효율적인 도로 시설물 유지관리를 위한 모바일 매핑 시스템 활용에 관한 연구 (Application of Mobile Mapping System for Effective Road Facility Maintenance and Management)

  • 사회가 발전함에 따라서 보다 높은 수준의 삶을 추구하고자 하는 욕구가 증대되고 있으며 이에 따라 많은 주요한 시설물이 구축되고 있다. 그 중 도로 및 노변에 존재하는 시설물은 사고예방, 재해방지, 운전자의 편의성 제공 등 다양한 목적으로 사용되므로 적절한 유지관리가 요구된다. 현재 이 시간에도 많은 지역에서 도로 및 노변에 존재하는 시설물 공사가 진행중이거나 유지보수중인 상태에 있다. 도로 시설물 유지관리를 위해서 인력을 이용한 현장조사도면과 관리대장작성의 업무가 수작업에 의존하고 있어 자료의 구축에 많은 시간이 걸리는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 인력을 이용하여 현장을 조사하는 기존 방법과는 달리 멀티 센서(multi sensor)를 장착한 모바일 매핑 차량 시스템을 한국건설기술연구원에서 개발하였다. 본 연구에서는 연구목적에 적합한 센서의 선정 및 차량 시스템을 설계하였으며, 그에 따른 전체적인 데이터의 처리절차를 설명하였다. 처리된 데이터를 DB화하여 사용자가 쉽게 접근이 용이하게 할 수 있도록 하여 공무원 및 유관기관 담당자가 현장에 갈 필요 없이 찾고자 하는 도로구간의 위치에 해당하는 도로 및 노변 영상과 그에 따른 속성 정보를 확인하여 해당 시설물에 대한 정보를 확인 할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 연구에서 구축된 시스템의 데이터를 사용하여 도로 시설물관리 업무의 효율성이 향상될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • Cloud computing has evolved into a core computing infrastructure for the internet that encompasses content, as well as communications, applications and commerce. By providing powerful computing and communications capabilities in the palm of the hand everywhere with a variety of smart devices, mobile applications such as virtual reality, sensing and navigation have emerged and radically changed the patterns people live. The data that is generated is getting bigger. Cloud computing, on the other hand, has problems with system load and speed due to the collection, processing and control of remote data. To solve this problem, fog computing has been proposed in which data is collected and processed at an edge. In this paper, we propose a system that dynamically selects a fog server that acts as a cloud in the edge. It serves as a mediator in the cloud, and provides information on the services and systems belonging to the cloud to the mobile device so that the mobile device can act as a fog. When the role of the fog system is complete, we provide it to the cloud to virtualize the fog. The heterogeneous problem of data of mobile nodes can be solved by using mDBaaS (Mobile DataBase as a Service) and we propose a system design method for this.

  • The mobile robots to rescue a life in a disaster area and to explore planets demand high mobility as well as recognition of the environment. To avoid unknown obstacles exactly in unknown environment, accurate sensing is required. This paper proposes a sensor fusion to recognize unknown obstacles accurately by using low-cost sensors. Ultrasonic sensors and infrared sensors are used in this paper to avoid obstacles. If only one of these sensors is used alone, it is not useful fer the mobile robots to complete their tasks in the real world since the surrounding environment in the real world is complex and composed of many kinds of materials. So infrared sensor may not recognize transparent or reflective obstacles and ultrasonic sensor may not recognize narrow obstacles, far example, columns of small diameter. Therefore, I selected six ultrasonic sensors and five infrared sensors to detect obstacles. Then, I fused ultrasonic sensors with infrared sensors in order that both advantages and disadvantages of each sensor are utilized together. In fusing sensors, fuzzy algorithm is used to cope with the uncertainties of each sensor. TAMRY which is terrain-adaptive mobile robot is used as the mobile robot for experiments.

위성영상정보 공간 메타데이터 검색 하이브리드 앱 설계 및 시험 구현 (Design and Prototype Implementation of Hybrid App for Geo-Metadata Searching of Satellite Images)

  • 최근 스마트폰과 같은 모바일 단말기나 모바일 앱과 같은 정보통신 기술의 발전이 공간정보를 포함하는 다양한 응용 분야에 많은 영향을 주고 있다. 또한 모바일 앱과 모바일 웹의 장점을 결합한 모바일 웹앱 또는 하이브리드 앱이라는 개발 방식이 부각되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 모바일 환경의 발전에도 불구하고 위성영상 정보는 다른 콘텐츠 서비스를 위한 배경 영상으로 사용하는 경우가 대부분이다. 본 연구에서는 이에 착안하여 위성영상정보 유통과 서비스의 기초가 되는 메타데이터 서비스를 위한 하이브리드 앱의 기본 모델을 설계하고 시험 구현하고자 한다. 설계 과정에서는 하이브리드 앱 구현의 주요 기술로 국제 표준화가 진행중인 HTML5를 적용하고자 하였다. 구현 과정에서는 최근 개발된 모바일 개발 환경중에서 오픈 소스 기반으로 플랫폼 호환성을 유지하면서 HTML5를 지원하는 PhoneGap과 Sencha Touch를 적용하였다. 한편 시험 구현에 사용된 위성영상정보는 소규모 지역을 대상으로 하는 일부의 KOMPSAT-2 영상을 사용하였으며, 공간메타데이터는 국내 단체 표준을 준용한 필수 항목만을 대상으로 하였다. 향후 다양한 가능을 제공하는 HTML5의 비즈니스 모델 개발과 산업적 활용도가 증가하고 모바일 플랫폼상에서 위성영상정보의 수요가 확대되면 본 연구의 접근 방법과 처리 가능의 구현 결과는 중요한 예시 자료가 될 것으로 기대한다.

Depth Extraction of Partially Occluded 3D Objects Using Axially Distributed Stereo Image Sensing

  • There are several methods to record three dimensional (3D) information of objects such as lens array based integral imaging, synthetic aperture integral imaging (SAII), computer synthesized integral imaging (CSII), axially distributed image sensing (ADS), and axially distributed stereo image sensing (ADSS). ADSS method is capable of recording partially occluded 3D objects and reconstructing high-resolution slice plane images. In this paper, we present a computational method for depth extraction of partially occluded 3D objects using ADSS. In the proposed method, the high resolution elemental stereo image pairs are recorded by simply moving the stereo camera along the optical axis and the recorded elemental image pairs are used to reconstruct 3D slice images using the computational reconstruction algorithm. To extract depth information of partially occluded 3D object, we utilize the edge enhancement and simple block matching algorithm between two reconstructed slice image pair. To demonstrate the proposed method, we carry out the preliminary experiments and the results are presented.

압축센싱이 Mask R-CNN 기반의 객체검출에 미치는 영향 분석 (Analysis of the Effect of Compressed Sensing on Mask R-CNN Based Object Detection)

  • 산업과 기술력이 발전하면서 이에 대한 데이터의 양도 증폭하고 있으며 해당 기술력과 정보 전달에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 데이터의 양을 줄이기 위해서 압축센싱을 활용하였고 해당 데이터가 객체 검출 알고리즘인 Mask R-CNN 모델에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 압축률이 높아질수록 이미지의 데이터 양이 줄어들면서 해상도가 낮아지는 것을 확인할 수 있었지만 객체 검출에서는 원본과 큰 차이를 보이지 않고 대부분의 객체가 검출되는 것을 확인하였다.

휴대폰 카메라용 비구면렌즈의 성형해석 및 후변형해석 (Mold Filling Analysis and Post-deformation Analysis of Injection-molded Aspheric Lenses for a Mobile Phone Camera Module)

  • In order to produce high-quality optical components, aspheric lenses have been widely applied in recent years. An aspheric lens consists of aspheric surfaces instead of spherical ones, which causes difficulty in the design process as well as the manufacturing procedure. Although injection molding is widely used to fabricate optical lenses owing to its high productivity, there remains lots of difficulty to determine appropriate mold design factors and injection molding parameters. In the injection molding fields, computer simulation has been effectively applied to analyze processes based on the shell analysis so far. Considering the geometry of optical lenses, a full-3d simulation based on solid elements has been reported as a reliable approach. The present work covers three-dimensional injection molding simulation and relevant deformation analysis of an injection molded plastic lens based on 3d solid elements. Numerical analyses have been applied to the injection molding processes of three aspheric lenses for an image sensing module of a mobile phone. The reliability of the proposed approach has been verified in comparison with the experimental results.

Self Localization of Mobile Robot Using UHF RFID Landmark

  • The goal of this paper is to develop a self localization of mobile robot using UHF RFID landmark. We present landmark, a location sensing archetype system that uses UHF Radio Frequency Identification (UHF RFID) technology for locating objects inside buildings. The major advantage of landmark is that it improves the overall accuracy of locating objects by utilizing the concept of reference tags. Based on experimental analysis, we demonstrate that passive UHF RFID is a viable and cost-effective candidate for indoor location sensing. We conduct a series of experiments to evaluate performance of the positioning of the landmark System. In the standard setup, we place RF Reader which has two antennas and 25 tags in our lab. This research uses the assumption-based coordinates (ABC) algorithm[3] for determining the localization of robot. Also, we show how Radio Frequency Identification (UHF RFID) can be used in robot-assisted indoor navigation for the visually impaired. The experiments illustrate that passive UHF RFID tags can act as reliable landmark that trigger local navigation behaviors to achieve global navigation objectives.

4S-Van: A Prototype Mobile Mapping System for GIS

  • The design of Graphic Information System(GIS) in various applications is suffering from the difficulty of data acquisition, which is labor-intensive and time consuming. In order to provide the spatial data rapidly and accurately, 4S-Van, a prototype mobile mapping system, has been developed. The 4S-Van consists of 1)Global Positioning System(GPS), Inertial Navigation System(INS) for estimating the geographic position and attitude of the moving van, i.e.,(x, y, z) and the direction of the Van, 2) Charge Coupled Device(CCD) camera and laser scanner for capturing images and for measuring depth from geographic objects, and 3) External Synchronization Device(ESD) and industrial PC for synchronizing data from GPS/INS/CCD camera and for storing the data. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of the proto-Dpe 4S-Van system for spatial data acquisition for various GIS applications.
