  • The purpose of this case is to report the improvement after treatment on the patient who has development disabilities with Goldenhar's syndrome. We treated the patient with acupuncture treatment from 10th November 2006 to 22nd May 2008. We checked the patient with Goldberg's Developmental Milestone. After treatment developmental levels of cognition, motion, language and sociability were improved. This case shows oriental medical treatment has useful effect on development disabilities.

불확실한 환경 하에서 중간 평가가 있는 시간-비용 프로젝트 문제 (Project Time-Cost Tradeoff Problem with Milestones under an Uncertain Processing Time)

  • We consider a project time-cost tradeoff problem with two milestones, where one of the jobs has an uncertain processing time. Unless each milestone is completed on time, some penalty cost may be imposed. However, the penalty costs can be avoided by compressing the processing times of some jobs, which requires additional resources or costs. The objective is to minimize the expected total costs subject to the constraint on the expected project completion time. We show that the problem can be solved in polynomial time if the precedence graph of a project is a chain.

  • The consequence of sulfate attack on geopolymer concrete, made from an alkali activated natural pozzolan (AANP) has been studied in this paper. Changes in the compressive strength, expansion and capillary water absorption of specimens have been investigated combined with phases determination by means of X-ray diffraction. At the end of present investigation which was to evaluate the performance of natural alumina silica based geopolymer concrete in sodium and magnesium sulfate solution, the loss of compressive strength and percentage of expansion of AANP concrete was recorded up to 19.4 % and 0.074, respectively.

속도 가변을 통한 영상교시 기반 주행 알고리듬 성능 향상 (Improvement of Visual Path Following through Velocity Variation)

  • This paper deals with the improvement of visual path following through velocity variation according to the coordinate of feature points. Visual path follow first teaches driving path by selecting milestone images then follows the route by comparing the milestone image and current image. We follow the visual path following algorithm of Chen and Birchfield [8]. In [8], they use fixed translational and rotational velocity. We propose an algorithm that uses different translational velocity according to the driving condition. Translational velocity is adjusted according to the variation of the coordinate of feature points on image. Experimental results including diverse indoor cases show the feasibility of the proposed algorithm.

  • As amount of information in construction industry is growing, the role of information system in project management is becoming increasingly important. With the emerging IT application to the advancing construction industry, construction project management system with advanced technology has been progressed vigorously to improve construction productivity and management efficiency. Recently, a web-based Project Management Information System (PMIS) is developed to support decision-making process by efficiently managing project related information generated from various discipline. Many firms are in the process of developing the PMIS system or already have been applied the system to various projects. However, PMIS is still in its early stage of development to be applied at industrial plant construction projects that process management is significantly emphasized for the successful execution of the project. With the complexity of the industrial plant projects, the industry practitioners need to be able to visualize the construction schedule information to manage the project efficiently. This study suggests methodologies for improving PMIS specialized for industrial plant piping construction projects to estimate the baseline schedule and performance measurement more accurately by developing a framework for the piping construction projects. By using this developed system, the researchers expect that piping construction projects will be more efficiently managed on a real-time basis through measuring progress of piping at each and every state of progress milestone and provide management with opportunities to forecast the level of efforts required to execute the remaining work scope in a timely manner

ISDN을 향하여 변화하는 통신기술

  • ISDN을 모르고 통신의 내일을 말한다는 것이 멋적을 정도로 ISDN만큼 오늘의 통신기술에서 뚜렷하게 부각된 milestone은 없다. 전화망의 발전은 정보량의 확대를 유발하였고 많은 정보량을 필요로 하는 대형기업체들은 고속의 circuit 또는 packet switching을 이용한 사설 network을 구성하여 이들 정보를 처리해 왔다. 그러나 digital기술의 cost down은 이들 business service를 residential service로 확장시킬수 있는 계기를 제공하여 비음성 정보 service를 voice용 기존 network에 그대로 integration하려는 노력이 ISDN이라는 이름으로 구체화되기 시작하였다. 본고에서는 ISDN의 도래와 함께 통신 서비스, network, system등이 어떻게 변천해 갈 것인지를 개관하였다.

  • The Kalman filter is an optimal linear estimator that has been an active research topic for the past three decades. The scheme has become the milestone of modern filtering, and it is applied to many areas including navigations and controls of free vehicle. The Kalman filter technique is matured. But some problems are still remained to be resolved. The prevention of divergence induced by digital implementation, nonoptimal application for nonlinear system, and application to non-Gaussian processes are some of the problems. This paper surveys the problems. The square root filtering is suggested to prevent the divergence. The extended Kalman filter is used for nonlinear systems. And, many other approaches to Kalman-like optimal estimators are also investigated.
