수학적 모델링 방법에 기초한 복합발전 공정의 정상상태 모사시스템 개발 (Process Modeling System of a Combined Cycle Plant for Steady State Simulation with Model Based Approach)

  • 복합발전 공정의 모델링 및 모사는 공정의 운전 및 설계 조건에 따른 공정변수의 변화를 정량적으로 예측하기 위한 중요한 접근방법이다. 본 연구에서는 현재 사용되는 복합발전공정의 정상상태 모사기의 단점을 보완하여, 사용자의 편의성과 개발자의 핵심기술 모델링을 가능하게 하는 공정 모델링 시스템을 개발하였다. 복합발전 공정의 주요 장치들을 분석하여 수학적 모델을 개발하였으며 이를 종합하여 모델라이브러리로 구성하였다. 또한 모사의 목적과 입수 가능한 자료에 따라 사용되는 모델의 상세도가 다르다는 점을 고려하여 주요장치에 대해 다른 상세도의 모델을 개발하였다. 복합발전 상업공정을 개발된 모델링 시스템을 사용하여 모델링과 모사를 수행하였으며 모사의 결과를 데이터자료와 비교 검증하였다. 검증의 모사결과와 자료데이터는 1% 내의 오차를 보였으며 개발된 모델링 시스템이 실제 공정에 응용될 수 있음을 보여주었다.

탐구지향 수학적 모델링에 관한 연구 (A Study of Exploration- Oriented Mathematical Modeling:)

  • Modern society's technological and economical changes require high-level education that involve critical thinking, problem solving, and communication with others. Thus, today's perspective of mathematics and mathematics learning recognizes a potential symbolic relationship between concrete and abstract mathematics. If the problems engage students' interests and aspiration, mathematical problems can serve as a source of their motivation. In addition, if the problems stimulate students'thinking, mathematical problems can also serve as a source of meaning and understanding. From these perspectives, the purpose of my study is to prove that mathematical modeling tasks can provide opportunities for students to attach meanings to mathematical calculations and procedures, and to manipulate symbols so that they may draw out the meanings out of the conclusion to which the symbolic manipulations lead. The review of related literature regarding mathematical modeling and model are performed as a theoretical study. I especially concentrated on the study results of Freudenthal, Fischbein, Lesh, Disessea, Blum, and Niss's model systems. We also investigate the emphasis of mathematising, the classified method of mathematical modeling, and the cognitive nature of mathematical model. And We investigate the purposes of model construction and the instructive meaning of mathematical modeling. In conclusion, we have presented the methods that promote students' effective model construction ability. First, the teaching and the learning begins with problems that reflect reality. Second, if students face problems that have too much or not enough information, they will construct useful models in the process of justifying important conjecture by attempting diverse models. Lastly, the teachers must understand the modeling cycle of the students and evaluate the effectiveness of the models that the students have constructed from their classroom observations, case study, and interaction between the learner and the teacher.

수학적 모델링의 정교화 과정 연구 (A Study on a Modelling Process for Fitting Mathematical Modeling)

  • 학교수학에서 다루는 수학적 모델링의 일반적인 특성은 하나의 실제적인 문제를 해결하기 위하여 수학적 모델을 도입하고 이를 풀어서 실제적인 문제에 답을 제시하는 일회적인 경우가 많다. 그러나 실제적인 문제는 일회적인 모델링으로는 해결되지 않거나 그 해가 충분히 정밀하지 못한 경우가 있다. 본 연구는 여러 가지 변인을 가진 실제적인 문제를 해결하기 위해 수학적 모델을 구성할 경우, 구성한 수학적 모델의 해의 의미성을 분석해 보고 필요하면 더욱 정교한 해를 구할 수 있는 모델로 나아가는 수학적 모델링의 정교화 과정 모형을 구안하였다. 또한 그것을 수학교실에서 활용할 수 있는 수학적 모델링의 예를 제시함으로써 학교수학에서 수학적 모델링의 정교화를 다룰 수 있게 하였다.

건물모델 정규화를 적용한 항공라이다의 3차원 건물 모델링 (3D building modeling from airborne Lidar data by building model regularization)

  • 건물모델의 정규화 없이 3차원 건물 모델링을 하면 건물모델에 왜곡이 발생하거나 위상적 불일치가 발생할 수 있다. 반면에, 정규성을 고려할 경우 제약조건으로 인하여 재구성이 가능한 건물 유형이 제한적일 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 보다 다양한 건물을 고려한 건물모델 정규화 방법을 적용하여 항공라이다 데이터로부터 3차원 건물을 모델링하였다. 우선 특징공간에서의 군집화와 객체공간에서의 분할을 통해 건물점들을 지붕면으로 분할한다. 건물모델 구성요소 간의 평행성, 대칭성, 일치성 등을 충족시키기 위하여 면-선-점의 순차적 조정에 의한 정규화를 통해 3차원 건물을 재구성한다. 도시 지역에 대한 실험을 통해 기존의 방법들보다 다양한 형태의 건물에 대하여 정규성을 충족하는 3차원 모델을 생성할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, 정규화가 건물모델의 정확도에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 분석하였다.

표면 파라미터 계산시 모델링 인자에 따른 조정계산 추정 성능의 사전 비교분석 (A-priori Comparative Assessment of the Performance of Adjustment Models for Estimation of the Surface Parameters against Modeling Factors)

  • 본 연구는 표면 파라미터 추정시 고려하는 주요 인자별로 각 조정모델들을 분류하고 그들의 추정정확도를 사전분석함으로써 이들 모델링 인자들이 각 대상파라미터의 추정에 주는 영향을 정량적으로 분석하였다. 현재 지표면형상에 대한 정보를 취득하기 위하여 라이다영상, 항공영상, SAR영상 등 다양한 자료가 활용되고 있고, 이들로부터 지표면 형상을 정량적으로 분석하기 위해서는 임의지점 주위의 관측값들을 이용하여 해당 지점의 형상을 구체적으로 파악하게 된다. 이러한 형상정보는 관측값 범위지정, 가중치방식, 그리고 수학적모델링 등 여러 인자들을 선정하여 산정할 수 있지만, 각 선정인자에 따라 표면의 형상정보는 다르게 산정되고 또한 그 정확도도 상이하게 된다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 표면의 형상정보추출시 조정계산 인자들 따른 이러한 정확도를 비교함으로써 인자별 추정 정확도 변화 경향에 대한 진단을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서는 표면형상정보로 표고, 경사, 곡면의 2차계수를 대상으로 하고, 수학적함수, 커널크기, 가중유형별로 조정계산모델들을 구성하여 사전통계량을 계산하였고, 이에 따라 전통계량 변화를 비교 분석함으로써, 각 조정모델의 추정성능을 조정계산인자에 따라 정량적으로 비교분석하였다.

3상 거동 상대투수율 선정에 따른 불포화대 및 포화대 내 NAPL 거동 특성 연구 (NAPL Fate and Transport in the Saturated and Unsaturated Zones Dependent on Three-phase Relative Permeability Model)

  • Differences in subsurface migration of LNAPL/DNAPL contaminants caused by a selection of 3-phase (aqueous, NAPL, and gas) relative permeability function (RPF) models in numerical modeling were investigated. Several types of RPF models developed from both experimental and theoretical backgrounds were introduced prior to conducting numerical modeling. Among the RPF models, two representative models (Stone I and Parker model) were employed to simulate subsurface LNAPLs/DNAPLs migration through numerical calculation. For each model, the spatiotemporal distribution of individual phases and the mole fractions of 6 NAPL components (4 LNAPL and 2 DNAPL components) were calculated through a multi-phase and multi-component numerical simulator. The simulation results indicated that both spilled LNAPLs and DNAPLs in the unsaturated zone migrated faster and reached the groundwater table sooner for Stone I model than Parker model while LNAPLs migrated faster on the groundwater table under Parker model. This results signified the crucial effect of 3-phase relative permeability on the prediction of NAPL contamination and suggested that RPF models should be carefully selected based on adequate verification processes for proper implementation of numerical models.

퍼지 규칙 기반 모델링 기법을 이용한 감성 만족도 모델 개발 (User Satisfaction Models Based on a Fuzzy Rule-Based Modeling Approach)

  • This paper proposes a fuzzy rule-based model as a means to build usability models between emotional satisfaction and design variables of consumer products. Based on a subtractive clustering algorithm, this model obtains partially overlapping rules from existing data and builds multiple local models each of which has a form of a linear regression equation. The best subset procedure and cross validation technique are used to select appropriate input variables. The proposed technique was applied to the modeling of luxuriousness, balance, and attractiveness of office chairs. For comparison, regression models were built on the same data in two different ways; one using only potentially important variables selected by the design experts, and the other using all the design variables available. The results showed that the fuzzy rule-based model had a great benefit in terms of the number of variables included in the model. They also turned out to be adequate for predicting the usability of a new product. Better yet, the information on the product classes and their satisfaction levels can be obtained by interpreting the rules. The models, when combined with the information from the regression models, are expected to help the designers gain valuable insights in designing a new product.

  • Neural network models, also known as connectionist models or PDP models, simulate some functions of the brain and may promise to give insight in understanding the cognitive brain functions. The models composed of neuron-like elements that are linked into circuits can learn and adapt to its environment in a trial and error fashion. In this article, the history and principles of the neural network modeling are briefly reviewed, and its applications to psychiatry are discussed.

통합 물환경 관리를 위한 개방형 모델링 플랫폼 고찰 (A Review of Open Modeling Platform Towards Integrated Water Environmental Management)

  • A modeling system that can consider the overall water environment and be used to integrate hydrology, water quality, and aquatic ecosystem on a watershed scale is essential to support decision-making in integrated water resources management (IWRM). In adapting imported models for evaluating the unique water environment in Korea, a platform perspective is becoming increasingly important. In this study, a modeling platform is defined as an ecosystem that continuously grows and provides sustainable values through voluntary participation- and interaction-of all stakeholders- not only experts related to model development, but also model users and decision-makers. We assessed the conceptual values provided by the IWRM modeling platform in terms of openness, transparency, scalability, and sustainability. I We also reviewed the technical aspects of functional and spatial integrations in terms of socio-economic factors and user-centered multi-scale climate-forecast information. Based on those conceptual and technical aspects, we evaluated potential modeling platforms such as Source, FREEWAT, Object Modeling System (OMS), OpenMI, Community Surface-Dynamics Modeling System (CSDMS), and HydroShare. Among them, CSDMS most closely approached the values suggested in model development and offered a basic standard for easy integration of existing models using different program languages. HydroShare showed potential for sharing modeling results with the transparency expected by model user-s. Therefore, we believe that can be used as a reference in development of a modeling platform appropriate for managing the unique integrated water environment in Korea.

초등 예비교사의 자기 모델 탐구 과정과 과학적 모델에 대한 이해 변화 (Pre-service Elementary Teachers' Inquiry on a Model of Magnetism and Changes in Their Views of Scientific Models)

  • An alternative vision for science inquiry that appears to be important and challenging is model-based inquiry in which students generate, evaluate and revise their explanatory model. Pre-service teachers should be given opportunities to develop and use their mechanistic explanatory models in order to participate in the practice of science and to have a sound understanding of science. With this view, this study described a case of pre-service elementary teachers' scientific modeling in magnetism. The aims of this study were to explore difficulties preservice elementary teachers encountered while they engaged in a model-based inquiry, and to examine how their understandings of the nature of scientific models changed after the model-based inquiry. The data analysis revealed that the pre-service teachers had difficulties in drawing and writing their own thinking because they had little experience of expressing their own science ideas. When asked to predict what would happen, they could not understand what it meant to make a prediction "based on their model". They did not know how to use or consider their model in making a prediction. At the end of the model-based inquiry they reached a final consensus of a best model. However, they were very anxious about whether the model was the "correct" answer. With respect to the nature of scientific models, almost all of the pre-service teachers initially viewed models only as a communication tool among scientists or students and teachers to help understand others' ideas. After the model-based inquiry, however, many of them understood that they could create, test, and revise their "own" models "by themselves". They also realized the key aspects of scientific models that a model can be changed as evidence is accumulated and a model is a knowledge production tool as well as a communication tool. The results indicated that pre-service elementary teachers' understandings of the nature of scientific models and their previous school science experiences could affect their performance on a model-based inquiry, and their experience of scientific modeling could help them enhance their understandings of the nature of scientific models.
