색채교육의 기초확립을 위한 시스템배색체계의 설계 및 색지 제작 (Planning of Systematic Color Coordinate System and Manufacture of Color Paper for Establishment of Basic Color Education)

  • Since the beginning of time people had been using color to mark territory and decorate their surroundings. Color was taken for granted today as an intrinsic part of every waking moment. In modern age, color education was very important curriculum of art and design. In general, color expressed by hue, value and chroma but used the tone on the design spot, therefore the tone concept education was very important to color education. In this study I planned the usable "Systematic Color Coordinate System 180" for general color education on hue and tone color system and manufactured the color papers, color chart and color code based on the system. "Systematic Color Coordinate System 180" was attached the Munsell notation and common color names which could reappear the colors when needed.

지의류로부터 제조한 염액의 직물에 대한 염색성 (Dyeability of Fabrics in Lichen Dyebath)

  • Silk and cotton fabrics were dyed with Parmelia tinctorium that is a kind of lichen. Dyeing solution was prepared by fermentation in aqueous ammonia solution. The effects of pH and temperature in dyebath on dyeability were investigated. The maximum K/S value of each dyed fabrics was showed in 480nm. Silk fabrics showed better dyeability than cotton. Silk fabrics dyed well in acidic or neutral dyebath at $80^\circ{C}$ and cotton fabrics in neutral dyebath at $50^\circ{C}$. Both of silk and cotton fabrics showed poor dyeability in basic dyebath because of colouring anionic groups in lichen. The Munsell values of dyed silk fabrics were appeared in R(red) range, and them of cotton fabrics in YR(yellow-red) range. Light fastnesses of dyed fabrics were as poor as 2 or 2-3 grades. Also, Laundering fastnesses of dyed silk fabrics were as poor as 2 grade and those of cotton fabrics were 3 or 3-4 grades. But dry-cleaning fastnesses of all dyed fabrics were good.

  • Color vision 현상은 대상물질에 의해서 투과(transmission), 굴절(refraction), 반사(reflection)되어 나오는 광(light)이 망막(retina)에 비칠 때 시신경을 자극하여 뇌에 전달됨으로써 일어나는 하나의 감각현상(sensation)이다. 그러므로 그것은 인간의 감각상태, 광의 종류, 대상물질의 환경조건에 따라서, 즉 시각이 이루어진 그 순간에 인간의 눈이 어떻게 작용 하느냐에 달려있는 복잡한 현상 이다. 그래서 지금까지 발표된 20여개의 색채공간 중 그 어느 것도 인간의 감각량을 똑같이 표현할 수 없었던 것은 사실이다. 모든 자연현상이 그렇듯 인간도 개체마다 모두 다르고 대상물질 및 광에 관련된 너무 많은 요소(Factor)가 색지각 현상에 작용하기 때문에 이의 과학적 표현을 위해서는 단순화 및 normalization의 과정을 거치지 않으면 안되었던 것 같다. 지금까지 발표된 20여개의 color space중, perceptibility에 근거를 둔 유일한 color space인, Munsell color space의 해석에 Spline method 같은 수치 해석적 방법을 쓰지 않으면 안되는 그 이유를 제시하려 한다.

한국적 복식 디자인의 개발을 위한 색동의 색채분석 (Color Analysis of korean Traditional Striped Clothes (Saikdong) for the Dvelopement of Borean Fashion Design)

  • The objectives of this study were to analyze the color characteristics of Saikdong by the standardized color system and to applicate it's color characteristics to fashion design. 25 traditional costumes made with Saikdong were selected from four museums in Seoul. The colors were measured using CE 310 and analyzed by Munsell HV/C. The results were shown as follows; 1. The frequently used hues in Saikdong are warm colors such as red, orange, yellow. Except purplish blue, cool colors show low usage ratio. 2. The tones of medium lightness and saturation are most frequent in Saikdong colors. 3. The characteristics of color combination are the contrast of hue and the similarity in tones. This makes the saikdong splendid and harmonious. 4. Based on this anaylized characteristics of Saikdong color combination, fashion designs were developed by computer simulations.

황산구리/치오요소 후처리에 희한 직접염료의 견뢰도 증진에 관한 연구(II) (A Study on Improvement of Fastness on Cotton-dyed Fabric by Aftertreatment with Copper Sulfate/Thiourea)

  • The Cotton fabric was dyed with various directd dyes, and then treated with copper sulfate or copper sulfate/thiourea. Munsell color system, dye exhaustion, tensile strength, light fastness, washing fastness and rubbing fastness were investigated for the treated fabrics. The results obtaind are as follows: 1. The color variation of the cotton-dyed fabric by aftertreatment with copper sulfate was shown redish, but original color with copper sulfate/thiourea. 2. Copper sulfate/thiourea was much more effective than copper sulfate only to increase the light fastness, washing fastness and rubbing fastness. 3. Dye exhaustion of the cotton-dyed fabric by aftertreatment with copper sulfate was decreased about 20% more than those of untreated. 4. Tensile stregth of cotton-dyed fabric by aftertreatment with copper sulfate/thiourea was decrease about 10% more than those of untreated.

표백효과에 관한 실험적 연구 (AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON EFFECT OF BLEACHING)

  • The purpose of this study was to the observe effects of the various bleaching agents on blood clot. Absorbent papers(N9.5) were coated with O type blood and were dried in shadow for 72 hours. Bleaching agents used were 5% NaOCl 30% $H_2O_2$, saturated solutions of $NaBO_3$ $4H_2O$, $Ca(OCl)_2$ and $Na_2O_2$ at $20^{\circ}C$. After the specimens, blood cloted papers were dipped in 10CC of solution for 1 minute, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 hours and 24 hours, specimens were washed with distilled water and dried. Hue Value/Chroma contrived by Munsell was measured in each specimen. The following results were obtained. 1. Superoxol changes 2.5YR 4.5/2 into N9.5 (white) after 24 hours. 2. All bleaching agents except superoxol change YR into Y.

밤송이 추출액을 이용한 견과 면직물 염색 (2) (A Study on the Dyeing Properties of Silk and Cotton Fabrics with Chestnut Bur Extract(2))

  • This paper investigated the dyeability and surface color of silk and cotton fabrics dyed with chustnut bur extract. Some experiments were performed under the various dyeing conditions such as dyeing temperature, dyeing time, repetition of dyeing, dyeing pH, mordanting condition, washing fastness and light fastness with silk and cotton fabrics. The results obtained were as follows 1. △E value was increased when dyeing temperature and time was higher, value of munsell was shifted from Yellow to Yellow-Red at hither dyeing temperature and time in silk and cotton fabrics. 2. Optimal dyeing pH was increased with acidity of dyeing solution in silk and cotton fabrics, and repetition of dyeing did not change the dye-uptake. 3. When mordanting time and temperature was higher, △E value was larger in silk and cotton fabrics. Silk and cotton fabrics with Fe-premordanting treatment had best dyeability, but treatment with Sn-mordanting was worst. 4. Washing fastness and light fastness was excellent in various dyeing condition at silk fabric but cotton was without practical use.

울금 분말을 이용한 우피의 천연염색 (Natural Dyeability of Cow leather dyeing with Turmeric powder)

  • Dyeing properties of cow leather was investigated with Tumeric powder. The effects of dyeing conditions, mordanting conditions, color change, and color fastnesses were studied. The results were as follows. The dye uptake increased as dye concentration, dyeing temperature, and bath ratio increased. In the effect of dyeing time, the highest dye uptakes showed at 20 minutes and decreased after that point. Pre mordanting was more effective than the post mordanting, and the dye uptakes improved all mordanted fabrics. The highest K/S values showed in pre-Al sample, and the lowest K/S values showed in post-Cu one. The values of Hunter on the samples were more changeable $L^*$ and $b^*$ than $a^*$, and all samples showed Yellow color in Munsell value. But the mordanting methods and mordanting agents were not significant in the color changes. The light fastness of dyed samples showed 1 grade, the dry cleaning and abrasion fastnesses did not improved except post-Fe wet sample.

색채활용교육의 역량강화를 위한 단계별 표준색표집의 제작 연구 (Manufacture Research of Gradual Standard Color Chart for the Capacity of Reinforcement of Practical Color Coordinate Education)

  • This research designed usable standard color chart which was planned by hue and tone color system. This research studied 5 types standard color chart by designed tone map and preceding research. "Basic Color Chart 14 Colors" was planned for kindergarteners. "Primary Color Chart 63 Colors" was planned for schoolboys. "Middle Grade Color Chart 114 Colors" was planned for junior high school students. "High Grade Color Chart 152 Colors" was planned for senior high school students. "Hue and Tone 205 Colors" was planned for university students and general publics. These 5 types standard color chart were produced the trial color coordinate card and attached the Munsell notation which could reappear the spare color paper when needed. These 5 types standard color chart would be offered the data base for efficient color coordinate education as school age.
