  • In this study, the rise throughput and the stability in fabrication of device can be obtained by applying of CMP process to STI structure in 0.l8um semiconductor device. Through reverse moat pattern process, reduced moat density at high moat density, STI CMP process with low selectivity could be to fit polish uniformity between low moat density and high moat density. Because this reason, in-situ motor current end point detection method is not fit to the current EPD technology with the reverse moat pattern. But we use HSS without reverse moat pattern on STI CMP and take end point current sensing signal.[1] To analyze sensing signal and test extracted signal, we can to adjust wafer difference within $110{\AA}$.

  • In order to control DC motors for electric cars by chopper system, four quadrant operations - forward powering, forward regenerative braking, reverse powering, reverse regenerative braking - are needed. For the four quadrant operations, the separately - excited DC motors are used in this study. The conversion of each quadrant operation has been obtained by 1) adopting the two phase chopper system with combined output for the armature control, and 2) the single phase chopper system for the field control.

  • The effects of glycine on morphine-induced hyperactivity, reverse tolerance and postsynaptic dopamine receptor supersensitivity in mice was examined. A single administration of morphine (10 mg/kg, s.c.) induced hyperactivity as measured in mice. The morphine-induced hyperactivity was inhibited by pretreatment with glycine (100, 200 and 400 mg/kg, i.p.). In addition, it was found repeated administration of morphine (10 mg/kg, s.c.) to mice daily for 6 days caused an increase in motor activity which could be induced by a subsequent morphine dose, an effect known as reverse tolerance or sensitization. Glycine (100, 200 and 400 rng/kg, i.p.) also inhibited morphine-induced reverse tolerance. Mice that had received 7 daily repeated administrations of morphine also developed postsynaptic dopamine receptor supersensitivity, as shown by enhanced ambulatory activity after administration of apomorphine (2 mg/kg, s.c.). Glycine inhibited the development of postsynaptic dopamine receptor supersensitivity induced by repeated administration of morphine. It is suggested that the inhibitory effects of glycine might be mediated by dopaminergic (DAergic) transmission. Accordingly, the inhibition by glycine of the morphine-induced hyperactivity, reverse tolerance and dopamine receptor supersensitivity suggests that glycine might be useful for the treatment of morphine addiction.

  • This paper includes AC servo motor speed control usig the predictive control strategy. Generally, AC servo motor control should have the fast response characteristics. For the issue, sliding mode control and PID control have been applied. However, the former has the speed ripple response due to the chattering and the latter requires the many trial efforts. Originally, the predictive control which has been used in process control area does not need the priori knowledge for the application system and it is easy to compute the optimal gain with the prediction. In this paper, the TMS320C31 DSP pocessor is used for AC motor control with fst dynamics and the tuning guid-line for the parameters of the predictive control algorithm is given in order to reduce the computation load. Also, the actuator saturationis implemented uisngthe QP(Quadratic Programming) method and the transient response is improved by the identified intertia coefficient when AC motor is drived at forward/reverse rotation.

  • This paper aims to compare the performance of three phase induction motor drives using Five Leg Inverter (FLI) and Three Leg Inverter (TLI) configurations. An Indirect Field Oriented Control (IFOC) method using a TLI is well established and incorporated for high performance speed drives in various industries. The FLI dual motor drive system on the other hand shows good workability in the independent control of two induction motor drives simultaneously. In this experiment, the IFOC method is utilized for both drive systems, and Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) is used to generate pulses for both inverters. For the FLI, the Double Zero Sequence (DZS) Injection technique is used to generate the modulation signal. The complete experiment setup is done by using a DSpace 1103 controller board. The individual motor performances are analyzed using similar schemes, equipment setups and controller parameter values. The results show similar speed performance response capability between the single motor operation using a TLI system and the two motor operation using a FLI system based on the variable speed range either in forward or reverse operation. They also show similar load rejection abilities. However, the single motor with a TLI has a better power quality aspect such as ripple current and total harmonics distortion (THD).

  • The unscented Kalman filter features a direct transforming process involving unscented transformation for removing the linearization process error that may occur in the extended Kalman filter. This paper proposes a reduced-order unscented Kalman filter for the sensorless control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The proposed method can reduce the computational load without degrading the accuracy compared to the conventional Kalman filters. Moreover, the proposed method can directly estimate the electrical rotor position and speed without a back-electromotive force. The proposed Kalman filter for the sensorless control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor is verified through the simulation and experimentation. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated over a wide range of operations, such as forward and reverse rotations in low and high speeds including the detuning parameters.

  • This paper presents a novel method to detect the rotor position of the BrushLess DC(BLDC) motor at standstill and a start-up method to accelerate the rotor up to a certain speed where the conventional position sensorless control methods based on the back EMF could work reasonably The proposed initial rotor position estimation method is suitable to avoid the temporary reverse rotation or the starting failure. This method can be implemented using only one current sensor at DC link of the inverter. It does not depend on the model of the motor , and it is robust to motor parameter variations. By the proposed method, it is demonstrated experimentally that a stable starting can be achieved even with severe mechanical disturbance.

  • Reconstruction of the upper lateral lip subunit is challenging, and use of several classical local flaps have been previously reported. However, these methods have drawbacks such as visible scarring, anatomic distortion, and functional disability. To obtain satisfactory results, preservation of perioral function is important. We report a case of functional upper lip reconstruction after tumor resection using a reverse facial-submental artery island flap with a reinnervated anterior belly of the digastric muscle (ABDM) without sacrificing the perioral structure. A 73-year-old man presented with basal cell carcinoma on the left upper lip which was widely excised, including the orbicularis oris muscle. The remaining 4 cm × 3.5 cm defect was reconstructed using a reverse facial-submental artery island flap with ipsilateral ABDM. The motor nerve of the ABDM was sutured with the stump of the buccal branch of the ipsilateral facial nerve. The postoperative course was uneventful, and good functional and esthetic recovery were observed at 12-month follow-up. This procedure may be an alternative option for reconstruction of lateral upper lip defects.

  • The electric actuator receives the user's command input signal (open/closed/stop), checks the status of various sensors (valve position, rotational force, motor status, etc.)in the actuator, and controls the motor forward/reverse to open and close the valve. It is a device that outputs the current state of an actuator (valve) and is used in various fields such as dams, power plants, water and sewage facilities, and oil pipeline facilities. If an electric actuator is installed in a power plant and a problem occurs during operation, it can cause a large economic loss, so system reliability is vert important. In this study, in order to increase the safety of the electric actuator, the development of an electric actuator control device capable of setting the ON/OFF time in hardware was conducted to solve the reliability problem that may occur in software. In addition, the electric actuator control device development environment was developed using Xilinx's Spartan7 FPGA and Altium tool.

  • This paper proposes an Electronic Throttle Body (ETB) model considering a non-linearity of DC motor driver which is integrated with a H-bridge and a gate driver. A propagation delay and reverse recovery time of switching components cause non-linear characteristic of DC motor driver. This non-linearity affects not only the amateur voltage of DC motor, but also entire behaviour and parameters of ETB. In order to analyze the behavior of ETB more accurately, this non-linear effect of DC motor driver is modeled. The developed ETB model is validated by use of the step response and ramp response experiments, and it shows relatively accurate results compared with linear DC motor driver model.
