포괄적 비즈니스 모델 프레임워크 구축 및 적용 : 헬스케어 비즈니스 모델을 중심으로 (Establishment and Application of a Comprehensive Business Model Framework : Focusing on Healthcare Business Models)

  • A business model (BM) can be developed based on a business model framework (BMF) consisting of key components such as value proposition, customers, and resources. To systematically generate and analyze emerging BMs such as healthcare BM, an integration of diverse BMF components is needed. The present study is to establish a comprehensive BMF and evaluate its applicability to healthcare BMs. Based on a review of eight BMF studies, ten BMF components were identified and classified into five major components (value proposition, resources, organizing model, customers, and revenue model) and five minor components (technology, service platform, delivery, competitive strategy, and growth/exit) by analyses of frequency and functional importance. Lastly, the BMs of three emerging healthcare companies (WellDoc, Inc., CFW Shops, and Aravind Eye Care System) were analyzed and compared in terms of the proposed BMF components. The comprehensive BMF components presented in the study can be of help for developing new BMs and analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of BMs.

수용모델(CMB)을 이용한 한반도에서 관측된 황사의 발원지 추정과 기여도에 대한 연구 (Source Apportionment and the Origin of Asian Dust Observed in Korea by Receptor Modelling (CMB))

  • Ambient TSP at four sites in Korea and soil samples from the source regions of Asian Dust in northern China were collected and analyzed for 15 metal components and 6 water-soluble ions to conduct a chemical mass balance (CMB). CMB receptor model was used to estimate the source contribution of TSP during the Asian Dust period, and the model results showed that China soil was the largest source contributor, accounting for 81% of TSP ($458.2{\mu}g/m^3$). Vehicle emission and geological sources contributed to about 8.8% and 4.4% of aerosol mass, followed by sea salt (1.5%) and secondary aerosol (2.9%). Fuel combustion and industrial process sources were found to be relatively minor contributors to TSP (${\leq}1%$). In addition to source contribution estimates, this study tried to identify the origin of Asian Dust observed in Korea. Among all 13 China soil profiles presented in this study, the most adoptable profile which can project the case well was selected and considered as the origin of the applied case.

Estimation of Crossbreeding Parameters for Serum Lysozyme Level in Broiler

  • The main objective of the present study is to estimate the crossbreeding parameters in respect to serum lysozyme level in broilers. The experiment involved a complete $4{\times}4$ diallel design using four synthetic broiler lines namely Coloured Synthetic Male Line (CSML), White Synthetic Male Line (WSML), Coloured Synthetic Female Line (CSFL) and Naked Neck Line (NNL). The lyophilised Micrococcus lysodeikticus suspension was used to detect the lysozyme level in the serum of birds. The data were analysed by least-squares method to find the effects of genetic and non-genetic factors using appropriate model. The crossbreeding parameters for this trait were estimated by complete diallel model assuming the effect of each synthetic line as fixed. The results indicated that additive and non-additive genetic variation attributed to minor genes at many loci is important for the genetic control of serum lysozyme level in chickens. Total non-additive components of variance also showed significant amount of heterosis in crossbred progenies, and therefore exploitation of non-additive component of variance is possible for improvement in serum lysozyme level in broilers. The overall results suggested that for commercial broiler production system, the selection for specialised line on the basis of serum lysozyme level and subsequent crossing of parent lines could enhance the immunocompetence status in relation to serum lysozyme level in crossbred chickens.

A Three-Phase High Frequency Semi-Controlled Battery Charging Power Converter for Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles

  • This paper presents a novel analysis, design, and implementation of a battery charging three-phase high frequency semi-controlled power converter feasible for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. The main advantages of the proposed topology include high efficiency; due to lower power losses and reduced number of switching elements, high output power density realization, and reduced passive component ratings proportionally to the frequency. Additional advantages also include grid economic utilization by insuring unity power factor operation under different possible conditions and robustness since short-circuit through a leg is not possible. A high but acceptable total harmonic distortion of the generator currents is introduced in the proposed topology which can be viewed as a minor disadvantage when compared to traditional boost rectifiers. A hysteresis control algorithm is proposed to achieve lower current harmonic distortion for the rectifier operation. The rectifier topology concept, the principle of operation, and control scheme are presented. Additionally, a dc-dc converter is also employed in the rectifier-battery connection. Test results on 50-kHz power converter system are presented and discussed to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed topology for PHEV applications.

Compound K 측정을 위한 ELISA법 개발 (Development of ELISA Method for the Determination of Compound K)

  • In order to quantify compound K(CK), anticancer component of Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer, high titer rabbit polyclonal antibodies (pAbs) were raised against a conjugate of CK and bovine serum albumin coupled by a periodate oxidation method. Coating antigen (CK-OVA) was also prepared by the same method with OVA. As a result of optimization of antiserum dilution (2,000 fold), coating antigen ($25{\mu}g/ml$) and other condition (incubation time, temperature and washing method), ELISA method for the determination of CK was established. The measuring range extended from 0.5 ng/ml to 25 ng/ml of CK. The antibodies exhibited minor or even no cross reactivities with protopanaxatriol (1.56%) and other tested ginsenosides, $GRb_1$ (0.11%), $GRg_1$ (0.07%) except protopanaxadiol (87.2%) from the structural similarity. And the antibody showed good correlation (r=0.987) between the assay values obtained by this ELISA method and HPLC. Therefore, the ELISA method could be very useful tools for the determination of CK in biological fluids because of their high sensitivity and specificity.

Analysis of fusogenic activity of autographa californica nuclear polyhedrosis virus (Ac NPV) gp64 envelope glycoprotein

  • Teh baculovirus gp64 glycoprotein is a major component of the envelope of budded virus (BV) and has been shown that it plays an essential role in the infection process, especially virus-cell membrane fusion. We have cloned Autographa californica Nuclear Polyhedrosis Virus (AcNPV) gp64 protein were examined for membrane fusion activity by using a synchtium formation assay under various conditions. The optimal conditions required for inducing membrane fusion are 1) form pH 4.0 to 4.8 2) 15 min exposure of cells to acidic pH 3) at least 1 .mu.g of gp64 cloned plasmid DNA per 3 * 10$^{6}$ cells 4) and an exposure of cells to acidic pH at 72 h post-transfection. In order to investigate the role of hydrophobicity of the gp64 glycoprotein for the membrane fusion, the two leucine residues (amino acid position at 229 and 230) within hydrophobic region I were substituted to alanine by PCR-derived site-directed mutagenisis and the membrane fusion activity of the mutant was anlaysed. The gp64 glycoprotein carrying double alamine substitution mutation showed no significant difference in fusion activity. This result suggested that minor changes in hydrophobicity at the amino acid position 229 and 230 does not affect the acid-induced membrane fusion activity of the gp64 glycoprotein.

  • A lot of foreign objects(ceramics, pottery, bronze, glassware and coins, etc.) have been found in the archaeological sites in Korea. These foreign objects are the evidences of the cultural exchanges of that time, whose scale and routes are an important part of the studies in ancient history. So it is crucial to accumulate basic reference information such as the raw materials and the production method of these objects through scientific researches, along with archeological researches. These scientific research materials provide a basis for finding the importing route and the origin of these objects. Besides, we can find out extraordinary and distinctive production technique by comparison with tile domestic objects. This article reports the result of an analysis, performing on 36 samples of the glassware fragments excavated from the South Tomb of the Hwangnamdaechong, to verify their components and note peculiar features. We have analyzed the major and minor components of 10 elements, and then by using these data examined the differences in the composition of components, varying with the origin and color of glassware. We used the PCA(principal component analysis) as the statistical method to classify the sample in order to find out how the samples formed groups.

의도적인 공감각 기반 영상-음악 변환 시스템 구현 (Implementation of the System Converting Image into Music Signals based on Intentional Synesthesia)

  • 본 논문은 사전에 학습된 기억으로 공감각 현상을 지각할 수 있는 의도적인 공감각으로 영상에서 음악으로 변환하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 영상에서 변환정보로 색상(Color), 질감(Texture), 모양(Shape)을 사용하여 음악의 멜로디(Melody), 하모니(Harmony), 리듬(Rhythm) 정보로 변환하였다. 정적인 영상에서 단조로운 음이 반복되는 것을 최소화하고 영상에 있는 정보를 표현하기 위해 색상의 분포도에 따라 확률적으로 멜로디를 선택하여 출력함으로써 자연스럽게 음을 구성할 수 있도록 하였고, 영상에서 질감은 통계적 질감 특징 추출방식인 GLCM(Gray-Level Co-occurrence Matrix)의 7가지 특징으로 하모니의 장조와 단조를 표현하였다. 마지막으로 모양은 영상의 외곽선을 추출한 후 주파수 성분 분석인 허프 변환(Hough Transform)을 이용해 선 성분을 검출하여 각도의 분포에 따라 리듬을 선택하는 방식으로 음악을 생성하였다.

포유류 혈장알부민의 이질성 (Heterogeneity of Mammalian Plasma Albumin)

  • 소의 혈장으로부터 알부민을 순수 정제하였으며 순도는 면역 화학적 방법을 사용하여 확인하였다. 정제된 알부민에 maleate, iodoacetate, iodoacetamide 및 glutathione의 4가지 thiol 화합물을 각각 반응시켜 그 복합체를 9가지의 상이한 완충용액내에서 초산셀룰로우즈 전기영동한 결과 barbital buffer와 Na-acetate buffer를 제외한 다른 완충용액내에서 albumin-glutathione 복합체는 두 가지의 단백질로 분리되었으며 pH 4.8 citrate buffer 및 pH 4.8 succinate buffer내에서 albumin-iodoacetate 및 albumin-iodoacetamide 복합체는 두 가지의 단백질로 분리되었다. 전기영동상에 나타나는 알부민 분획에는 conformation이 서로 다른 두 가지 이상의 알부민 분자가 존재한다고 사료된다.

Multi-stage structural damage diagnosis method based on "energy-damage" theory

  • Locating and assessing the severity of damage in large or complex structures is one of the most challenging problems in the field of civil engineering. Considering that the wavelet packet transform (WPT) has the ability to clearly reflect the damage characteristics of structural response signals and the artificial neural network (ANN) is capable of learning in an unsupervised manner and of forming new classes when the structural exhibits change, this paper investigates a multi-stage structural damage diagnosis method by using the WPT and ANN based on "energy-damage" theory, in which, the wavelet packet component energies are first extracted to be damage sensitive feature and then adopted as input into an improved back propagation (BP) neural network model for damage diagnosis in a step by step mode. To validate the efficacy of the presented approach of the damage diagnosis, the benchmark structure of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is employed in the case study. The results of damage diagnosis indicate that the method herein is computationally efficient and is able to detect the existence of different damage patterns in the simulated experiment where minor, moderate and severe damages corresponds to involving in the loss of stiffness on braces or the removal bracing in various combinations.
