This paper proposes an MAC protocol for fair packet data services in stoned CDMA system. In slotted CDMA system, the packets transmitted in the same slot act as multiple access interference, so that unsuccessful packet transmissions are entirely caused by multiple access interference. Therefore, in order to get the optimal system throughput, the number of simultaneously transmitted Packets should be kept at a proper level. In the proposed protocol, the base station calculates the new and retransmitted packet transmission probability of mobile stations according to the offered load and then broadcasts these probabilities. Mobile stations, which have a packet, attempt to transmit packet with the received probabilities. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can offer better system throughput than the conventional scheme, and guarantee a good fairness among all mobile stations regardless of the offered load.
The results of performance analysis by adopting the channel scenarios characterized as Weibull fading for an multicarrierdirect sequence-coded division multiple access (MC-DS-CDMA) system are proposed in this investigation. On the other hand, an approximate simple expression with the criterion of bit error rate (BER) versus signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) method is derived for an MC-DS-CDMA system combining with maximal ratio combining (MRC) diversity based on the moment generating function (MGF) formula of Weibull statistics, and it associates with an alternative expression of Gaussian Q-function. Besides, the other point of view on the BER performance evaluation of an MC-DS-CDMA system is not only the assumption of both single-user and multi-user cases applied, but the phenomena of partial band interference (PBI) is also included. Moreover, in order to validate the accuracy in the derived formulas, some of the system parameters, such as Weibull fading parameter (${\beta}$), user number (K), spreading chip number (N), branch number (L), and the PBI (JSR) values, etc., are compared with each other in the numerical results. To the best of author's knowledge, it is a brand new idea which proposes the evaluation of the system performance for an MC-DS-CDMA system over the point of view with Weibull fading channel.

In a frequency selective fading channel, Pre-Rake diversity technique provides simple receiver structure and sufficient diversity effect for mobile terminals. However, conventional Pre-Rake systems are more severely affected than Rake systems with regard to multiple access interference since the number of multipaths received at the mobile unit is nearly twice that of the Rake systems. In order to overcome the problem, a Pre-Rake TDD-CDMA system using zero correlation duration (ZCD) spreading code is proposed. Modified ZCD codes including guard interval (GI) is also proposed and the performance is evaluated by computer simulation under the condition of various channel environment.
The existing mobile communication system called DS/CDMA system, which is serviced widely nowadays, has some problems such as the severe ISI and multiple access interferences under the multi-path fading channel when applied to high-speed data transmission like multimedia transmission. To compensate these problems, we propose a sub-code multi-code hybrid DS/FH (Frequency Hopping) SS (Spread Spectrum) System by combining the multi-code system that restrains the multiple access interference with the hybrid DS/FH SS technique that reduces ISI(Intersymbol Interference) effect for high-speed transmission. Moreover, we implement and propose the sub-code technique to remedy the problems of the generic multi-code system. To verify the performance of the proposed system, the computer simulations are executed under the various channel environments.

As the number of mobile devices has been increasing tremendously, system capacity should be enlarged in future next generation communication, such as the fifth-generation (5G) and beyond 5G (B5G) mobile networks. For such future networks, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has been considered as promising multiple access technology. In this paper, to reduce both latency and complexity in existing NOMA, we propose non-successive interference cancellation (SIC) NOMA with asymmetric binary pulse amplitude modulation (2PAM), nearly without bit-error rate (BER) loss. First, we derive the closed form of BER expressions for non-SIC NOMA with asymmetric 2PAM, especially under Rayleigh fading channels. Then, it is shown that the BER performance of the stronger channel user who is supposed to perform SIC in conventional NOMA can be nearly achieved by the proposed non-SIC NOMA with asymmetric 2PAM, especially without SIC. Furthermore, we also show that the BER performance of the weaker channel user in conventional NOMA can be more closely achieved by the proposed non-SIC NOMA with asymmetric 2PAM. These BERs are shown to be achieved over the part of the power allocation range, which is consistent with the NOMA principle of user fairness. As a result, the non-SIC NOMA scheme with asymmetric 2PAM could be considered as a promising NOMA scheme toward next generation communication.

In this article, we proposed a new interference canceller using the adaptive algorithm. We designed constant modulus algorithm-correlation normailized least mean square (CMA-CNLMS) for wireless system. This structure is normalized LMS algorithm using correlation between the desired and input signal for cancelling the interference signals in the wideband code division multiple access (WCDMA) system. We showed that the proposed algorithm could improve the Mean Square Error (MSE) performance of LMS algorithm. MATLAB (Matrix Laboratory) is employed to analyze the proposed algorithm and to compare it with the experimental results. The MSE value of the LMS with mu=0.0001 was measured as - 12.5 dB, and that of the proposed algorithm was -19.5 dB which showed an improvement of 7dB.
In this thesis, we analyze performance related to reduction scheme of inter-cell interference causing serious problems in portable internet system. Frequency reusing factor(FUF) is 1 in portable internet system, and it means that a adjacent cell uses same frequency band. This channel environment raises inter-cell interference problem, which provokes serious problems related to system performance and channel capacity. Consequently, it affects deterioration in system performance as a whole. We analyze inter-cell interference when appling a various schemes such as (DCA)Dynamic Channel Allocation, CS(Channel Segregation), IDMA(Interleave Division Multiple Access), FH-OFDM, CRSA(Conceptual Random Subcarrier Allocation), and HDD

In multicellular wireless networks, intercell interference limits system performance, especially cell edge user performance. One promising approach to solve this problem is the intercell interference coordination (ICIC) scheme. In this paper, we propose a new ICIC scheme based on a resource partitioning approach to enhance cell edge user performance in a wireless multicellular system. The most important feature of the proposed scheme is that the algorithm is performed at each base station in a distributed manner and therefore minimizes the required information exchange between neighboring base stations. The proposed scheme has benefits in a practical environment where the traffic load distribution is not uniform among base stations and the backhaul capacity between the base stations is limited.

We propose a new type of OFDM-CDMA scheme which allows large inter-user timing offset using zero correlation zone(ZCZ) code in conjunction with block spreading technique. Moreover to maximize spectral efficiency, the proposed OFDMA does not have guard time(GT). This is opposite to the trends in the conventional schemes where GT are supposed to be larger to allow larger inter-user timing offset. It is remarkable that the proposed GT-free OFDM-CDMA scheme completely cancels inter-user interference in the multipath fading simply by despreading process. This inter-user interference-free feature still remains even there exist inter-user timing offsets as large as multiple OFDM symbols. Although the self-user interference exists due to no GT, it can be effectively suppressed by simple successive interference cancellation(SIC) from the first symbol in spread block as it is free from inter symbol interference(ISI).

The random access systems, with retransmission diversity (RD) employment, over large random spreading code division multiple access (CDMA) channel subject to fading is investigated, under the assumption of infinite number of users and infinite spreading gain with their ratio converging to a constant. The low bound of the signal to interference and noise ratio (SINR) is shown to converge almost surely to a constant. The throughput, spectrum efficiency and energy efficiency in the dominating systems are obtained. The analytical results are confirmed by simulations. We find that in high traffic loads the throughput with fading is higher than that without. When the energy efficiency increases, the spectrum efficiency tends to two contrary values due to SNR increases or decreases. For the ordinary stable systems, the stability region is shown to shrink as the traffic increases and enlarge with RD employment.
