  • This paper presents the development of a microcomputer-aided design program for a digital control system. The program has been written in GWBASIC language which is suitable for Intel 8086II CPU with 640KB memory. By utilizing this program, sampling time, the number of bits A/D and D/A converter, and the stability for the digital control system carl be determined, To demonstrate the utility of this program, a microcomputer controlled precision temperature control system has been employed as an example.

  • This paper presents the development of a microcomputer-aided design program for a SISO control system.   • 엘리베이터 시스템은 의치 및 속도제어를 동시에 요구하는 시tm템으로 하드웨어로 구성된 종래의 엘리베이터 시스템의 제어장치를 최근에 발달된 micro- computer의 도움으로 간단화 시킬 수 있는 가능성을 연구 보고하였다. 본 논문은 microprocessor를 이용한 controller hardware 의 구성과 본 hardware에 따른 제어방식을 설명하였고, 이 방식을 이용하여 본 시그템이 주어진 속도유선에 따라 동작하는 것을 실험을 통하여 보였다. 사용된 엘리베이터 모힌의 상태방정식을 사용한 제어프로그램을 적용하여 실험한 결과, 일반적 엘리베이터 시스템에 micro-computer가 사용될 수 있는 가능성이 있음을 보였다.

  • This study was conducted to develop an automatic nutrient control system for trickle application of nutrient solution. Temperature, electric conductivity(EC). pH and dissolved oxygen(DO) were selected as control variables. A controller using single-chip microcomputer was constructed. An automatic control system for nutrient solution and a controller using single-chip microcomputer with control algorithm were developed. The control system was tested, and could control temperature, EC and pH within the error ranges of $pm 0.2^{circ} pm 0.2mS/cm, pm 0.1pH$, respectively.

  • As a part of study on automatic control system for green houses, an automatic irrigation system was developed by using microcomputer. For the study, gypsum block was used as a sensing device of soil moisture and its data was designed to transfer to microcomputer through A/D converter. Also, software which be able to control the irrigation time and flow rate by the solenoid valve was developed. This system was tested by using practical data and the following results were summarized. 1. Since the gypsum was very accurate in addition with chiep and easy to manufacture, it turned out to be a very good device to detect the soil moisture in this system. 2. Also, solenoid valve was very excellent device for controlling the water flow rate since its control error is less then 1% when the irrigation time is over 100 seconds.

  • A design of an industrial microcomputer control system for an one-through tube boiler using oil is presented. The microcomputer system is based on standard iSBC 88/40 board. The software consist of a RTE(real time executive) and application tasks. The designed control system saves fuel and gives a more reliable over-all operation.

  • This paper describes how to improve a induction moter efficiency by a slip frequency control. Digital filter controlled by microcomputer is introduced in control system of a constant speed-drive and it has prove that the moter can be drived with a high efficiency at a constant slip frequency. The constant slip frequency control method has a merit of simplness.

  • In proportion to the capacity enlargement of the induction motor system controlled by current source inverter, the capacitance of the commutating capacitor is enlarged and then the spike value of output voltage is increased at the moment of charge and discharge. Moreover, the output currnet includes a number of harmonic components. Such voltage spike and harmonics generate the torque ripple and lead to bad effects on the performance of the induction motor. In this study, all the harmonics excluding 17th and 19th harmonics were mostly elimunated by adopting 18-phase Triple High Frequency Current Source Inverter(HFCSI), and the spike component of output voltage was reduced by adding the Voltage Clamping Circuit(VCC). As a result, the torque ripple and the commutation loss were reduced and the performance of the system was improved. Experiments for speed control were carried out in the tripple current source inverter system for induction motor drive. Overall system was controlled by ONE CHIP MICROCOMPUTER(INTEL 8751). Control circuits were simplified and good experimental results in the constant V/F control were obtained due to the flexibility of the microcomputer.

  • To convert the analog signal from the drying process into the digital signal, the interface circuit was designed and built. To measure the weight and temperature during drying process, strain gauge type load cell and temperature transducer composed of pt 100 $\Omega$ thermometers and wheatstone bridge circuits were built and used. The temperature control device was composed of photocoupler and triac. Microcomputer aided experimental convective drying system was built with above cricuits and devices. Drying characteristics of onions can be estimated using this system.
