  • This paper analyzes the four game physics engines in terms of real time techniques. Real time physics is the technology that simplifies the physics-based simulation to apply for the real time applications such as game. Our study includes two commercial physics engines, Havok's Physics SDK and NVIDIA's PhysX SDK, and two open source projects, Open Dynamics Engine and Bullet physics engine. As a result, most of them covers rigid body dynamics and some include either deformable body simulation or fluids simulation, or both. For real time simulation, they adopt the simplified numerical methods, the effective in collision detection/response, and also use the parallel processing hardwares, i.e., multi core CPU, Physics processing unit(PPU), or graphics processing unit(GPU).

  • In the current online game field, many studies on the realization of AI have been carried out. It is, however, very hard to apply smart AI to the online games due to the limited use of resources. The Fuzzy extension method this thesis presents is suitable to online games because it causes less loads in the system and makes it possible to realize more human-like AI. To realize this kind of AI, this paper suggests AI system design methods suitable to fuzzy-based online game and presents practical plans to apply them through the produced demos.

  • Game Software is the high-value industry that is based on fun elements. To develop Game Software successfully, the method for systematically classifying and searching about fun elements needs. However, fun elements of game are still made by game developers 'experience', and have ambiguities about what are considered at development phase because of difference between viewpoints and definitions about them. We structured 9 groups and 34 fun elements after that 50 fun elements elicited from existing literature are classifies and refines by statistical analysis. And we found a omitted area with the result that the classified elements are applied to Roger Callois's Theory. Finally, we elicited new elements of omitted areas from web site and searched 1 group and 4 fun elements.

  • Online games are virtual space where it connects individual users through network connection to offer enjoyment of play games and game developer who service online games have to develop new contents and provide them to users to extend life of their service. Typically, in order to update new contents, all service companies have maintenance schedule to stop the game service for a while to update both server and client applications. Usually this process takes quite amount of time and users do not have any other choice but disconnected from server and wait until it is over. The purpose of this thesis is to describe the advantages of new design system which will allows users to continue to play the game even during the update. The main focus of this design is to make users feel more convenience in online gaming experience by move client from previous server to new server while users are still playing. If they can to connect current client with new server without any certificate validation process while users information from the client can automatically pass through to the new server, users may not need to experience maintenance for new contents update.

  • This paper proposes interactive game elements for children : contents, design, sound, gesture recognition, and speech recognition. Interactive games for early children must use the contents which reflect the educational needs and the design elements which are all bright, friendly, and simple to use. Also the games should consider the background music which is familiar with children and the narration which make easy to play the games. In gesture recognition and speech recognition, the interactive games must use gesture and voice data which hits to the age of the game user. Also, this paper introduces the development process for the interactive skipping game and applies the child-oriented contents, gestures, and voices to the game.

  • This paper studied various low power structures of texture caches for mobile 3D graphics accelerator to reduce the memory latency of texture data. Also the paper designed the texture cache with the variable threshold values of power mode transition according to the filtering algorithms. In the trace driven simulation, we compared the performance of those structures using Quake game engine as the benchmark. Also the algorithm was proposed and verified by the simulation, which has variable threshold values of power mode transitions according to the selected texture filtering method.

  • The commensurate number of the attacks and infringement targeting a vulnerability of the game service has been increasing constantly, due to the dramatic growth and expansion of the impact of the game industry. However, there exist no subsequent researches for the differentiated technology, which is to prevent the reverse function of the game service. Therefore, in this study, we examined the current status of infringement toward online game services which are provided in the market currently and designed the proper technical measures for a manipulation of the game service which is the most vulnerable part. We have encrypted an execution file and decrypted it in real time process. Furthermore, we conducted debugging, disassemble, and prevented a its own memory dump, also concealed the information to overcome the module dependency to preclude a manipulation.

  • Genshin Impact is an open-world action role-playing game launched by miHoYo in 2020 and has been released on multiple platforms. Due to the excellent character design, it has received widespread attention once it was released, and it has been ranked in the top 10 best-selling lists in several countries after a few weeks of launch. This article will first analyze the map design of the game's open world, and what elements are used on the game map to allow players to immerse themselves in it. Then, in the gameplay of the game, a rich and varied combat system is formed by using the relationship between the elements to restrain each other. There is also a card drawing system added to it, which makes the acquisition of characters full of randomness and allows more players to participate in it. It is concluded that the novel design and rich and varied play methods have made the game Genshin Impact high in popularity, occupying the forefront of the app download list for a long time.

  • Since 2017, the application of VR technology in the game field has become more and more extensive, and more and more scholars have conducted research on VR games, especially VR horror games. This article will conduct research on VR horror games and scrolling scroll games through comparative analysis, and believes that VR horror games are much stronger than side scrolling scrolling games in terms of immersion. However, due to its unique flat third-person perspective, completely different operation methods and the existence of 'the fourth wall in side-scrolling horror games, Players can clearly realize that they are in an absolutely safe environment, and that they are just manipulators of game characters, not experiencers of terrorist events, so players will not receive excessive fright. Therefore, this article believes that the number of players who like side-scrolling horror games with certain horror elements is greater than the number of players who like pure VR horror games. Many traditional games in this paper have their own advantages in many aspects. For example, many traditional games such as horizontal games also have good development prospects in the future. We should promote the research on games in the academic community from multiple angles, not limited to popular VR games.

  • The evolution of technology has lead gaming playable in augmented reality and more games are developed only for augmented reality. There are mainly no supportive reasons for game designed in non-augmented reality and transforms to augmented reality. Genre of game played in augmented reality is always one of the defined game genres. In this paper, transformation process and effects of mobile games to augmented reality is discussed. Augmented reality game is recommended for mobile devices due to its portability. Modification for mobile games transformation including way of game rendering, game controlling, camera view controlling and game environment design are discussed. User experience is affected after the game transformed to augmented reality because of the differences in game controlling. The presence of game in real world is increased due to the usage of actual view in game playing.
