  • The resistivity of cement paste and mortar for freezing and thawing was investigated for densifying the structure of cement paste and mortor, slag, diatomaceous earth and fly ash as blending materials and superplasticizer were used, and air entraining agent was added to absorb the volume expansion by freezing and thawing reaction. And then the specimens were subjected to freeze-thaw in water. When both of air entraining agent and superplasticizer as additives were mixed to specimens, their freeze-thaw resistance was enhanced by the air entraining effect and the water reduction effect. When 4% of slag were added to cement, freeze-thaw resistance was especially excellent. In addition, it was found that the specimens with blending materials were more influenced by curing periods than those without admixture. It is assumed that the curing periods contribute to exibit the potential hydraulicity and pozzolanic reactivity of blending materials and to densify their texture.

  • High strength cement hardened body was prepared by ordinary portland cement, silica-fume, super-plasticizer and the industrial by-product powder such as tailing, paper sludge ash and granulated slag. These raw materials were mixed and formed with w/c=0.18. The cement hardened body is cured in the autoclave at 18$0^{\circ}C$, 10atm. These admixtures made the compressive strength of all specimens develope by 170~230%. The highest compressive strength could be obtained by 236 MPa when mix composition was 14 wt% of silica-fume and 26 wt% of granulated slag. The compressive strength increased with decreasing the average pore size and the amount of the poe over the size of 50 nm by which the appearance of high compressive strength of the cement hardened body were mainly influenced. In the result, the hydration products were C-S-H, tobermorite and ettringite and it was realized that the reason why the cement hardened body became dense and revealed the higher strength was that those hydrates were formed inside of the pore and filled in it and the unhydrated materials played the role of an inner-filler.

  • The aim of this study is to develop High Performance Concrete, which can fill in every corner of forms without using any vibrators. In order to place concrete into reinforced members, concrete should have segregation resistance and high flowability. In this study, the binder of concrete, such as Ordinary Portland Cement, fly ash, and blast furnace slag, cement were mixed with the addition of superplasticizers and tested their flowability and segregation resistance using slump flow tester and L type flow tester. As a results, High Performance Concrete can be made using Portland blast furnace slag cement along with superplasticizers but the slump-loss of concrete is so large that measure should be made.

  • A study on the thermal stability of commonly used six fillers, such as titanium dioxide, silica, ground calcium carbonate, zeolite, and, clay, showed that most fillers except titanium dioxide were strongly effected by heat treatment. Therefore, the present methods for determination of ash in paper give weight loss due to thermal decomposition of fillers. It was found that a paper ashing method at a temperature of 40$0^{\circ}C$ allows most fillers in their original and undecomposed from. Results presented in this paper also show that X-ray diffraction can be used for qualitative determination of mixed fillers and coating pigments in a paper sheet.

  • Hardening agent has been the traditional material for surface soil stabilization a sat ground This study aims at determining optimal mixture ratio of hardening agent in accordance with the required design specificutions. Hardening agent is properly mixed with Fly ash, Gyosum, Slag and Cement for the etmmngite hydrates which is dective for early stabilization of unconsoliokrred soil. \ulcornerhe treated soil is the clay tint is widely found here and there in Koresz In this study, preliminary tests were performed to get optirml mixture ratio of stabilizer ingredient, and mrvine clay in Jin-Hae was used to get physid and Md properties. Labomtory tests of 50 stabilized soil were performed to get optimal mixture mtio for 16-stabilizer merial a 6 types, a d stabilizer mixing was determined

  • As the research on the development of the lightweight concrete block by the hydro-thermal synthetic reaction mixed with the calcareous material and bottom ash that is used less among siliceous material, we studied on the physical and chemical characteristics in the changes of hydro-thermal synthetic reaction of lightweight concrete block compounded with the PP fiber to increase flexural toughness and to prevent fragility failure. The results of the experiment are as follow. According to the increase of hydro-thermal synthetic reaction and the fiber content, compressive and flexural strength increased. Despite the changes of the hydro-thermal synthetic reaction time, tobermorite was produced on each of the specimens similarly. However, the phase of tobermorite was changed in accordance with the changes of time. Also, $CaCo_{3}$ appeared on the surface of the 9 hour hardened specimen.

  • The hydraulic structure of the hydroelectric power plant such as aqueduct tunnels and the drainage canal became old. Therefore, because the concrete surface of the aqueduct tunnel has received severe damage by wear-out and the crack etc the repair is demanded. This research examined the applicability of the repair mortar which mixed the fly ash and an artificial aggregate by using the very high early strength cement. As a result, good Quality repair mortar which satisfied the demand performance more than self-flow 270mm and compressive strength $50N/mm^2$ (age of 28days) adjusting of water cement ratio by using the MTX cement be able to be manufactured.

  • Wasted phosphogypsum is a by-product from the phosphoric acid process of manufacturing fertilizers. It consists mainly of $CaSO_4{\cdot}2H_2O$ and contains some impurities. The purpose of this study is to utilize wasted phosphogypsum into an admixture for concrete products cured by steam This paper is to investigate the strength properties of cement composites containing high volume phosphogypsum. The cement composites were composed of OPC, phosphogypsum, fly-ash and granulated blast-furnace slag with activators. As a result, the strength of cement composites containing high volume wasted phosphogypsum were shown high level when granulated blast-furnace slag was mixed. Therefore, PG could be used as a steam curing admixture for concrete 2th production with reduction of OPC.

  • Recently, owing to the development of industry and the improvement of building techniques, the concrete structure is becoming larger and higher. In hardening these large concrete, the heat of hydration gives rise to considerable thermal stress depending on the size and environmental condition of concrete, which might cause thermal cracking. Especially, the crack may cause severe damage to the safety and the durability of concrete structure. This study is investigated the thermal properties of concrete according to several binder conditions, such as OPC, Belite Rich Cement(BRC), Low-Heat-Mixed Cement(LHC), Fly ash added cement. As a result of this study, the Flowability of concrete was beetter with BRC and LHC than FA(25) and OPC. On the other hand, LHC gets superior effect in the control of heat hydration, it's caused by the volume of OPC.
