% 포함된 배합수를 사용하였다. 초고성능콘크리트, 경량시멘트 복합체, 고강도 모르타르 등 다양한 시멘트 복합체에 나노버블수가 배합수로서 사용될 때 미치는 영향을 실험하였다. 작업성을 대표할 수 있는 플로우 값이 시편에 따라 3-22%정도 증진됨을 확인하였다. 하지만 압축강도에는 큰 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 재료의 굳은 성질에 큰 영향 없이 시멘트 복합체의 작업성을 증진시킬 수 있는 새로운 방법으로 나노버블수의 사용이 다양한 시멘트 복합체에 활용될 수 있음을 제시하였다.

  • Lithography techniques are generally used to manufacture nano-patterns on silicon, however, it is difficult to make a V-shaped pattern using these techniques. Although silicon is a brittle material, it can be treated as a ductile material if mechanically machined at extremely low force scale. The manufacturing technique of nano-patterns on single crystal silicon using a mechanical method was developed in this study. First, the linear pattern was machined on the silicon with increasing thrust force. Then, the correlation between measured cutting force and machined pattern was analyzed. Based on the analysis, the critical thrust force was quantitatively determined, and then the silicon was machined at a force lower than the critical thrust force. The machined pattern was observed using SEM and AFM to check for the occurrence of brittle fractures. Finally, the sharp V-shaped nano-pattern was manufactured on the single crystal silicon.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 epoxy를 기지로 하고 $Fe_2O_3$ 나노 입자 포함하는 나노 복합재료의 특성에 미치는 나노입자의 영향을 알아보는데 있다. 이를 위하여 다음과 같은 연구가 이루어졌다. 나노 입자의 수지 내에서 최적 분산 기법, 나노 입자가 수지의 점성에 미치는 영향, 나노 입자의 조성비에 대한 나노 복합재료의 기계적 특성 변화 및 나노 복합재료의 다기능성에 대하여 조사를 하였다. 나노 입자의 분산을 위하여 초음파 가진을 사용하였으며 최적 분산을 위한 최적 초음파 가진 시간이 존재하며 초음파 외에도 기계적 교반이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 첨가된 나노입자의 양에 따른 기계적 물성치의 변화를 알아보았다.

  • This paper accomplished the basic research using the hydrostatic extrusion to make the nano-grained bulk material. It was carried out a hot hydrostatic extrusion using the hipped bulk Al-7.5%Mg that was taken from University of California, Davis. in order to investigate the effect of the hot isostatic extrusion. The tensile tests for the hipped bulk Al-7.5%Mg and the extruded one was executed and the results was compared.

  • In the fabrication of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs), carbon counter electrode has been tested for replacing the platinum counter electrode which has two drawbacks: limited surface area and high material cost. Poor mechanical stability of carbon layer due to weak bonding strength to electrically conductive TCO (transparent conducting oxide) glass substrate is a crucial barrier for practical application of carbon counter electrode. In the present study a carbon counter electrode with high conversion efficiency, comparable to Pt counter electrode, could be fabricated by adaption of a bonding layer between particulate carbon material and TCO substrate.

  • Manufacturing technologies of micro parts were studied in nano grained Al-1.5mass%Mg alloy. During compressive test at $300^{\circ}C$, the Al alloy showed stain softening phenomenon by grain boundary sliding regardless of strain rate. Micro spur gear with ten teeth (height of $200{\mu}m$ and pitch of $250{\mu}m$) was fabricated with sound shape by micro forging. During micro forging, increase of applied stress induced by friction between material and die surface was effectively compensated by decrease of stress by strain softening behavior and as a result, flow stress increased only about 50 MPa more than that in compressive test

Optimization of the Material and Structure of Component Parts for Reducing the Number of Impurity Particles in CVD Process

  • We have examined minimization of the number of impurity particles by replacing the load-lock chamber materials of the chemical vapor deposition equipment through optimization of the pumping method in the deposition chamber. In order to reduce the number of impurity particles in the chamber, the load-lock spacer material was changed from monomer casting nylon to Torlon. Furthermore, we controlled the pumping speed and number of pumping ports, which resulted in a reduction in the impurity particle generation from 2.67% to 0.52%. This study revealed that the selection of the material for the parts of a chemical vapor deposition chamber can minimize particle generation, thereby presenting a method of optimization method of the chemical vapor deposition chamber.

  • Antimony doped tin oxide(ATO) nano powders have been synthesized by homogeneous precipitation method using $SnCl_4\cdot5H_2O$ for precursor, $SbCl_3$ as doped material and urea. The hydrolysis of urea and conductive mechanism and Heat treatment was performed at the temperature from $500^{\circ}C$ to $700^{\circ}C$ in air. The ATO nano powders are characterized by means of Thermogravimetry differential thermal analyzer (TG-DTA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Brunauer, Emmett, and Teller adsorption (BET), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) ATO nano powders with an average size of nm and the highest surface area 129 $m^2g^{-1}$ are obtained.

  • Silicon nanowires (Si NWs)-based top-gate field-effect transistors (FETs) are constructed by using Si NWs transferred onto flexible plastic substrates. Si NWs are obtained from the silicon wafers using photolithography and anisotropic etching process, and transferred onto flexible plastic substrates. To evaluate the electrical performance of the silicon nanowires, we examined the output and transfer characteristics of a top-gate field-effect transistor with a channel composed of a silicon nanowire selected from the nanowires on the plastic substrate. From these FETs, a field-effect mobility and transconductance are evaluated to be $47\;cm^2/Vs$ and 272 nS, respectively.

  • A single gap transflective liquid crystal display(LCD) driven by fringe electric field in the transmissive(T) region and vertical electric field in the reflective(R) region was designed. Because the pretilt angle is formed in $53^{\circ}$ through polymerization of an UV curable reactive mesogen(RM) monomer at the surface, the effective cell retardation $(d{\Delta}n_{eff})$ value of the R region becomes half of that in the T region where the LCs are homogenously aligned. Consequently, a transflective display driven by a vertical and fringe electric field with a single cell gap and single gamma curves is realized.
