  • The baking property, chemical composition, instrumental characteristics and sensory quality of yeast breads containing various mixing percentage of Job's-tears flour with wheat flour were studied. The loaf volume and baking quality of the yeast bread made from mixing of 30% Job's-tears flour were similar to those of wheat flour bread. The contents of crude protein, crude fat, and crude ash in Job's-tears flour breads were much higher than those of wheat flour brad. Instrumental rheological characteristics of the yeast breads were measured with a Texture Analyzer. As the addition level of Job's-tears flours increased, hardness of the yeast breads increased but fracturability, adhesiveness, springness, cohesiveness, gumminess, chewiness and resilience decreased. The results of sensory evaluation revealed that Job's-tears flour was added to wheat flour at a replacement level of 10% without a large adverse effect on flavor, taste, mouthfeel and aftertaste.

  • Optical nonlinear property is utilized to the wave generation, generating the beam at intended wavelength, and optical computing systems. The genetic material, which is the DNA with helical structure in nano-scale, is fascinating for optics communities due to artificially controllable sequence that determines the physical and chemical property. Nonlinearity of DNA was investigated by the four wave mixing experiment, which is with two incident beams located at 1550nm and 1650nm. The four output beams including incident beams are emitted from genetic material such as 1461nm and 1763nm by nonlinear characteristic. The 1461nm beam which is generated by four wave mixing phenomena was observed by optical spectrum analyzer.

  • In this study, an effect of fiber blending on material property of hybrid fiber reinforced concrete (HFRC) was evaluated. Also, optimized association and the mixing rate of fiber for HFRC was determined. Test result shows, in the case of mono fiber reinforced concrete, use of steel fiber in concrete caused increment in tensile and bending strength as the blended ratio increases, while use of carbon fiber and glass fiber caused increment in compressive strength. Use of hybrid fiber reinforcement in concrete caused a significant influence on its fracture behavior; consequently, caused increase by mixing rate of steel fiber and contributed by carbon fiber, glass fiber, celluloid fiber in reinforcement effect in order.

  • As the results of the study on the effects of mixing time for raw materials to the electric and magnetic properties of Mg-ferrite, the fraction of spinel phase after calcination and the geometry density of sintered Mg-ferrite increased from 30% to 100% and from 2.5g/cc to 4.25g/cc respectively due to mixing-homobenity of raw materials. The AC resistivity of grains decreased and lattice parameter, saturation magnetization increased due to the increase in Fe+2 of sintered body. conclusively the characteristic of powder after calcination had strong influence on the microstructure, electric, and magnetic properties in Mg-ferrite sintered body.

  • This study is analyzed mechanical properties and durability of permeability porous concrete to mix polymer and steel fiber for the enhance of performance and durability of porous concrete. It proves that void ratio and permeability are tallied with internal and external standard of paving porous concrete. A property of strength is increased according as the mixing rate of polymer and steel fiber increase, but it showed the tendency to be reduced on the contrary when mixed upwards of 20% of polymer mixing rate and 0.9vol.% of steel fiber mixing rate. As a result, it is possible to make an enhanced which increased 16% of compressive strength and 30% of flexural strength steel fiber reinforced polymer porous concrete at the mixing rate of 10vol.% of polymer and 0.6% of steel fiber.

  • It was investigated that the condition of fishing ground gave what kind of effect school type in relation to the property for the target school after the vertical temperature profile and school type were observed when tuna purse seiner for tuna purse seine was operated in the western pacific Ocean around the equator between December 12, 1993 and January 26, 1994. The results are as follows;1. This study divided fish schools associated with drift objects, a one targeted-operation, and the pelagic migrating fish schools that are another one for the property. The total of 23 operations were complected including 6 that targeted fish schools associated with drift objects and 17 that targeted pelagic migrating fish schools. It was known that the main operation was conducted on pelagic migrating fish school.2. Average and standard deviation of the depth of the surface mixing layer was 86.0m and 13.8m for fish schools associated with drift objects. 61.6m and 13.0m for pelagic migrating fish schools, respectively. The average depth of the surface mixing layer of the pelagic migrating fish schools was lower when compared to the fish schools associated with drift objects however the concentration of standard deviation was higher than those fish schools associated with drifted objects. Accordingly, it was assumed that the effect of vertical temperature profile for pelagic migrating fish school was higher than the fish schools associated with drift objects.

  • In this study we consider quantum dynamical semi-group with a normal faithful invariant state. A quantum dynamical semigroup $\alpha\;=\;\{{\alpha}_t\}_{t{\geq}0}$ is a class of linear normal identity-preserving mappings on a von Neumann algebra M with semigroup property and some positivity condition. We investigate the asymptotic behaviors of the semigroup such as ergodicity or mixing properties in terms of their eigenvalues under the assumption that the semigroup satisfies positivity. This extends the result of [13] which is obtained under the assumption that the semi group satisfy 2-positivity.

  • In this paper, we study the complexity of semigroup actions using complexity functions of open covers. The main results are as follows: (1) A dynamical system is equicontinuous if and only if any open cover has bounded complexity; (2) Weak-mixing implies scattering; (3) We get a criterion for the scattering property.

  • Interval prediction based on the empirical distribution function for the class of time series with time varying coefficients is discussed. To this end, strong mixing property of the model is shown and results due to Fotopoulos et. al.(1994) are employed. A simulation study is presented to assess the accuracy of the proposed interval predictor.
