Limited Reception Function based Two-Way Authentication T-DMB System (제한수신 기능을 통한 양방향 인증 T-DMB 시스템)

  • Recently terrestrial mobile multimedia broadcasting(T-DMB) service is being provided throughout the country are expanding and demand is increasing day by day. T-DMB has the advantage of being cheaper in cost than installing another mobile multimedia broadcasting. However, there are a variety data of additional and provide it difficult for localized emergency alert broadcasting services. In this paper, a method to solve this problem feature was designed to restrict incoming unidirectional / bidirectional authentication via T-DMB system. In the mobile device is received by the T-DMB broadcasting service authentication mechanism for re-transmission to the mobile device, and T-DMB receiving other registered users can view it impossible to receive the broadcast. Through the proposed system it is considered to be able to solve the problems of the existing T-DMB technology.

Mobile-based smart same-time broadcasting services using locational information of urban railway users (도시철도 이용자의 위치정보를 활용한 모바일 기반 스마트 일제방송 서비스)

  • The control center of an urban railway operator provides railway users with various information on railway use through a 1:N same-time broadcasting system. However, the facilities of the broadcasting system are aging, exposing many limitations in meeting the needs of urban railway users who have become familiar with mobile services. To overcome these challenges, this study analyzed the mobile-based same-time broadcasting services using location information of urban railway users and the requirements of various stakeholders (urban railway users, an operator, and external service providers, etc.) to suggest optimal service models and physical structures. Through this study, it aims to secure safer operations of urban railway as well as to improve better disaster responses through rapid and efficient spread of the situation in case of disaster.

  • The BWS (broadcast website) data broadcasting service for terrestrial DMB (digital multimedia broadcasting) has a great advantage that it can provide a website like service through broadcast without web traffic to a plurality of receiving terminals. However, the value of BWS has not been recognized due to the development of mobile communication technology and changes in the environment, where mobile web services through smart devices such as smart phones and pads are common. Recently, various hybrid service technologies provided through hybrid broadcasting, a fusion of broadcasting and communications, have been developed. In this paper, we propose a scalable BWS dividing the hierarchy of BWS into transmission layers and present its application for hybrid DMB data broadcasting services.

  • This study was conducted to analyze the Influence of mobile commerce characteristics perception on mobile shopping intentions. The result of this study showed that mobile commerce characteristics perceptions have influence on mobile shopping intentions. The study also showed that the Influence of mobile commerce characteristics perception on mobile shopping intentions was different between mobile shopping experience group and none experience group. So the companies which is competing in the mobile commerce industry have to plan the various strategical marketing programs for the mobile devices users.

A Study on the Mobile Application Security Threats and Vulnerability Analysis Cases

  • Security threats are increasing with interest due to the mass spread of smart devices, and vulnerabilities in developed applications are being exposed while mobile malicious codes are spreading. The government and companies provide various applications for the public, and for reliability and security of applications, security checks are required during application development. In this paper, among the security threats that can occur in the mobile service environment, we set up the vulnerability analysis items to respond to security threats when developing Android-based applications. Based on the set analysis items, vulnerability analysis was performed by examining three applications of public institutions and private companies currently operating as mobile applications. As a result of application security checks used by three public institutions and companies, authority management and open module stability management were well managed. However, it was confirmed that many security vulnerabilities were found in input value verification, outside transmit data management, and data management. It is believed that it will contribute to improving the safety of mobile applications through the case of vulnerability analysis for Android application security.

A survey on the use of mobile phones due to COVID-19

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes in the use of mobile phones due to COVID-19. The subjects of this study were those who lived in Jeju City and used their own mobile phone for more than 2 years, and were included in adult men and women aged 15 to 80 years old. The purpose of this study was explained and a questionnaire survey was conducted on 156 people who agreed. The survey period lasted from June 15 to July 4, 2020. As a result, the daily use time and function of the mobile phone, which were used more than before the occurrence of COVID-19, increased. This was a statistically significant trend (p<0.001) with increasing trend after COVID-19 in all age groups. In addition, in the mobile phone function, all age groups used more 'KakaoTalk' than 'call', but it was found that only the group with less than 1 hour of daily using time used the call function a lot.

  • Recently, people can create small content by themselves and it improved into a form that can be promoted. Also, as active small business owners increase, they produce the content for promotion by themselves without external professional help and they utilize it. This paper studies the method to make Mobile Apps, Mobile Web and homepage services available by automatically generating the mobile based mini content. The automated content creation system suggests the method that small business owners and groups can easily communicate with new people by bringing Single Page Application, hybrid mobile web app, N-Screen based content building, private cloud-based PaaS building technology, P2P network based file sharing and multimedia thread technologies together and creating the content.

  • In this paper, we propose a simple one-click marketing solution for mobile devices which can advertise a product which is embedded in a mobile video while watching the video on a smartphone. If a specific product of interest appears in the video to the user, one can simply click on the product in the video and a pop-up window with information about the product is proposed. The implementation of the system is expected to enable users to gain real-time information about the product while watching the video without having to search for the product again after watching the movie, and thereby facilitating more mobile commerce. We use a two-fold system to prevent the failure of tracking which often occurs on a single online tracking system, so that the user cannot always get the commercial product information.

Portable 4K UHD Broadcasting Device using 5G Mobile Network as a Transmission Channel (5G 이동통신망을 전송채널로 활용하는 휴대형 4K UHD 방송중계 장치)

  • In this paper, we propose a protocol structure of a portable 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD) broadcast relay device that utilizes a 5G mobile communication network as a transport channel, and construct a prototype to conduct a broadcast relay performance test through a 5G mobile communication network. The test shows that the encoding time of the 4K UHD encoder is from a minimum of 86.28ms to a maximum of 88.41ms, the relay delay time in the 5G mobile communication network is 13.645ms on average, the delay variation is 17.49ms, and the glass-to-glass delay time is 289.90 on average, the delay variation is 27.63ms. Using the developed prototype, a relay test between Seoul and Anseong is conducted, and the possibility of 4K UHD broadcasting through a 5G mobile communication network is confirmed.

  • Due to a development of information and communications technology, now we can watch TV show whenever and wherever we want through DMB service. And this is different from existing TV service which we can just enjoy at certain place. Now, I will look into IPTV technology which is basis of Mobile IPTV service. And then, I will introduce Mobile IPTV service which combines the virtues of 'Mobility' of DMB technology and 'two-way communication' of IPTV technology and lets us enjoy two-way TV service at anytime and anywhere. And also I will check the problems of IPTV, on-going trend of Mobile IPTV(in service), and the perspective of Mobile IPTV. Finally, we suggest new fast duplicate address detection scheme in Mobile IPTV to support seamless IPTV packet transmission.
