Cutting Chip and Surface Roughness in Micro Groove Cutting of Brass (황동의 Micro Groove 가공시 절삭칩과 표면거칠기)

  • Recently optical and electric and electronic forms in the field of ultra fine patterns has been used extensively, and techniques of the optical parts are required that can precision-machine this micro-patterns such as V or R-shaped micro-groove patterns. In this study, V and R type, shaping the way micro groove brass machining process to characterize the material feed rate and cutting depth and the V and R as a variable brother, using two kinds of diamond tools for each picture shape and surface roughness caused by conditions such as chips, processed through the analysis of effects of geometry and analysis such as precision machining.

  • Resently, reduction of industrial products in size and weight has increased by the application of micro-drill for gadgets of high precision and gave rise to a great interest in a micro-drilling. Due to the lack of tool stiffness and the chip Packing, micro-drilling requires not only the robust tool structure which has not affected by the vibration, but also the effective drilling methods designed to prevent tool fracture from cutting troubles. Firstly, this paper presents a new manufacturing process of micro-drill for improving the Product rate and an optimum shape of micro-drill for lengthening the tool life, and secondly between tool life and drilling torque acquired in the inprocess monitoring system.

  • In this work, perfusive particles are used to form a micro column in a microfluidic chip and flow properties of the micro column are investigated. The packing flow velocity and the column/particle size ratio are shown to be important parameters affecting the packing density of the micro column. Experimental results show that the effect of the column/particle size ratio on the flow resistance of the micro column is negligible. This contrasts with previous works on the effect of the column/particle size ratio on the total pressure drop across the column.

  • For precise micro-grooving and surface machining, ultrasonic cyclic elliptical cutting is proposed using two parallel piezoelectric actuators. The piezoelectric actuators are energized by sinusoidal voltages of varying phase which is essenstial to generating elliptical cutting. Experimental setup is composed of ultrasonic motor, single crystal diamond cutting tool, and precise motorized xyz stage. It is confirmed experimentally that the cutting performance, in terms of the cutting force, the burr formation, and the discontinuous chip formation is improved remarkably by applying ultrasonic elliptical vibration cutting.

  • This trial is concerned with practical application of a M. C. that was injected Into the horse's muscle in order to make a effective identification by computer compatible. Following results were obtained through the study of histopathologic changes, migration of M. C. and possible problems about practical application. 1. Muscle romboideus cervicalis(site 'A') was thought to be the best Injection site of M. C. in the horse. 2. There were no the exact interface between the M. C. and surrounding tissue. It seemed to be why the implanted transponder was located in the muscle fascia. 3. No evidence of migration in the tissues was found through the radiographs taken after implantation 4. There were no clinical disorder and interference with racing performance. 5. ID 100 from Trovan, Co. had some advantages comparing with TX 1400 L from Destron, Co. These are, for instance, the long readout distance and the easy application of computer in the field practive.

  • This paper shows enhanced working performance of the battery fork-lift truck by developing the IGBT full bridge dc-dc convertor using one-chip micro-processor. The PWM pulse is generated from a 16 bit one-chip micro-processor for the speed control of DC motor. In order to ensure the operation of IGBT and motor pecewisely, IGBT gate drive circuit was designed by using current limiting IC and hige voltage limit IC. And also It is able to regenerative braking.

  • This paper presents experimental results to know the charcteristics of machined surface due to cutter runout. Cutter runout is a common but undesirable phenomenon in multi-tooth machining such as end-milling process because it introduces variable chip loading to insert which results in a accelerated tool wear, amplification of force variation and hence enargement vibration amplitude. To develop in-proess cutter runout compensation system, set-up the micro-positoning mechanism which is based on piezoelectric translator embeded in the work holder to manipulate the depth of cut in real-time. And feasibility test of system was done under the various experimental cutting conditions. This results provide lots of information to build-up the precision machining technology.

  • In industry, the speed control of single-phase induction motor in domestic use is generally controlled by a simple ON-OFF or PID control method. However, in this case, in order to have a good speed regulating characteristics, itself should be modified in accordance with the optimum PID factors which are varied each time operating speed changes. Shortening the development time and saving the cost which are needed to modify the controller is a major problem to be solved now in industry. In order to alleviate the above difficulties, it is proposed to apply adaptive control technique using MRFAC(Model Reference Following Adaptive Control) for the speed control of single-phase induction motor which has scarcely been studied. In this paper, the above speed control technique is achieved using MCS-96 one chip micro controller with a good speed control characteristics and it is expetted to open a wide application field in the speed control of single-phase induction motor in the future.

  • 1- Buildup PCB technology is utilized to a bare chip attach substrate technology for packaging of semiconductor chip 2- Requirement for the substrate design rule is described in SIA International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductor. 3- There are seven fabrication methods of build-up technology. 4- Coating and lamination for resin and photo, and laser for micro via hope processes are available. Below $50\mu\textrm{m}$ in diameter is possible. 5- Fine pitch lines down to $30\mu\textrm{m}$ can be achieved by pattern plating with better electrical property. 6- Dielectric loss reduction is a key material improvement item for next generation build-up technology. 7- High band width up to 512 GB/s is possible with current wiring groundrule.

  • This research is on a laser soldering using the micro solder-balls used in flip chip packaging process. A laser source used in laser soldering is Nd:YAG laser(250W and 60W). Solder-balls of 100, 300, $500{\mu}m$ size are used in experiments. The laser head to deliver a laser beam and the nozzle to transfer solder-balls are manufactured to bump solder-balls. After soldering solder-balls the shear test is carried out to determine the wetting at the interface between the surface and a solder-balls With the results of solder bumping tests a laminated molding is accomplished for manufacturing the three dimensional molding.
