PC기반의 철도 온도환경에 적합한 모니터링 장치 구현 (The implementation of the PC-based monitoring device for railway temperature environmental)

  • 우리나라의 일교차는 커지고 있으며, 기후로 인한 철도 피해와 경제적 손실에 대한 보고로 환경이 열악해지는 것을 알 수 있다. 이러한 상황에서도 철도용 모니터링 장치는 운영과 관리를 지원하기 위해 상시 동작해야 하는 장치다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 COM 기반의 모니터링 장치를 산업용-확장 전자부품을 사용하여 구현 및 제작하였으며, 실제 철도 온도환경에 적합 여부를 시험하였다. 시험을 통해 모니터링 장치의 내한성, 내열성에 대한 검증을 할 수 있었다. 제품에 사용된 부품은 철도산업의 전자제품 개발에 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

스마트폰 기반 산소 결핍 모니터링 장치 (Smartphone-based O2 Deficiency Monitoring Device)

  • $O_2$-deficiency related accidents occur every year and the most effective way to prevent them is to measure $O_2$ concentration in air with a properly-calibrated $O_2$ monitoring device before entering low-$O_2$ areas. An electro-chemical sensor, Texas Instrument gas platform, and iPhone are used to construct a smartphone-based $O_2$ monitoring device. The smartphone based $O_2$ measuring approach offers advantages of small size, accessibility, internet-connectivity, and programmability in comparison to conventional $O_2$ measuring devices. Multiple gas sensors can be conveniently interfaced to single smartphone, allowing for creating a network of gas sensors distributed across workplaces and remote monitoring via existing mobile communication network. To check proper function of the $O_2$ monitoring device the sensor was exposed to shallow and deep human breaths. The readings decreased immediately after being exposed to exhalation and recovered during inhalation to a calibrated level of 20.9%. When readings decreased below a preset warning value of 19.5%, a low $O_2$ warning was successfully activated on the smartphone.

  • 화학공장과 같이 위험지역에 설치된 밸브장치는 폭발의 위험을 방지하기 위해 방화 방폭장치로 밀폐되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 방폭장치로 인해 외부전원장치를 사용할 수 없는 밸브장치에 적외선센서와 Zigbee 센서를 이용하여 위험지역의 밸브의 열림도를 측정하여 개폐여부를 확인하고, 밸브 개폐 작동시간을 로그화하여 운전 관리자가 공장을 관리 통제할 수 있는 저전력 모니터링 시스템을 제안한다. 전력관리기능을 적용하기 위해 개선된 비동기LPL 알고리즘을 적용한 전력제어 릴레이보드를 개발하고, 이를 적용한 방폭형 지능형 밸브시스템과 공장 밸브 개폐모니터링 시스템을 설계하고 이를 구현 및 테스트 하였다.

  • Old people and patients with cardiovascular disease could die of a heart attack in the bath with heated water for a long time. Various researches have been studied to prevent these accidents from happening such as measuring the ECG signal when taking bath. However, these devices are hard to use and the higher price is not easily accepted by the public. In this paper, a low-cost and use-friendly, real time high precision water temperature monitoring device to prevent heart attack in the bath was developed. The device with waterproof design that lets the device can float on the surface of the water, and an accurate way to make water temperature measurement method was proposed by this paper that is immerging the sensor into water with 4cm depth to measure the temperature of underwater. The manufactured device was conducted to two experiments; one was to verify the basic functions of the device, and another one was for compare the proposed device with commercial products for monitoring the water temperature in the bathtub. As the experimental results shown, the proposed device has stable performance for the water temperature measurement and communicating with laptop in wireless.

비대면 환자 간호시스템 적용을 위한 융합기술의 원격 수액모니터링 장치 사용성평가 지표 개발 및 결과 분석 (Development of usability evaluation index of convergence technology remote fluid monitoring device for non-face-to-face patient nursing system application and analysis of results)

  • 비대면 의료시스템의 확대로 간호사의 업무 경감 및 효율성을 높이기 위해서 도입되는 원격수액모니터링 장치의 사용성평가를 수행하였다. 원격 수액 모니터링은 수액 측정시술과 분석, 오차 교정기술, 전송기술 등 다양한 기술이 융복합되어 있다. 사용자가 사용하는 범위와 얻고자 하는 정보, 조절 장치 등 사용범위가 넓으며 제품을 평가하는 요소도 다양하다. 따라서 평가를 통해 제품을 개선하는데 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 원격수액모니터링 시스템장치를 제품의 안정성, 조작성, 만족도의 3개 영역에서 20개의 사용성평가를 실시하여 상용화를 위한 제품개선에 도움을 주고자 정량적인 지표를 개발하였다. 적외선 방식과 로드셀 방식의 수액모니터링 장치를 통해 수행하였으며, 안정성에서는 장치의 폴대고정 등 설치작업에 대해 차이가 있었으며, 조작성과 정확성에 대해서는 높은 만족도를 나타내었다. 제품의 만족도에서는 로드셀 장치의 만족도가 대체로 높게 나타났다.

  • In this paper, web based monitoring systems are implemented for multi-axis force control systems of an intelligence robot. A brief review about the principle of multi-axis force sensors and a method that can reduce the effect of noise signal to sensor performance is presented. A web based monitoring system is implemented by porting Linux at embedded systems which include Xscale processors. A device driver is developed to receive data from multi-axis force sensors in Linux operation systems. To control this device driver, a socket program for web browser is also developed. The experiments are performed to investigate the effectiveness of proposed methods. The experimental results show that the values of force sensors can be monitored by remote PCs.

Wearable Human Health-monitoring Band using Inkjet-printed Flexible Temperature Sensor

  • This paper presents a wearable human health-monitoring band. The band consists of a body temperature detector (BTD) and a hear rate detector (HRD). The BTD and HRD are realized using an inkjet-printed flexible temperature sensor and a commercial heart rate sensor module, respectively. The sensitivity of the fabricated BTD was found to be $-31/^{\circ}C$ with a linearity of 99.82%. The HRD using the commercial heart rate sensor module has a good performance with a standard deviation of 0.85 between the data of a commercial smart watch and the fabricated HRD.

Study on Process Monitoring of Elliptical Vibration Cutting by Utilizing Internal Data in Ultrasonic Elliptical Vibration Device

  • In the present study, monitoring of elliptical vibration cutting process by utilizing internal data in the ultrasonic elliptical vibration device without external sensors such as a dynamometer and displacement sensor is investigated. The internal data utilized here is the change of excitation frequency, i.e. resonant frequency of the device, voltages applied to the piezoelectric actuators composing the device, and electric currents flowing through the actuators. These internal data change automatically in the elliptical vibration control system in order to keep a constant elliptical vibration against the change of the cutting process. Correlativity between the process and the internal data is described by using a vibration model of ultrasonic elliptical vibration cutting and verified by several experiments, i.e. planing and mirror surface finishing of hardened die steel carried out with single crystalline diamond tools. As a result, it is proved that it is possible to estimate the elements of elliptical vibration cutting process, e.g. tool wear and machining load, which are important for stable cutting in such precision machining.

텍스트 네트워크 분석을 통한 환자중앙감시시스템의 사용적합성 평가를 위한 위해요인 분석 (Hazard Analysis for Usability Evaluation of Central Monitoring System through Text Network Analysis)

  • In this study, text network analysis was performed using PMS(Post-Marketing Surveillance) data collected from the FDA's MAUDE(Manufacturer and User Facility Device Experience) database to evaluate the usability of the central monitoring system. Based on the data reported from January 1, 2021 to June 30, 2023, keywords related to the central monitoring system were extracted and visualized with a text network. By analyzing the eigenvector centrality of text network, we identified hazards and types of hazardous situations related to usability of the central monitoring system. Eigenvector centrality was chosen because it is relatively more accurate than other centralities. In addition, we derived an appropriate use scenario to evaluate the usability of the central monitoring system. The research results provide more realistic and valuable insights through data derived based on actual adverse event cases, and are expected to contribute to improving safety and reliability by identifying user requirements for improved usability and reducing use errors in the future.

CDMA망 기반 3채널 심전도 모니터링 시스템의 평가 (Evaluation of CDMA Network Based Wireless 3 Channel ECG Monitoring System)

  • A wireless 3 channel ECG monitoring system was developed so that it could monitor the health and movement state during subject's daily life. The developed system consists of a wireless biomedical signal acquisition device, a personal healthcare server, and a remote medical server. Three experiments were performed to evaluate the accuracy, reliability and operability, applicability during daily life of the developed device. First, ECG signals were measured using the developed device and commercial reference device during sitting and marking time and compared to verify the accuracy of R-R intervals. Second, the reliable data transmission to remote server was verified on two types of simulated emergency event using patient simulator. Third, during five types of motion in daily life, the accuracy of data transmission to remote server using CDMA network was verified on two types of event occurring. By acquiring and comparing subject's biomedical signal and motion signal, the accuracy, reliability and operability, applicability during daily life of the developed device were verified. In addition, PDA-phone based wireless system enabled subject to be monitored without any constraints. Therefore, the developed system is expected to be applicable for monitoring the aged and chronic diseased people and giving first-aid in emergency.
