  • We propose a multifunctional power line compensator (PLC) which can individually compensate multiple impediments at the same time. The PLC has the flexibility to share power to each compensation according to commands, this improving the working rate. We constructed a 100kVA PLC model including a controller with digital signal processor (DSP) to realize a multifunctional compensation were obtained.

  • This paper proposes the leader-follower based formation control method for multiple mobile robots. The controller is designed using the measurements of the follower robot such as the relative distance and angle between the leader and the follower. This means that the follower robot does not require the information of the leader robot while keeping the desired formation. Therefore, the proposed control method can reduce the communication loss and the cost for hardware. From Lyapunov stability theory, it is shown that all error signals in the closed-loop system are uniformly ultimately bounded. Finally, simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control system.

Enhanced Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation Algorithm in Ethernet Passive Optical Networks

  • As broadband access is evolving from digital subscriber lines to optical access networks, Ethernet passive optical networks (EPONs) are considered a promising solution for next generation broadband access. The point-to-multipoint topology of EPONs requires a time-division multiple access MAC protocol for upstream transmission. In this paper, we propose a new enhanced dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm with fairness called EFDBA for multiple services over EPONs. The proposed algorithm is composed of a fairness counter controller and a fairness system buffer in the optical line terminal. The EFDBA algorithm with fairness can provide increased capability and efficient resource allocation in an EPON system. In the proposed EFDBA algorithm, the optical line termination allocates bandwidth to the optical network units in proportion to the fairness weighting counter number associated with their class and queue length. The proposed algorithm provides efficient resource utilization by reducing the unused remaining bandwidth made by idle state optical network units.

  • Application of the filtered-x Least Mean Square(LMS) adaptive filter to active noise control requires to estimate the transfer characteristics between the output and the error signal of the adaptive controller. In this paper, we derive the filtered-x adaptive noise control algorithm and analyze its convergence behavior when the acoustic noise consists of multiple sinusoids. The results of the convergence analysis of the filtered-x LMS algorithm indicate that the effects of the parameter estimation inaccuracy on the convergence behavior of the algorithm are characterized by two distinct components Phase estimation error and estimated gain. In particular, the convergence is shown to be strongly affected by the accuracy of the phase response estimate. Simulation results are presented to support the theoretical convergence analysis.

  • In this paper, the architecture of a dataflow logic solving processor for programmable logic controller is proposed. As the proposed DFLSP(dataflow logic solving processor) is designed based on the dataflow architecture, it has inherently concurrent processing and data synchronization capabilities. And also, it has dynamic load balancing capabilites which increases the utilization of the whole system that can he hardly implemented in other multiprocessor system. The re-matching unit gets rid of unnecessary matching cycles in LSU, which increases the performance of LSU and allows the multiple input multiple output operations.

  • In this paper we deal with a cell planning issue arisen in a CDMA based multicast network. In a CDMA based wireless network, a terminal can significantly reduce the bit error rate via the cohesion of data streams from multiple base stations. In this case, multiple base stations have to be operated according to a common time line. The cells whose base stations are operated as such are called soft-combined cells. Therefore, a terminal can take advantage of error rate reduction, if the terminal is in a soft-combined cell and at least one neighboring cell is also soft-combined. However, as soft-combining operation gives heavy burden to the network controller, the limited number of cells can be soft-combined. Our problem us to find a limited number of soft-combined cells such that the benefit of the soft-combining operation is maximized.

  • 최근에 증가한 무인항공기(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, UAV) 활용에 따라 다양한 UAV 제어 방법이 도입되고 있다. 일반적으로는 UAV 조종기를 통해 직접 제어하는 방법이 많이 활용되고 있다. 하지만, 세밀한 UAV 제어를 위해서는 직관적인 사용자 인터페이스가 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 다수개의 Myo로 UAV를 제어하는 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위해서 기 개발된 지상관계시스템을 통해 Myo로 UAV를 제어하는 방법을 소개한다. 체감형 인터페이스로 UAV를 제어함으로써 직관적인 제어가 가능하다.

  • This paper presents a synchronizing adaptive feedforward control for clamping servomechanism of injection molding machines. Based on MBS, virtual design model has been developed for a direct forcing clamping mechanism. A synchronizing controller is designed and combined with adaptive feedforward control to accommodate mismatches between the real plant and the linear plant model used. From tracking control simulations, it is shown that significant reduction in position tracking error is achieved through the use of proposed control scheme.

구조 소음저감을 위한 격자 패널의 다중 진동제어 (Multiple Vibration Control of a Trim Panel to Reduce Structure-borne Noise)

  • 본 연구에서는 격자패널을 통한 소음전달을 감소시키기 위하여 외부 구조적 가진으로부터 유발된 경량 패널의 진동을 능동 제어하는 기법을 기술한다. 최적 되먹임제어기와 적응 앞먹임제어기가 결합된 혼합형 제어기가 진동제어기로 사용된다. 되먹임제어기는 주파수 영역의 모델규명법에 의해 추출된 다중 입/출력 패널진동계 모델에 대하여 LQG 최적기법을 이용하여 감쇠능을 향상시키도록 설계된다. 앞먹임제어기는 되먹임 궤환의 결합효과를 자동적으로 보정할 수 있는 제안된 학습법칙에 기초하여 패널의 잔류진동이 최소가 되도록 적응된다. 45.7${\times}$45.7${\times}$2.54 ${cm^3}$ 벌집형상의 고강도 패널, 4개의 관성형 구동기 및 이산신호처리장치에 의해 구현된 패널 진동계에 대한 능동제어 실험을 수행해 본 결과 600Hz 주파수대역에 대한 12dB 진동저감이 이루어 질 수 있었다.

엘리베이터 군제어를 위한 예견퍼지 제어알고리즘 (A predictive fuzzy control algorithm for elevator group control)

  • In this paper, a predictive fuzzy control algorithm to supervise the elevator system with plural elevator cars is proposed and its performance is evaluated. Elevator group controller must decide the service elevator for a registered hall call to satisfy the multiple control objects. The proposed group control algorithm ensures the efficient operations of the group cars and provides the improved level of service, coping with multiple control objects and uncertainty of system state. The feasibility of the proposed control algorithm is evaluated by simulation on computer.
