컴퓨터통합제조시스템을 위한 수명주기 모형 (A Life Cycle Model for Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems)

  • In this paper, we propose a 7-phase life cycle model which applies to Computer Integrated Manufacturing systems. The model emphasizes product design and manufacturing design activities of CIM to secure the critical success factors of CIM systems such as high quality, adaptability, productivity, and flexibility. It is argued that the product design aspect would be divided into three phases-conceptual design, embodiment design, and detialed design. The conceptual design phase is to build a conceptual model of the product based on requirements and specifications which reflect "the voice of the customer". THe embodiment design phase utilizes specific design tools such as DFM, CAE, and CAD, and results in a concrete model of the product and parts. The detailed design phase is to crete a working prototype of the product and design tools such as DFA. CAD and CAM are employed in this phase. The output of the product design activity is to be the input for the manufacturing design activity. Using the proposed model, one can effectively and efficiently manufacture a high-quality, low-cost product with short delivery time, and above all achieve customer'ssatisfaction.isfaction.

Displacement-based seismic design of reinforced concrete columns strengthened by FRP jackets using a nonlinear flexural model

  • In the current research, a displacement-based seismic design scheme to retrofit reinforced concrete columns using FRP composite materials has been proposed. An accurate prediction for the nonlinear flexural analysis of FRP jacketed concrete members has been presented under multiaxial constitutive laws of concrete and composite materials. Through modification of the displacement coefficient method (DCM) and the direct displacement-based design method (DDM) of reinforced concrete structures, two algorithms for a performance-based seismic retrofit design of reinforced concrete columns with a FRP jacket have been newly introduced. From applications to retrofit design it is known that two methods are easy to apply in retrofit design and the DCM procedure underestimates the target displacement to compare with the DDM procedure.

  • Grinding operation has difficulty in satisfying the qualitative knowledge based on the skilful expert as well as the quantitative data for all user. Design of grinding database based on the frame-based model is more effective method for utilizing the empirical and qualitative knowledge. In this paper. basic strategy to develop the grinding database by taking frame-based model, which is strongly dependent upon experience and intuition, is described. Grinding database based on the frame based model for designing the interaction and inference among the slots is accomplised by the object-oriented paradigm system.

  • Large-scale Multi-disciplinary Systems(LMS) such as transportation, aerospace, defense etc. are complex systems in which there are many subsystems, interfaces, functions and demanding performance requirements. Because many contractors participate in the development, it is necessary to apply methods of sharing common objectives and communicating design status effectively among all of the stakeholders. The processes and methods of systems engineering which includes system requirement analysis; functional analysis; architecting; system analysis; interface control; and system specification development provide a success-oriented disciplined approach to the project. This paper shows not only the methodology and the results of model-based systems engineering to Automated Guided Transit(AGT) system as one of LMS systems, but also propose the extension of the model-based tool to help manage a project by linking WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), work organization, and PBS (Product Breakdown Structure). In performing the model-based functional analysis, the focus was on the operation concept of an example rail system at the top-level and the propulsion/braking function, a key function of the modern automated rail system. The model-based behavior analysis approach that applies a discrete-event simulation method facilitates the system functional definition and the test and verification activities. The first application of computer-aided tool, RDD-100, in the railway industry demonstrates the capability to model product design knowledge and decisions concerning key issues such as the rationale for architecting the top-level system. The model-based product design knowledge will be essential in integrating the follow-on life-cycle phase activities. production through operation and support, over the life of the AGT system. Additionally, when a new generation train system is required, the reuse of the model-based database can increase the system design productivity and effectiveness significantly.

  • The Vacuum circuit breaker is a kind of power circuit breaker and protect electric devices from over-current. In this paper we built a dynamic model of VCB driving mechanism using ADAMS. The development of the new circuit breaker with less energy and more compactable mechanism is focused. Through the dynamic model, the concept design of the new circuit breaker with less energy and more compactable mechanism is proposed, and then the detailed design is carried out through the design process based on the dynamic model.

  • It has been well known that traffic accidents occur under combined functional contributions of drivers, vehicles and road facilities, and that evaluation of safety levels for a specific road section or point is generally much complicated. Additionally, most of traffic accidents occur randomly implicating it is necessary to be evaluated in terms of probability theory. Thus, the evaluation model which reflects various characteristics and probabilistic distributions of traffic accidents has been necessary. The present paper provides a reliability based model with variables of probabilistic operating speeds and design speeds together which have been individually explaining associated characteristics in traffic accidents. Consequently, the model made it possible for speed management and road improvement projects to be evaluated in a common index. Application studies were performed in three cases. Through the studies, couples of facts were identified that the model successfully considered the probabilistic operating speeds and design speeds together and that then, the model evaluated road safety alternatives relatively which are complicatedly characterized and differently located.

Surrogate Model Based Approximate Optimization of Passive Type Deck Support Frame for Offshore Plant Float-over Installation

  • The paper deals with comparative study of various surrogate models based approximate optimization in the structural design of the passive type deck support frame under design load conditions. The passive type deck support frame was devised to facilitate both transportation and installation of 20,000 ton class topside. Structural analysis was performed using the finite element method to evaluate the strength performance of the passive type deck support frame in its initial design stage. In the structural analysis, the strength performances were evaluated for various design load conditions. The optimum design problem based on surrogate model was formulated such that thickness sizing variables of main structure members were determined by minimizing the weight of the passive type deck support frame subject to the strength performance constraints. The surrogate models used in the approximate optimization were response surface method, Kriging model, and Chebyshev orthogonal polynomials. In the context of numerical performances, the solution results from approximate optimization were compared to actual non-approximate optimization. The response surface method among the surrogate models used in the approximate optimization showed the most appropriate optimum design results for the structure design of the passive type deck support frame.

직무모형을 중심으로 한 4년제 대학 실내디자인 관련 전공교육과정 개발 연구 -K대학교 실내디자인전공 사례를 중심으로- (The Development of a Job Model Centric Educational Program for a 4 Year Interior Design University Course: Based on a Case Study of an Interior Design Major at K University)

  • 본 연구는 K대학교 디자인대학 실내디자인전공의 교육이 산업계의 요구에 부합하는 전문인을 양성하도록 교육과정의 개발절차 및 그 결과를 제시하는 것을 목적으로 했다. 연구의 방법으로는 먼저 내 외부 환경분석을 거쳐 문제점과 발전방향을 수립하였다. 이어서 실내디자인분야 직무모형을 구축하고 직무에 따라 교과목을 도출하여 4년제 교육과정에 따라 교과목을 편성하였다. 실내디자인 직무에 따라 수립한 인재상은 '실내디자인분야 경영 및 마케팅 전문가', '실내디자인분야 공간기획 전문가' 그리고 '실내디자인분야 시공관리 전문가'이다. 세부 직무모형에 따라 40개 교과목을 도출하였다. 1학년은 학부 공통교과목, 2학년은 전공기초, 3학년은 전공심화, 4학년은 전공응용으로 전체 교육과정을 편성하였다. 본 연구에서 실내디자인분야의 산업체 조직구성현황 및 직무표준의 모형을 기준으로 교과목을 개발하는 과정 자체를 제안하고 구체적 결과를 제시한다는 점에서 연구의 실용적 의의를 찾고자 한다.

스위칭 모드 퍼지 모델 기반 제어기를 위한 안정화 문제 해석 (Stabilization Analysis for Switching-Type Fuzzy-Model-Based Controller)

  • 본 논문에서는 연속 시간과 이산 시간에서의 스위칭 모드 퍼지 모델 기반 제어기의 새로운 설계 기법에 대해서 논의한다. 스위칭 모드 퍼지 모델 기반 제어기의 설계에서는 Takagi-Sugeno(TS) 퍼지 시스템이 사용된다. 이 스위칭 모드 퍼지 모델 기반제어기는 “정복-분할(divide and conquer)”이라는 하향식 접근 방식을 이용한다. 이 방법은 여러 개의 규칙을 가지고 있는 시스템에서 유한의 하위 시스템으로 시스템을 분할하여 각각의 부분 해를 구하고 이들을 결합하여 전체 시스템의 해를 구하는 방법이다. 제어기의 설계 조건은 주어진 TS 퍼지 시스템의 안정화를 보장하는 선형 행렬 부등식을 (LMIs)에 의해 결정된다. 적절한 시뮬레이션 예제를 통한 성능 비교를 통해 본 논문의 우수성을 입증한다.

STEP 방법론을 이용한 선박설계 모델의 공유 (Sharing Ship Design Model Based on STEP methodology)

  • 중앙 단면도 등의 선박의 초기 구조설계는 여러 가지 이유로 2차원으로 설계되어 다른 설계부서에 도면으로 전달되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기능이 서로 다른 여러 가지 컴퓨터 시스템사이의 데이터 교환을 위한 예제로, AutoCAD로 작성된 2차원의 초기 구조 설계 데이터를 구조해석(FEM) 시스템이나 상세설계 시스템(AutoDef)등의 다른 시스템에서 사용할 수 있는 데이터를 생성해 보았다. 이를 위해 STEP 제품모델의 방법에 따라 데이터가 정의 되었으며 2D 형상이나 3D 와이어프레임, 솔리드 모델등 다양한 형상을 다룰 수 있는 복합다양체 모델링 형상 도구인 ACIS가 사용되었다.
