본 논문은 멀티미디어 기술을 활용한 ICT 기반 초등학교 가락짓기 교육의 유용성과 타당성을 검증함에 그 목적이 있다. 최근 몇 년 사이 컴퓨터의 급속한 발달과 함께 더불어 눈부신 발전을 보이고 있는 멀티미디어 기술은 음악 교과가 가진 특성과 맞물려 음악 교육의 다양한 문제점을 극복하고 학생의 음악적 기능과 지식의 발달을 충족할 수 있는 새로운 대안이 될 것으로 기대되고 있다. 특히, 많은 초등학교 교사들과 학생들이 교육과 학습 과정에서 어려움을 겪고 있는 가락짓기 교육에 ICT 기반 음악 교육을 도입할 경우 그 교육적 효과가 지대할 것으로 기대되고 있다. 본 논문의 ICT기반 가락짓기 교육 방법은 전통적인 이론 학습과 악기를 활용한 가락짓기 수업의 한계와 문제점을 파악하고 이를 개선하기 위한 방법의 하나로 초등학생에게 컴퓨터 프로그램 사용법을 지도한 후 음악 창작 수업에 이를 적용시킴으로써 전통적인 수업방식에 비해 단시간에 효과를 극대화하고 교과서에서 제시된 수준 이상의 가락짓기 능력을 신장시켰다.

본 연구는 SNS를 활용하여 창작뮤지컬 공연을 관람하는 고객들의 창작뮤지컬 선택속성이 만족도에 미치는 영향관계를 파악하여 공연기획 및 홍보마케팅 시 관람객들의 창작 뮤지컬에 대한 인식을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 창작뮤지컬 선택속성이 만족도에 미치는 영향관계를 살펴본 결과 SNS를 활용하여 창작뮤지컬 공연을 선택하는 고객들의 경우에는 뮤지컬의 내용구성(1순위), 주연급 배우(2순위), 뮤지컬에 대한 평가(3순위), 뮤지컬의 연출(4순위)이 만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고 무대구성, 직원들의 서비스, 공연장에 대한 만족도, 뮤지컬 관람비용의 경우에는 영향을 미치지 않았다. 그러나, SNS를 활용하지 않고 창작 뮤지컬 공연을 선택하는 경우에는 뮤지컬의 내용구성(1순위), 뮤지컬에 대한 평가(2순위), 뮤지컬의 연출(3순위), 주연급 배우(4순위) 순으로 만족도에 영향을 미치지만 직원들의 서비스, 무대구성, 뮤지컬 관람비용, 공연장에 대한 만족도의 경우에는 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

극 장르에 속하면서 동시에 음악 장르인 뮤지컬에 대한 일반적인 오해는 뮤지컬에서는 음악이 극에 봉사한다고 생각하는 것이다. 즉 극전개를 위한 서술적인 에피소드들의 연속이 존재하고, 음악은 각 에피소드에 부합하는 분위기를 창출한다는 것이다. 이 경우, 음악은 극에 종속되는 부차적인 요소가 된다. 뮤지컬에 대한 우리의 입장은 음악적 구성이 극의 전개와 긴밀히 결합되어 있으며, 보다 정확히 말한다면 음악적 전개에 의해 극이 진행된다는 것이다. 본 논문은 이와 같은 입장을 뮤지컬 역사상 가장 성공적이었던 작품 중 하나인 "레미제라블"을 통해서 입증해보고자 한다. 소설 "레미제라블"의 뮤지컬로의 각색은 단지 소설을 에피소드의 연속으로 축약하는 것이 아니다. 소설을 극화는 뮤지컬 창작자들이 원작 속에서 무엇을 극적 행위로 추출하는가를 관찰하게 한다. 그리고 우리는 뮤지컬 창작자들의 해석이 그들의 음악적 구성 속에 어떻게 반영되는가에 관심을 기울인다. 본 논문은 뮤지컬 "레미제라블"을 이루는 40편의 노래들의 음악적 구성을 분석하여 도표로 제시하였다. 이 도표는 작품에 사용된 음악적 모티브들의 반복을 시각화함으로써 음악적 구성과 극적 전개의 관계를 설명한다. "레미제라블"을 관통하는 주제는 장 발장이라는 인물의 변모이다. 그의 변모는 도둑으로부터 예수로 변모하는 과정이며, 죄인임을 부정하는 단계에서 죄인임을 고백하는 단계로의 변모이다. 비참, 사랑, 이름이라는 테마를 중심으로 장 발장의 변모라는 극적행위가 음악적으로 구축되는 방식을 고찰하였다. 본 논문은 극의 갈등을 구성하는 대립항으로서 장 발장과 자베르의 관계, 장 발장과 테나르디에의 관계가 음악적으로 구성되는 방식을 설명하였다. 뮤지컬 "레미제라블"의 성공은 원작에 대한 심도있는 해석을 성공적으로 음악적 구성으로 구현했기 때문이다.

본 연구는 SNS를 활용하여 창작뮤지컬 공연을 관람하는 고객들의 경우 중요도-성취도(IPA: Importance Performance Analysis) 분석을 활용하여 창작뮤지컬 인식에 대한 중요도 및 만족도를 알아보고 공연업체의 창작 뮤지컬 인식을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 즉, 공연기획자들이 점진적으로 신경쓰고 개선해야할 선택속성은 제 II사분면에 위치하여 창작뮤지컬 관람객들이 선택속성에 대해 중요하게 생각하고 있는 반면 이 평가속성에 대한 성취도에서는 낮게 평가된 상태로 향후 시급히 개선해야 하는 속성은 창작뮤지컬의 관람비용(티켓가격), 창작뮤지컬의 내용구성(뮤지컬의 엔딩장면, 기억에 남는 대사가 많음), 창작뮤지컬의 관람비용(공연장의 부대시설 이용요금), 창작뮤지컬의 공연장(공연장의 주차시설)으로 이를 개선하기 위해 지속적인 노력을 해야 한다. 또한, SNS를 활용하지 않고 창작뮤지컬 공연을 선택하는 관람객들의 경우 창작뮤지컬 선택속성(창작뮤지컬의 관람비용), 창작뮤지컬의 무대구성(무대의 음향시설), 창작뮤지컬의 연출(뮤지컬에서 나온 전반적인 음악), 창작뮤지컬의 관람비용(공연장의 부대시설 이용요금), 창작뮤지컬의 공연장(공연장의 주차시설)이라는 선택항목을 개선하기 위해 지속적으로 노력해야 함을 알 수 있다.

This study aims to show the possibility of approaching artistic design through the Bergsonian concept of musical vitality by grasping the expression of his musical vitality at the Chapel at Ronchamp. For the purpose of this study, the aesthetic significance of Bergson's philosophy of life was first contemplated, and a case study analysis was conducted on the vitality of music as temporality at the Chapel at Ronchamp. On this basis, the examples of his musical vitality as metaphysical reality at the Chapel were analyzed. The results of analysis are as follows: First, the Bergsonian vitality of music as temporality at the Chapel is expressed as a sense of movement-through the acoustic form, the modulor corresponding to the scale of the music, the opposite composition of musical changes, the fluid space of the music, and the light and shadow of counterpoint-as having been intended by Le Corbusier in the very process of design. Second, the vitality of music as Bergson's metaphysical reality at the Chapel at Ronchamp is expressed in the image and rhythm of music created by intuitive reminiscences. The acoustic form, the form created by the modulor, the opposite form of composition, the fluid space and the light and shadow as the melody and image of music present continuous diversity as vital flow in a uniform direction. The vitality of music as aesthetical reality is imitated by the rhythm of the music deriving from repetitive movements sensed here. Consequentry, the Chapel at Ronchamp can be seen as a vital design that expresses Bergson's notion of musical vitality, indicating that an approach toward artistic design can be realized through his musical vitality. This study holds significance as basic research on artistic design with philosophy and music as its origin.

The purpose of this study is to grasp musical expression in the Monastery of La Tourette, an architectural work produced by an architect, Le Corbusier and a musician, Iannis Xenakis based on a musical piece, Metastasis. The results of the study on musical expression in the Monastery of La Tourette, which was done through analysis of correlation in expression between architecture and music, and spatial characteristics of this monastery, are as follows: First, in modern architecture and music, the expression of the space-time continuum concept is emphasized. Second, the architectural characteristics in this monastery that constitute musical expression are the Modular, confliction and fluidity in composition, plastic (acoustic) shape and symbolic shape. Third, these architectural characteristics are found to be expressed as counterpoint, alteration, temporality, acoustics and canon of music.

We developed a musical composition and performing method for the dynamic expression of food taste, to replace the static expression obtained from a numerical sensory score and linguistic method. The musical score was composed using cognitive food sensory data gathered while eating potato chips via a computer equipped with a sound card and a master keyboard, as well as Cakewalk 9.0, Goldwave 5.0, and Windows Media Player. The music score included four lines, one representing sensory data and three reflecting three layers of human consciousness. Different time units were applied by incorporating different repetition cycles for the relevant consciousness layers. The musical scores of individual subjects differed in terms of the score pattern and its sound. The music representing food taste was played by four instruments and showed different sound and acoustic frequency patterns for each individual subject during the consumption of potato chips. The musical expression method was applied to analyze the individual taste characteristics in the cognition of food.

The purpose of this study is to provide a reference for stage planning by analyzing current state of major theaters' stage space and understanding feedback from directors belonged to theaters. Each room in total 18 theaters' stage facilities was measured and their usage and requirements were analyzed on the spot. In addition, each director provided their experiential knowledge about appropriate stage composition for musical performance. The findings are as follow: under stage machinery is not needed for musical. Tour teams prefer to use their own show-deck for set conversion. On the other hand, over stage flying system needs to be able to deal with dense, fast, and accurate scene change. The size and location of the motor room needs to be carefully considered. The number of set battens is directly linked up with the size of the motor room, which should be located lower than the gridiron. As stage sets get bigger and complicated, the number of works at the gridiron is also increasing. The grating floor has to have enough strength coping with machines lifting heavy sets. Most sound control for musical performance is being done at F.O.H. these days rather that in the sound control room. It should equip enough work area and related infra especially for tour teams. 1st gallery needs to have enough effective width, power infra for lighting fixture, and strong guardrail. Lastly, the whole process of parking-unloading-transporting equipments and sets from loading dock to stage and vice versa needs to be efficient, and this has to be carefully considered from early stage of planning.

최근 내용 기반 음악 정보 검색 시스템에서는 사용자의 응답 시간을 단축시키기 위해 음악의 대표성을 갖는 선율을 추출하여 색인하고, 검색시 이를 이용한다 음악에서 대표성을 갖는 선율은 해당 음악을 대표하여 사용자가 기억하고 있으며, 사용자가 질의 선율로 사용할 가능성이 높아야 한다. 그러나, 기존의 내용 기반 음악 정보 검색 시스템에서는 음악 구성 형식을 고려하지 않기 때문에 음악 구성 형식에 따라 반복, 대조되는 선율들을 해당 음악을 대표하는 선율로 추출하지 못한다. 본 논문에서는 해당 음악을 대표하는 선율을 추출하기 위하여 한 음악에서 음악 구성 형식을 반영하여 일정한 유사도내에서 반복되는 선율들을 해당 음악의 반복 주제 선율로 추출한다. 또한, 사용자가 일반적으로 인지하는 첫 동기 선율과 절정 선율에 해당되는 선율들을 인식하여 대표 선율에 추가한다. 본 논문에서 제안된 시스템의 성능을 평가하기 위해 프로토타입을 구현하고, 다른 선을 색인과 비교 실험하였다. 실험 결과, 대표 선율 색인은 전체 동기를 색인한 경우에 비해 34％의 적은 저장 공간으로 색인을 구성하여 사용자의 응답 시간을 단축시켰다. 또한, 반복 주제 선율만으로 색인한 경우에 비해 사용자가 질의 가능성이 높은 첫 동기 선율, 절정 선율 등을 대표 선율로 색인하기 때문에 추가적으로 20의 색인 공간이 필요하였으나, 다양한 사용자의 질의 선율에 대해 검색의 정확성을 증진할 수 있음을 보였다.

본 연구는 뮤지컬 보컬 수업에 있어 다양한 발성법을 익히고 학생들에게 적용시키기 위해 동시대에 나타나는 발성법과 노래의 특징을 파악하기 위함이다. 뮤지컬 보컬 발성법은 시대의 요구에 따라 변화하며 진화하고 있다. 오늘날 현대 뮤지컬의 특징은 어느 한 장르로 국한 할 수 없으며 작품 양식과 더불어 음악의 장르도 여러 장르로 파생되어 공존한다. 본 연구의 대상인 'The Girl in 14G'는 다양한 보컬 창법을 구사하는 미국의 유명 뮤지컬 배우인 크리스틴 체노웨스(Kristin Chenoweth)의 앨범에 실린 노래이다. 이 노래의 작곡자인 제닌 테소리(Jeanine Tesori)는 이 노래에서 뉴욕을 대표하는 음악 장르인 '브로드웨이 뮤지컬, 메트로폴리탄 오페라, 이스트 빌리지 재즈'를 표현하기 위해, '성악 창법(Classical Voice), 재즈(Jazz), 벨팅(Belting) 창법, 믹스드 보이스(Mixed Voice)'의 다양한 보컬 테크닉으로 작곡하였다. 노래의 전개는 1명의 배우가 3가지 음악 스타일과 창법으로 3명의 다른 인물을 넘나들며 연기해야 하는 어려운 과정으로 구성되어 있다. 'The Girl in 14G'를 부르기 위해서는 다양한 보컬 테크닉의 습득이 필요한 만큼 많은 노력과 연습이 필요하며, 교육적 측면에서 학생과 배우에게 좋은 텍스트라 할 수 있다. 결과적으로 연구를 통해 이 노래는 탄탄한 음악적, 극적 구성을 갖는 대표적인 노래로써 현대 뮤지컬 보컬 테크닉의 융합적 특징을 잘 보여주는 예임을 확인 할 수 있었다.
