애기땅빈대 추출물의 지방산 조성 및 인체 암세포 증식 억제 효과 (Fatty Acid Composition and Antiproliferative Activity of Extracts from Euphorbia Supina)

  • 본 연구에서는 다양한 약효가 있다고 알려진 애기땅빈대(Euphorbia supina)의 추출물 및 분획물의 지방산 조성을 분석하고 인체 암세포 증식 억제효과에 대하여 살펴보았다. A+M과 MeOH 추출물의 지방산 조성 패턴은 유사했고 A+M과 MeOH 추출물은 각각 53.4% 및 42.1%의 18:3n-3를 함유하였다. 분획물들 중 85% aq. MeOH는 가장 높은 함량의 18:3n-3를 나타내었다. 애기땅빈대에 의한 암세포 증식 억제효과는 MeOH 추출물과 비교했을 때 A+M 추출물에 의한 억제효과가 높았으며 AGS 인체 위암세포에 대한 억제효과가 높았다. 분획물들 중에서는 n-Hexane과 85% aq. MeOH 분획물들에 의한 증식 억제효과가 높았다. 따라서 애기땅빈대의 항암 활성 성분은 n-Hexane과 85% aq. MeOH 분획물들에 함유되어 있는 것으로 여겨지며 향후 정제하여 규명할 필요가 있다고 사료된다.

Bulnesia sarmienti 추출물의 항산화 및 항암효과 (The Antioxidant and Antitumor Effects of the Extract of Bulnesia sarmientia)

  • 이 연구에서는 Bulnesia sarmienti의 기능성 식품으로서의 이용성을 증대시키기 위하여 각 용매별 분획추출물의 항산화 효과와 MTT검색법을 사용한 항암 효과를 측정하였다. 총 페놀 함량은 methanol, n-hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, butanol, 물 추출물에서 각각 6.85, 5.81, 6.30, 7.47, 6.48, 4.82%로 나타났다. 용매분획별 총 페놀 함량은 ethyl acetate추출물에서 가장 높게 나왔고, 비교적 총 페놀 함량이 높은$(0.10{\sim}4.55%)$ 과일류보다도 더 높았다. 전자공여능은 모든 용매추출물에서 농도가 높을수록 그 효과가 증가하였으며 $500{\mu}g/mL\;1000{\mu}g/mL$에서는 모든 추출물에서 80%이상의 높은 소거능을 보여 합성항산 화제인 BHT와 동등한 효과를 보였다. 아질산염 소거능 측정결과, $100{\mu}g/mL$에서 methanol, butanol, ethyl acetate, n-hexean, chloroform, 물 추출물은 각각 4.43, 12.55, 16.72, 1.86, 5.53, 5.77%로 낮은 활성이 나타났다. $500{\mu}g/mL$에서 methanol, butanol, ethyl acetate, n-hexean, chloroform, 물 추출물은 38.52, 33.39, 47.41, 21.17, 31.74, 18.02%로 $100{\mu}g/mL$에서보다 활성이 증가하였고, $1000{\mu}g/mL$에서는 ethyl acetate추출물이 73.29%로 가장 높은 활성을 나타내었다. Methanol, butanol, n-hexean, chloroform, 물 추출물은 각각 65.65, 65.02, 47.49, 52.51, 45.54%로 비교적 높은 활성을 보였다. 추출용매에 따른 암세포의 성장억제효과를 보면 위암세포인 SNU-1은 $100{\mu}g/mL$에서 n-hexane추출물이 61.6%로 가장 높은 억제효과를 나타내었고, ethyl acetate 와 물 추출물은 억제효과가 없었다. 자궁암세포인 Hela는 $100{\mu}g/mL$에서 n-hexane추출물이 75.1%로 가장 높은 억제효과를 나타내었고, 물 추출물은 억제효과가 없었다. 대장암세포인 HT-29도 $100{\mu}g/mL$에서 n-hexane추출물이 57.4%로 가장 높은 억제효과를 나타내었다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 보면, Bulnesia sarmienti는 항산화 및 항암효과가 있는 것으로 판단되며 기능성 식품으로서의 개발가능성을 기대할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

  • The writer measured methemoglobin formation with solvent (n-hexane, ethylacetate and methanol) organic extracts from the sediments of the Wonju stream run through Wonju city on Octover 2nd, 1985. Hemoglobin was converted to methemoglobin with the n-hexane extract obtained from the sediment of the St. C and St. D was polluted industrial wastewater, but not with that from the St. B was polluted with the urban wastewater. The formation of methemoglobin was remarkable with the all solvent extracts from the sediment of the uper stream of the Wonju stream. Doses of the solvent extracts for 20% methemoglobin formation in the researched Wonju streams were as follows; 0.095~0.28 mg/m.$\ell$ in n-hexane extract. 0.85-1.3 mg/ m$\ell$ in methanol extract and 1.95~2.80 mg/m$\ell$ in ethylacetate extract.

  • A simple, accurate GC analytical technique for the determination of phthalates. commonly used as plasticizers during the manufacturing process of PVC bags, in blood component preparations was developed and validated. The blood component preparations were extracted with n-hexane. The n-hexane layer was evaporated to dryness and the residue was dissolved in 1 $m\ell$ of n-hexane and analyzed by GC and GC/MS. 활성탄 고정층에 있어서 유기용제의 흡착평형 (Adsorption Equilibria of Organic Solvent in an Activated Carbon Fixed Bed)

  • Adsorption equilibrium data of pure solvent vapors (n-Hexane, Toluene, MEK) as well as their binary mixtures on activated carbon (sorbonorit $B_4$) were experimentally determined in the range of 293.2~323.2 K and beyond saturated vapor pressure corresponding to experimental temperature. Langmuir, Freundlich, LRC, W-VSM, FH-VSM were estimated for the predication of single component as well as binary mixtuer systems. The isosteric heat of adsorption at infinite dilution of pure n-hexane, toluene, MEK on activated carbon were 45.18, 25.85, 34.62 Kcal/mol, respectively, also, n-hexane-toluene binary adsorption of activated carbon formed an azeotrope at 293.2 K and total pressure 5.1~10.3 mmHg.

Negative Effects of Water Extracts from Pinus densiflora Sawdust on Mycelium Growth of the Shiitake Mushroom Lentinula edodes

  • Extracts from sawdust of Pinus densiflora were showed antifungal activity against Lentinula edodes. It was extracted by hot water and then successively extracted by n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol. The yields of the n-hexane-soluble, ethyl acetatesoluble, methanol-soluble and methanol-insoluble fractions of water extracts were 8.2%, 10.6%, 32.0%, and 49.2%, respectively. The ethyl acetate-soluble fraction showed the greatest antifungal activity against L. edodes: 41.5% inhibition at 1,000 ppm. However, there were not significant differences of antifungal activities between n-hexane-soluble fraction and methanol-soluble fraction at a concentration of 1,000 ppm. The hot water extracts showed 23.5% of antifungal activity against L. edodes at a concentration of 1000 ppm. The four antifungal compounds were separated from ethyl acetate fraction by thin layer chromatography.

통초추출물의 항산화 활성 및 항노화효과 (Antioxidative Activity and Antiaging Effects of Tetrapanax papyriferum extract)

  • In this study, we evaluated the anti-oxidative, whitening and anti-wrinkle effect of Tetrapanax papyriferum extract. Tetrapanax papyriferum was extracted by two different solvents which were n-Hexane, ethyl acetate. The anti-oxidant activity was measured by free radical scavenging activity using DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical). And the inhibitory activities of tyrosinase for whitening effect and collagenase, elastase for anti-wrinkle were investigated. For anti-oxidant activity, ethyl acetate fraction of Tetrapanax papyriferum extract showed more significant activity than n-Hexane fraction of Tetrapanax papyriferum extract. For whitening activity, n-Hexane fraction of Tetrapanax papyriferum extract exhibited strong inhibition effects compared with reference. Therefore, Tetrapanax papyriferum extract may be useful as a new antioxidant and whitening agent.

  • 활성 빵효모를 이용한 생물학적 환원은 n-hexane, pentane과 석유에테르와 같은 유기용매에서 순조롭게 진행되어, ethyl(1)과 octyl 3-oxohexanoate(2)는 높은 %ee로 환원되었다. 활성 빵효모에 의한 생물학적 환원은 물보다 유기용매에서 생성물의 정제가 간편하고 경제적 효과가 크다는 이점이 있었다. 이러한 생물학적 환원방법은 광학활성 천연물의 합성에 이용할 수 있으리라 생각되어 진다.

Synthesis of spherical silica aerogel powder by emulsion polymerization technique

  • Spherical silica aerogel powders were fabricated via an emulsion polymerization method from a water glass. A water-in-oil emulsion, in which droplets of a silicic acid solution are emulsified with span 80 (surfactant) in n-hexane, was produced by a high power homogenizer. After gelation, the surface of the spherical silica hydrogels was modified using a TMCS (trimethylchlorosilane)/n-hexane solution followed by solvent exchange from water to n-hexane. Hydrophobic silica wet gel droplets were dried at 80 ℃ under ambient pressure. A perfect spherical silica aerogel powder between1 to 12 ㎛ in diameter was obtained and its size can be controlled by mixing speed. The tapping density, pore volume, and BET surface area of the silica aerogel powder were approximately 0.08 g·cm-3, 3.5 ㎤·g-1 and 742 ㎡·g-1, respectively.

고들빼기 생리활성물질의 검색 (Exploitation of the biologically active components in Youngia sonchifolia Max)

  • 우리나라 전지역의 산과 들에 야생하고 있는 고들빼기(Youngia sonchifolia Max.)는 전통식품인 고들빼기 김치의 원료로 이용될 뿐만 아니라 오래전부터 민간에서 위장장애 치료재로 이용되어 왔다. 그래서 고들빼기의 생화학적 활성 및 항암 실험과 그 특수성분을 분석하였는데 hexane 추출물 중에서 silica gel column chromatography와 재결정으로 얻어낸 화합물은 무색판상 결정으로 융점이 $280{\sim}282^{\circ}C$ 이었으며 구조결정을 위해 $^{13}C-NMR$, $^1H-NMR$, MS로 분석한 결과 pentacyclic triterpene인 bauerenyl acetate인 것을 확인하였다.
