Impact of Multi-GNSS Measurements on Baseline Processing for Control Surveying Applications

  • A series of experiments have been carried out by using National Geographic Information Institute(NGII)'s Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) data with various strategies to analyze the impact of multi-GNSS measurements on baseline processing. The results of baseline processing were compared in terms of ambiguity fixing rate, precision, and hypothesis tests were conducted to confirm the statistical difference. The combination of multi-GNSS measurements has helped to improve ambiguity fixing rate, especially under harsh positioning environments. Combination of GPS, Galileo, BeiDou could get better precision than that of GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and adding QZSS made the baseline solution's vertical component more precisely. The hypothesis tests have statistically confirmed that the inclusion of the multi-GNSS in the baseline processing enables not only to reduce field observation time length but also to enhance the solution's precision. However, it is of interest to notice that results of the baseline solution are dependent upon the software used. Hence, comprehensive studies should be performed shortly to derive the best practice to select the appropriate software.

A Study on Effective Satellite Selection Method for Multi-Constellation GNSS

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient satellite selection method for multi-constellation GNSS. The number of visible satellites has increased dramatically recently due to multi-constellation GNSS. By the increased availability, the overall GNSS performance can be improved. Whereas, due to the increase of the number of visible satellites, the computational burden in implementing advanced processing such as integer ambiguity resolution and fault detection can be increased considerably. As widely known, the optimal satellite selection method requires very large computational burden and its real-time implementation is practically impossible. To reduce computational burden, several sub-optimal but efficient satellite selection methods have been proposed recently. However, these methods are prone to the local optimum problem and do not fully utilize the information redundancy between different constellation systems. To solve this problem, the proposed method utilizes the inter-system biases and geometric assignments. As a result, the proposed method can be implemented in real-time, avoids the local optimum problem, and does not exclude any single-satellite constellation. The performance of the proposed method is compared with the optimal method and two popular sub-optimal methods by a simulation and an experiment.

안드로이드 스마트폰의 이중 주파수 GNSS 의사거리 기반 해상 측위정확도 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of Multi-GNSS Positioning Accuracy with Code Pseudorange of Dual-Frequency Android Smartphone in Maritime Environment)

  • 안드로이드 기반 스마트폰은 GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) 신호를 수신하여 위치를 결정하고, GNSS 원시계측정보를 사용자에게 제공하고 있다. 현재까지 안드로이드 기기에서 안드로이드 9.0 기준으로 가용한 다중 GNSS 신호는 GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS를 포함하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 가용한 다중 GNSS 신호를 이용하여, 해상 이용자를 위한 이중 주파수 안드로이드 스마트폰의 의사거리 기반 다중 GNSS 측위정확도 성능을 비교 분석하였다. 선박에 이주파 수신이 가능한 스마트폰을 설치하고, 해상 환경에서의 멀티 GNSS 원시정보를 계측하여 스마트기기별, GNSS 별, 의사거리 기반 이주파 측위성능 결과를 비교하였다. 더 나아가 본 측위 성능 결과가 해양 항법 이용자를 위한 IMO의 HEA 요구성능을 충족할 수 있을지에 대해 분석하였다. 해상 실험 결과로부터 이주파 GNSS 신호를 지원하는 스마트폰의 경우 6미터(95%) 정도의 측위정확도를 얻을 수 있었으며, IMO에서 요구하는 10미터 이내의 HEA 측위정확도 성능을 달성할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • This paper presents a 3D carrier-smoothed GNSS/DR (Global Navigation Satellite System/Dead Reckoning) integrated system for precise ground-vehicle trajectory estimation. For precise DR navigation on sloping roads, the AHRS (Attitude Heading Reference System) methodology is employed. By combining the integrated carrier phase of GNSS and DR sensor measurements, a vehicle trajectory with an accuracy of less than 20cm is obtained even when cycle slip or change of visibility occur. In order to supplement the weak GNSS environment with DR successfully, the DR sensor is precisely compensated for using GNSS Doppler measurements when GNSS visibility is good. By integrating a multi-GNSS receiver with low-cost IMU, a precise 3D navigation system for land vehicles is proposed in this paper. For real-time implementation, a decoupled Kalman filter is employed in the integrated system. Through field experiments, the performance of the proposed system is verified in various road environments, including sloping roads, good-visibility areas, high multi-path areas, and under-ground parking areas.

  • 광역보정시스템(WA-DGNSS; wide area differential GNSS)의 정확성을 향상시키기 위해서는 GPS 오차 요인 중 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 전리층 지연 오차에 대한 추정 성능이 향상되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 전리층 지연 추정 성능 향상을 위해 미국의 GPS, 러시아의 GLONASS, 유럽의 Galileo와 같은 각 국의 다양한 위성항법시스템을 통합하여 광역보정시스템 알고리즘에 적용해보았다. 그리고 기준국 수를 증가시키면서 한반도 지역의 전리층 지연 추정 성능을 시뮬레이션을 통해 분석해보았다. 그 결과 추정에 사용한 측정치의 수가 비슷함에도 불구하고 기준국 수를 증가시키기보다는 다중 위성항법을 사용하는 것이 전리층 지연 추정 성능 향상에 더 효과적임을 확인하였다. 본 논문의 결과는 단일 주파수 SBAS (satellite based augmentation system) 사용자의 전리층 지연 추정 성능을 향상시키기 위한 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

A Performance Analysis of Multi-GNSS Receiver with Various Intermediate Frequency Plans Using Single RF Front-end

  • In this study, to design a multi-GNSS receiver using single RF front-end, the receiving performances for various frequency plans were evaluated. For the fair evaluation and comparison of different frequency plans, the same signal needs to be received at the same time. For this purpose, two synchronized RF front-ends were configured using USRP X310, and PC-based software was implemented so that the quality of the digital IF signal received at each front-end could be evaluated. The software consisted of USRP control, signal reception, signal acquisition, signal tracking, and C/N0 estimation function. Using the implemented software and USRP-based hardware, the signal receiving performances for various frequency plans, such as the signal attenuation status, overlapping of different systems, and the use of imaginary or real signal, were evaluated based on the C/N0 value. The results of the receiving performance measurement for the various frequency plans suggested in this study would be useful reference data for the design of a multi-GNSS receiver in the future.

MATLAB GUI 기반 다중 위성군 Network RTK MAC 보정정보 생성 소프트웨어 개발 (Development of MATLAB GUI Based Software for Generating Multi-GNSS Network RTK MAC Correction)

  • 본 논문에서는 MATLAB GUI 기반으로 개발된 다중 위성군 network RTK MAC 보정정보 생성 소프트웨어에 대해서 소개한다. 해당 소프트웨어는 GPS와 GLONASS, Galileo를 포함한 다중 위성군의 보정정보를 생성하는 알고리즘의 유효성을 평가하기 위해 시뮬레이션 데이터 기반 후처리 소프트웨어로 개발되었다. 소프트웨어 구동 결과 다중 위성군의 시스템별 network RTK 보정정보가 MATLAB 파일 형식으로 출력된다. 본 논문에서는 개발된 소프트웨어의 성능을 평가하기 위해 소프트웨어를 통해 생성된 보정정보를 사용자에게 적용한 후 잔여 오차를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 사용자 잔여 오차의 크기가 10 cm 이하를 유지하는 것을 확인함으로써, 유효한 network RTK 보정정보 생성이 가능함을 확인하였다.

  • GNSS receiver which uses the weak satellite signal is very vulnerable to the intentional jamming or non-intentional electromagnetic interference. It is a very simple method among the use method of GNSS receiver to vary tracking loop bandwidth of satellite signal appropriately as the jamming signal level. In this paper, this anti-jamming performance is experimented and analyzed in the laboratory and the anechoic chamber by the GNSS simulator to generate the satellite signal and the jamming signal generator to generate the jamming signal.

Transparent Conductive Films Composite with Copper Nanoparticle/Graphene Oxide Fabricated by dip Process and Electrospinning

  • We explain a method to fabricate multi-layered transparent conductive films (TCF) using graphene oxide (GO), copper powder and polyurethane (PU) solution. The flexible graphene nanosheets (GNSs) serve as nanoscale connection between conductive copper nanoparticles (CuNps) and PU nanofibers, resulting in a highly flexible TCF. To fabricate conductive films with high transmittance, polyurethane (PU) nanofibers were used for a conductive network consisting of CuNps and GNSs (CuNps-GNSs). In this experiment, copper powder and graphene oxides were mixed in deionized water with the ultrasonication for 2 h. NaBH4 solution is used as a reduction agents of CuNps and GNSs (CuNps-GNSs) under a nitrogen atmosphere in the oil bath at 100% for 24 h to mixed. The purified and dispersed CuNp-GNS were obtained in deionized water, and diluted to a 10wt.% based on the contents of GNSs. Polyurethane (PU) nanofibers on a PET substrate were formed by electrospinning method. PET slides coated with the PU nanofibers were immersed into CuNp-GNS solution for several second, rinsed briefly in deionized water, and dried to obtain self-assembled CuNp-GNS/PU films. The morphology of the multi-layered films were characterized with a field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM, Hitachi S-4700) and atomic force microscope (AFM, PSIA XE-100). The electrical property was analysed by the I-V measurement system and the optical property was measured by the UV/VIS spectroscopy.

도심지역에서의 연도별 다중위성항법 통합성능 예측 (Annual Prediction of Multi-GNSS Navigation Performance in Urban Canyon)

  • 본 논문에서는 2015년을 기준으로 GPS(Global Positioning System) 단독측위 및 통합항법 성능 현황을 분석하고, 2020년까지의 항법성능을 연도별로 예측하였다. 이러한 예측을 위하여 한반도 지역에서 관측할 수 있는 위성항법시스템의 궤도요소 및 궤도정보 설계 값을 이용하여 Matlab을 기반으로 DOP(Dilution Of Precision)관점에서 성능을 예측하였다. 통합항법의 경우, 항법시스템 간의 시계오차 추정을 위해 시각오프셋 결정 알고리즘을 고려해야 하는데, 위성항법 메시지 기반 추정방식과 사용자가 직접 추정하는 두 가지 방법으로 나누어 분석하였다. 또한 현실감 있는 시뮬레이션 수행을 위하여 3차원 지도정보를 사용하였다. 본 시뮬레이션결과는 도심지역에서의 항법성능을 예측할 수 있는 지표로 활용될 것이라 기대된다.
