The purpose of this study is to investigate that how much do middle and high school students feel stress and life satisfaction in usual life : how much do stress affect their life satisfaction : and which variables affect their stress and life satisfaction. The samples are 235 middle and high school students in Kangneung, The results of this study are summarized as belows; First. In the case of student’s stress, it is perceived that the degree of school life stress is higher than that of family life stress. And the level of family life satisfaction is higher than that the level of school life satisfaction. Second. the students who perceived a lower level of stress showed the higher life satisfaction. The family life stress is a more influential variable than school life stress to life satisfaction Third, the variables that affect the student’s life satisfaction are sex, the school achievement, the perception on the level of living, communication with the family. the relationship with the teacher and the family life stress. These variables account for about 58.8% of the variance of the student’s life satisfaction.
The purpose of this study is to offer basic data on sex education for middle and high school students through content analysis of sex education subjects. The objects of this study were sex related subjects in the 7th grade curriculum and sex education guide books. The results were as follows: According to the results of analyzing sex education topics classified by grade, the 7th grade accounted for 35.2% of total topics, the 8th grade 2.9%, the 9th grade 2.9%, and the 10th grade 32.3%, the result of analyzing sex education topics classified by subject, showed 76.4% of total topics in sex education guide book, 29.4% were technique and domestic subjects, 20.5% were physical subjects, 17.6% were moral subjects, 8.8% were science subjects, 2.9% were society subjects. The domains which were chiefly concerned in sex education curricula for middle school students were "Human Development", "Relationship", and "Sexual Health". On the other hand, the domains which were mainly concerned with sex education curricula for high school students were "Relationship", "Sexual Behavior" and "Sexual Health". Most sex education subjects provided less instruction concerning "Personal Skills" and "Sexual Behavior" than other domains. The suggestion according to the results were as follows: It is desirable to teach sex education as an integrated subject. Especially, sex education should be a part of a comprehensive school health education program. Because this study focused on analyzing materials for teachers, further research is recommended to analyze sex education materials for students.
This paper studies what affects the private education cost for the elementary, middle, and high school students. It is a big issue now because there can be a problem in the equal opportunity for education if the portion of private education cost is very high in the total education cost. If we spend more time and money on the private education than the school education, it can cause the polarization among the classes and regions. The excessive private education also can deteriorate the school system. we use various regression and classification methods to analyze the cost of private education and find the important variables in the models. we found that large cities spend more money on the private education than small cities. We also found that high school students spend more than middle school students and the elementary students and the household with more income spend more money on the private education.

The purpose of this study were to identify the use and related variables of instructional media by middle and high school Home Economics teachers, and to provide the foundations for the use and developments of instructional media by some teachers in Home Economics educational fields. Self administered questionnaires were distributed to middle and high school Home Economics teachers and collected by stamps from Sep. 10 to Sep. 30, 1999, and 138 questionnaires were analysed frequencies, percentages, means, and $\chi$(sup)2-test. The results were as follows:1. Schools in city areas, public schools, and boy’s schools allocated more budget to instructional media for creative Home Economics education. Teachers got instructional media information from colleagues, catalogues from media company, and advertisement or columns of journals or newspapers. 2. More younger teachers with shorter educational experiences and active members in related academic associations owned more instructional media and had the ability to develop various instructional media. 3. Most teachers showed dissatisfaction to the prices, purchasing processes, information, quality, and assortments of instructional media.
An evaluation in school education systems should identify what students achieve and what they do not. Since 2010, if the health education curriculum is provided as a selective course in middle and high school settings, the national health education standards are required because these affect on students' applications of a higher stage of education. It would be better that each school follows their autonomy to evaluate each student's achievement on the health education. In addition, the national health education standards should be set to assess the effectiveness of seven categories in health education. It is hard to achieve good results through 17 hours of the health education per a semester. Therefore, the health education would be better to provide more than 50 hours per a semester, and the 3th graders instead of 5th graders are suitable for taking the health education because they are more flexible to change their lifestyle toward healthier life. There are two categories in the health education, such as "Mental Health" and "Society and Health" which are expanded from originally seven categories of the health education. Moreover, professional training programs for school nurses should be provided because these two categories are relatively a new domain for them. Finally, all elementary middle and high schools have a school nurse to decrease inequal opportunities of the health education between urban and rural area. When these suggestions are all set in school systems, our students' health behaviors will be improved as well as the effectiveness of the health education.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the middle school students’and their parent’s perception of the 6th Home Economics Education curriculum, their learning satisfaction, and the students’s perceived learning effect, focusing on the areas of human development and family relations. The subjects of this study were 392 middle school students, their parents and 51 Home Economics teachers in Pohang and Seoul. Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, test, F test, pearson’s product correlation coefficient, and $\chi$(sup)2 test, Schff post hoc test using the SAS computer program. The result of this study were that (1) the middle school student’s and their parent’s perception of the 6th Home Economics Education Curriculum, in general, was very positive. (2) Students, teachers and parents showed high levels of learning satisfaction with the areas of human development and family relations. (3) Student’s perceived learning effect on the areas of human development and family relations was considerably high.
This research has been attempted to measure health acknowledgement and needs of 1158 respondents, the parents of elementary, middle, and high school students, residing in Seoul and In-chon. 1. The majority of parents had high interests in health and their children's health education. In addition, more than half of parents showed positive responses in their willingness to participate in organizational activities. 2. 41.7% of parents thought that their children were receiving health education regularly. For their recognitions of the course title, 'Physical Education' was the most highly recognized by the parents of elementary and middle school students, and 'Military Drill' for the parents of high school students. 3. A high number of parents perceived the problems of school health education. 4. There was a high number of parents, who thought that health education teachers' knowledge was deficient, and 86.3% of them agreed that additional education for 33the teachers should be desired. 5. 95.5% of parents acknowledged the necessity of health education; 78.8% of them recognized the reinforcement of health education; and 60.0% of them percepted the necessity of establishing the independent health education courses. 6. For the matter of instruction period, the majority of parents responded that health education should be taught from "kindergarten" and "elementary school". For the appropriate instruction hour per a week, the majority answered 1 hour. Most respondents answered that those, who majored in health education, should be the appropriate teachers. 7. The survey result indicated that there was a close correlation between the cognition of the importance of health education and the correspondents' health educational background, their interest and willingness to participate in health education. 8. The most desired areas of health education were Safety Education and Health-Habit. The followings were Environmental Health, Prevention of Disease, Mental Health, Growth and Nutrition, and Drug-Abuse in a sequent order. The parents of elementary school students showed a high acknowledgement on Health-Habit, Growth and Nutrition, and Prevention of disease, Safety Education. On the other hand, as the children entered into the advanced schools, the parents' recognition of the health education needs shifted into Sex education, Drug Abuse, and Mental Health. 9. Those respondents, who recognized the necessity of health education and advocated the establishment of independent health education courses, had a strong demand for the implementation of the health education.
This study aimed to investigate and compare perceptions of middle and high school mathematics teachers on assessment. For the purpose, we developed and used a survey consisting of two parts(importance/performance on assessment and general opinion on process-based assessment). We gathered data from 188 middle school and 125 high school mathematics teachers in Incheon area. An Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA) method was used for data analysis. As results, middle school mathematics teachers showed higher perception on both importance and performance in almost all area on assessment than high school teachers. In addition, research results based on teaching experience indicated that mathematics teachers having more teaching experience seemed to perceive high importance-high performance and low importance-low performance tasks more than mathematics teachers having less experience. In particular, middle school teachers recognized many low importance-high performance tasks according to their teaching experience. The IPA gave us different results depending on the school size. The larger the school, the more diverse opinions appeared tasks in low importance-high performance. From the general opinion on process-based assessment, the middle school mathematics teachers also seemed to have more positive perspectives and to be more active in assessment than high school mathematics teachers. Finally, we discuss implications for future policy formulation and implementation on process-based assessment.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to provide basic data to develop first aid education programs for elementary, middle and high school students. Method: Forty nine textbooks adopted by first to six grade elementary schools and first to third grade of both middle and high schools were analyzed for content on first aid. Results: 1) First aid content was covered only in courses on and 2) Content on first aid was included in the categories, "General of first aid", "Rescue & moving", "Fire & Burns", "Cardiopulmonary resuscitation", "Musculoskeletal injuries", "Thermal injuries", "Wounds", "Removing foreign bodies", "Disaster & Accidents" and "Others". Categories that were not included were "Poisoning" and "Bites". The content did not follow a progression related to the level of intellectual and physical development of the students. Conclusion: These results suggest that the content on first aid should be revised to be practical and rational for the benefits of student safety.

The purpose of this study was to provide Apparel Industries producing the school uniform with the information on manufacturing the school uniform, and the students with the information of reasonable life of garments. Differences of reforming condition and satisfaction of the school uniform have been researched. The data were collected from 764 middle and high school girl students living in Daegu. Except for psychological aspect of wearing the uniform, most of satisfaction of wearing the uniform in the survey has been studied as lower ones. in line with these, overall improvement of aesthetic, economic, handling, class symbolic, movable aspects are requested to meet the needs of the students. A majority response of reforming the school the uniform once have come from middle school students, and another response of reforming the uniform twice coming from high school students are as follows : fitness of the uniform, trend, movability, expression of personality, and those of high school students are fitness of the uniform, expression of personality, trend, movability. Opportunities to have an education on how to wear school uniform appropriately have not been offered to students, and a number of the students in the survey have replied that they need to have adequate school uniform wearing education.
