The objective of this research is to examine the fashion styles of Choe Seung-Hee (1911-1969), modern woman and dancer of Korea, through her life and activities. From such theoretical and empirical studies, three aesthetic characteristics of South Korea's modern woman Choe Seung-Hee's fashion styles could be deduced. Based on the three deduced styles of modern elegance, futuristic avant-garde and mystical Asian aesthetics, "Pearl of Asia" was selected as the main theme. The result is that the fashion styles of Choe Seung-Hee is not simply that of an individual modern woman and a dancer who lived in the early 20th century but is a meaningful symbol of Korea's modern women.

The purpose of the study is to give new aesthetic values of black dress one of the important items in contemporary women＇s fashion. Through the work, to give the new aesthetic characteristics that women really needed can be found. This study was processed by fashion books and articles, literal material with fashion photos which were related fashion trend from 1920 to the present. The results are as follows: In early 20th century, the black dress, which had simple form pursuing function like little black dress. In the middle of the 20th century, elegance and minimalism was represented by black dress, expressed erotic images together with see-through fabrics. In the end of the 20th century, body conscious style of black dress expressed sensual images of women. Modem black dress has design characteristics of the form: simple, close, exposure type and of the materials: matte, transparent and dazzling etc. Simple type emphasizes feminine elegance, while close type and exposure type disclose woman body curve to express erotic images. Matte materials made black dress express feminine elegance while transparent materials and dazzling materials made black dress express erotic and sensual beauty. The aesthetic characteristics of black dress were as followings: Sensualism expresses sexual attractiveness of women-close type and exposure type black dress and see-through materials and dazzling materials made black dress. Simplicity of extreme decoration effects are expressed through black dress having temperate and simple form. Femineity expresses traditional femineity to emphasize chaste, modest and elegant women images-the black dress, which is made of simple form, velvet and satin materials. Modernism combines black colour, which is called modem colour, with simplicity and function factors and pursues simple form. Ascetic practice controls mental and physical desire of the individuals, simple form without decoration covering up woman body and box type silhouette of black dress. Therefore, the study on image of the black dress, which have made appearance at modern fashion, is thought to help develop fashion trends and design, through which modern women express themselves and their beauty.

The aim of his study is to understand the developed aspect and proportions of the exotic images. Thus, this analyzed the exotic images in domestic fashion brand items as an relevance with fashion trend information. The exotic images are in the order of 'ethnic', 'retro', artistic', 'elegance', 'primitive', 'seductive', 'folklore', 'extreme hybrid', 'romantic', 'natural', 'splendid', 'bohemian', 'classical', 'kidult', 'modern', 'traditional', 'vintage' expressed in domestic fashion goods by the categories of its key-words expressed fashion trend information, and suitable for the fashion trend in 21C and fashionable for goods in the domestic fashion market by expressing the racial costume images and retro look, the maximized women's elegance, the difference images with an humor and unfamiliarity.

Remembering a meaning of fashion started in the early 20C, Paul Poiret is one of the most important designer. If so, what does his achievements and assessment his costume design have to be？ That is the spirit of his design. Through the creation of the new style which is totally different from a period before, introduction of the vivid color, the new line and the enthusiasm of the fashion business, he showed the roll and the possibility of the modern designer. In Poiret's women's costume, harmonious beauty of women could be discovered in beautiful color which was not used in the 19th and elegance line. Furthermore, in the creation of the color and style, he got a strong influence by the art of early 20C's Europe. This was an opportunity that todays fashion has treated as a part of the or her art, and many modern designers are contacting with the art. The excellent ability in the fashion business has the composite as total fashion. Fashion business including perfumes, cosmetics furnitures, accessories is a model for most designers who follows him.

이 논문에서는 정철 시조에 나타난 현실 지향과 풍류의 성격을 논의했다. 정철은 일반 유자들이 가지는 현실지향의 근본적 성격을 바탕에 가지면서도 근기 지역의 기호 사림의 일원으로서 주기적 세계관-을 가짐으로써 더 현실지향성을 가졌고 유년에 행복한 궁중 생활을 체험함으로써 그의 현실 지향은 구체적으로는 궁중 지향으로 나타났다. 시조에서 군주와 단절된 상황일 때에 절대적 지향성을 가지고 단절을 극복하지 위한 갖가지 노력을 했고 자아의 정체성을 역설적으로 드러내어 군주를 향한 절대적 지향의 당위성을 드러냈다. 군주와 관계가 지속되는 상황에서 작자는 궁중에서의 관직 생활을 행복한 추억으로 기억하였고 지방관으로 나가 있을 때에는 현직에 복무하면서도 군주가 있는 궁중 지향을 그치지 않았다. 현실 지향성과 관련하여 자연과 음주는 정철에게 있어 풍류의 중요한 요인이 되었다. 자연과의 관계에서 정철이 군주와 긍정적인 관계를 유지할 때에는 유흥과 호방함의 정서를 드러냈고 군주와 부정적 관계 속에 처했을 때에는 자연을 통하여 자신의 결백함을 드러내거나 자연과 단절된 자신의 모습을 표현했다. 물러나 자연과 친화하며 심성을 연마하고 후진을 양성하던 일반 유자들과는 달랐다. 음주에 있어서 정철은 군주와의 우호적 관계에서는 술을 통하여 여유와 유흥을 주된 내용으로 표현했고 군주와 단절된 상황에서는 고뇌와 근심을 씻기 위하여 통음에 자신을 내맡기는 감성적 행동을 시조에 표현했다. 술을 통하여 고뇌를 이기려는 성향은 그의 스승 김인후 한시나 그의 후배인 신흠의 시조에서도 확인되어 음주 풍류의 한 전통을 형성하고 있었다.

Impressionism was the epoch in art which marked the beginning of modern times. For the relatively short period of twenty years, from the middle of the 19th century until approximately 1875, Impressionism was style forming. Then the dissolving tendencies became increasingly stronger A number of artists remained true to the style, some of them lifelong, well into the 20th century. Other, after years of experimenting with other styles, returned to their Impres- sionistic beginnings. However, they were individual personalities with their own artistic hand. Quite a few painters entered the circle of Impressionism after 1875 & used the perceptions of this art in their later works. Especially, Impressionism's light & color affected both 20th's painting & other sorts of art. From the fashion point of view, the influence of Impressionism affected a great deal on the 20th than 19th fashion. As a result the influence of Impressionism on Modern Fashion was as follow: 1. This study is to analyze that the pluralism is the main aspect of the modem fashion which examines the definition and the character of the pluralism. This will also consider the pluralism that appeared on the modern fashion which is based on them. The main point of pluralism is that the world is necessarily aware of plural and difference. Also many values which is focused on the previous generation, for instance disorganize of westernism, androcentrictrism, christianism and powerful nationalism, what is called unfamiliar, heterogeneous, the others and the circumference things. As these were rehabilitated, morality, ethics, religion or politics were all became possible to choose for one's taste. The pluralism expressed in modern fashion can be divided as collapse of genre, grafting the lower and higher orders cultivation, variety way of approaching in time, internationalism. The result for the consideration is that the pluralism has candid attitude for everything so that in the modern fashion is importing variety range of artistic definition. Namely, it is not only containing previous pure art, elegance art and element of artistic sublime beauty, but also has aesthetics of ugliness, deconstructive art and anti-fashion so that the definition of the art is getting vagueness and diverse.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the differences among visual images under variations in shoulder length and puff volume of the puff sleeve blouse. The stimuli are 21 samples: three variations of shoulder length and seven variations of puff volume. The data has been obtained from 40 fashion design majors, where they had been analyzed through frequency, factor analysis, ANOVA, Scheffe's test and MCA method. The results of the study are as the following: As a result, through factor analysis of the visual images according to the variation of shoulder point and puff volume, the following four factors had been identified. Factor 1 is the brightness from evaluation terms such as childish-precocious, cute-mature, bright-genteel, soft-hard, enlarged-reduced, particular-ordinary, interesting- uninteresting, etc. Factor 2 is the attractiveness from evaluation terms such as refine-rustic, stylish-dull, attractive-unattractive, modern-classic, urban-rural, cool-gloomy, spacious-tight. etc. Factor 3 is the comfortness from evaluation terms such as comfort-discomfort, intense-indistinct, etc. Factor 4 is the elegance from evaluation terms such as elegance-shallowness, womanish-manly, etc. These four factors were 66.7% of the total variables. Of the total variables, the first factor had been evaluated as brightness in 26.2%, attractive in 21.0%, comfortness in 11.1%, and elegance in 8.4%. From this study, the more puff volume and shorter shoulder length, the puff volume wrapped the shoulder naturally, thus making the shoulder look narrow, and giving a cute and bright image. However, by having less puff volume and excessively short shoulder length, the puff volume did not naturally wrap the shoulder, which gave an unnatural and unattractive feel.

Trench coat derived from military uniforms was one of the classical fashion items and has been endeared as everyday outfits thanks to useful traits. Since 1990s classical design of trench coat began to be modified and many variant styles were appeared after 2000s. Trench coat designs after 2000s were appeared as tradition type that was stick to basic British classic style, variation type that was changed in details, colors, materials, and silhouettes, evolution type that was changed into new items, deconstruction type that was dissolved and open-structured. Modern trench coat expressed modern chic, elegance feminine, stylish casual, military and gangster images. The characteristics of trench coat as classic fashion were utility for everyday life style, excellent ability to express images, and strong visual effects of characteristic details. Trench coat was timeless as classic fashion, at the same time, changed into new fashion styles suitable for the sense of the times.

여성 그레쥬에이션 시술 각도의 변화에 따른 한국남성들의 트렌드 감성별 룩 포지션과의 상관성에 관한 연구로서 시술각도에 따른 여성 그레쥬에이션의 다양한 이미지를 조사하고 이를 바탕으로 창의적인 그레쥬에이션 커트시술이 가능해 지는데 연구 목적이 있다. 설문지법을 사용하여 총 100부의 설문지를 통계분석 하였다. 연구 결과 그레쥬에이션의 시술 각도 $5^{\circ}$, $31^{\circ}$, $85^{\circ}$ 에서는 세련된(sophisticated) 이미지가 나타난다고 응답하였으며 $15^{\circ}$, $65^{\circ}$의 시술 각도에서는 우아한(elegance) 이미지가 나타난다고 응답하였으며 시술 각도 $50^{\circ}$에서는 현대적인(modern) 이미지가 나타난다고 응답하였다. 본 연구를 통해 한국 남성들이 느끼는 트렌드 감성별 룩 포지션에 의하여 세분화 된 여성 그레쥬에이션 커트에 대한 향후 심층적인 후속 연구가 가능해지며 고객만족을 창출과 동시에 보다 심도 깊은 헤어커트 교육의 기초자료로 활용이 가능해지리라 사료된다.
