Novel Flyback ZVS Multi Resonant Converter (새로운 플라이백 영전압 스위칭 다중공진형 컨버터)

  • The multi-resonant converter minimizes the parasitic oscillations using the resonant tank circuit absorbed parasitic reactances in a converter. So the converter can be operated at a high frequency and it provides a high efficiency because the switching power losses are reduced effectively. However, the high resonant voltage stress of semiconductors leads to the conduction loss. In this paper, it is proposed the novel flyback multi-resonant converter. The converter input is divided by two series input capacitors. And also the resonant stress is reduced to 2-3 times input voltage without any complexity and it provides the various circuit schemes in lots of applications. The proposed converters are verified through simulation and experiment.

  • An input estimation technique is derived in multi-sensor environment. The proposed approach distribute the computational burden of input estimation to each local sensor and fusion center without loss of its optimality. The performances of proposed method in 2-sensor system are compared with those in single sensor system. Simulation results show that a reliable maneuvering target tracking system can be constructed in multi-sensor environment via proposed approach.

Single Input Multi Output DC/DC Converter: An Approach to Voltage Balancing in Multilevel Inverter

  • This paper presents a new DC/AC multilevel converter. This configuration uses single DC sources. The proposed converter has two stages. The first stage is a DC/DC converter that can produce several DC-links in the output. The DC/DC converter is one type of boost converter and uses single inductor. The second stage is a multilevel inverter with several capacitor links. In this paper, one single input multi output DC-DC converter is used in order to voltage balancing on multilevel converter. In addition, as compare to traditional multilevel inverter, presented DC/AC multilevel converter has less on-state voltage drop and conduction losses. Finally, in order to verify the theoretical issues, simulation and experimental results are presented.

  • The aim of this paper is to identify Korean agricultural and agri-manufacturing cluster using a multi-regional input-output model. This paper derives a representative set of five agricultural and agri-manufacturing clusters in Korea in terms of spatial and industrial interdependency. The results show that agriculture and agri-manufacturing clusters agglomerated in Seoul Metropolitan Area and Chungcheong Area are linked both production and manufacture functions, whereas Gangwon Area is more focused on production and Jeolla Area is more concentrated on manufacture.

Multi-task learning with contextual hierarchical attention for Korean coreference resolution

  • Coreference resolution is a task in discourse analysis that links several headwords used in any document object. We suggest pointer networks-based coreference resolution for Korean using multi-task learning (MTL) with an attention mechanism for a hierarchical structure. As Korean is a head-final language, the head can easily be found. Our model learns the distribution by referring to the same entity position and utilizes a pointer network to conduct coreference resolution depending on the input headword. As the input is a document, the input sequence is very long. Thus, the core idea is to learn the word- and sentence-level distributions in parallel with MTL, while using a shared representation to address the long sequence problem. The suggested technique is used to generate word representations for Korean based on contextual information using pre-trained language models for Korean. In the same experimental conditions, our model performed roughly 1.8% better on CoNLL F1 than previous research without hierarchical structure.

  • The Monte Carlo (MC) method has become an indispensable part of the nuclear radiation research field. Several widely used and well-known MC packages were developed for simulation of radiation transport and interaction with matter. All these MC packages require users to prepare an input script. The input script can become lengthy for complex models. The process of preparing these input scripts is time-consuming and error-prone. In the present work, we have developed an open-source GUI computer program for modelling radiation transport and interaction in multi-segmented slab phantoms using grid-based system for the widely used PHITS MC package. The developed tools would be useful for future users of PHITS MC package and particularly inexperienced users. The present program is distributed under GPL license and all users can freely download, modify and redistribute the program without any restrictions.

  • In this paper. we consider the multi-view video technology. The technology, which is a field of 3-Dimensional video processing, enables the user to watch the various view-point of video. We expect that the technology will be applicable to a lot of video services. The economic effects of new technology are very important concern for the technology developer and the technology development policy makers. We, therefore. propose a general method for the economic repercussion effects of the multi-view video technology. The method is based on the expert opinion and input-output analysis. The results for the multi-view video technology are included.

A Study on the Angular Distortion Prediction of Double Sided Multi-pass Butt Weldment (다층 양면 개선 맞대기 용접부의 각 변형 예측에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to establish the predictive method of angular distortion of the double-sided multi-pass butt weldment achieve it, the behavior of angular distortion in the butt weldment were investigated using comprehensive finite element analyses and experiments. The angular distortion in the multi-pass butt weldment strongly depends on the welding heat input(Q) and the effective bending rigidity of the weld throat. The effective bending rigidity of the first welding pass on the backing side was defined as the function of dimensionless parameter(k) and a bending rigidity of bead-on-plate weldment. Based on the results, the predictive equation for angular distortion of multi-pass butt weldment was proposed and verified by experiments.

  • In this paper, we propose a multiple dual-polarized antenna system for multi-user transmission in line-of-sight (LoS) dominant channel environments. By exploiting space and polarization resources efficiently, the proposed system achieves a higher sum rate than the existing multi-user multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) system with uni-polarized antennas.
