With an expansion in automation of welding processes, emphasis has been shifted from other welding processes to the GMA welding. However, there is a problem with this process that the spatter occurs very frequently. In GMA welding, there are several types in the way of metal transfer from the electrode wire to the weld pool, which have a close relatonship with the spatter genetration. This study was concerned with the spatter occurring in the short-circuiting transfer. In welding with short-circuiting, the electromagnetic force formed by the welding current facilitatics the rupture of the metal bridge between the wire and workpiece and ensures the normal process of the welding process. However, the spatter can be genetrated from the droplet because of the upward magnetic force, when the droplet contacts with the weld pool. The passage of current through the bridge results in the accumulation of the thermal energy, which causes the bridge to explode in the final stage of short-circuiting, thus forming the spatter. Based on the above phenomena in conjunction with other experimental results published, the physical phenomenon related with the occurrence of spatter was modeled and the current waveform was investigated to reduce the spatter. Finally, the fuzzy rule based method was proposed to predict the time of short-circuiting and arcing in the metal transfer.

In this paper, a simple fabrication technique of an air-bridge for interconnection of isolated electrodes of microwave active and passive devices and MMIC's is proposed. The proposed air-bridge proceses are mainly combinations of thermal evaporation, positive photoresist and image reversal processes for easy lift-off of up to 2.0 .mu.m thick metal. According to the resutls of air-birdge processes, it is confirmed that air-gap and thickness of theair-bridge are about 3.5.mu.m, and 2.0.mu.m, respectively. And it is also possible to make the fine air-bridge with widths of 5~60.mu.m and post-intervals of 25~200.mu.m withot collapse. finally, GaAs power MESFET's and rectangular spiral inductors are fabricatd and measured in order to confirm of feasibility of the proposed air-bridge processes. The MAG of the fabricated power MESFET's is 10dB at 10GHz, and the inductance of the (200.mu. * 6 turns) rectangular spiral inductors 4.5 nH inX-band.
State of problem: Zirconia all-ceramic restoration fabricated with CAM system is on an increasing trend in dentistry. However, evaluation of the marginal and internal fits of zirconia bridge seldomly have been reported. Purpose: This study was to evaluate the at of margin and internal surface in posterior 3-unit zirconia bridge framework fabricated with CAM system(DeguDent, Germany). Material and Method: Preparations of secondary premolar and secondary molar on artificial resin model were performed for fabrication of 3-unit posterior bridge framework. Fits of 5 zirconia bridge framework were compared with 5 precious ceramo-metal alloy framework(V-GnathosPlus, Metalor, Switzerland), and prepared margins were designed to chamfer and shoulder finishing line. Each framework was cemented to epoxy resin model with reinforced glass ionomer(FujiCEM, GC Co., Japan), embedded in acrylic resin and sectioned in two planes, mesio-distal and buccolingual. Samples were divided into six pieces by sectioning and had two pieces of each surface(i.e mesial, distal, buccal and lingual surface) per abutment, so there were eight measuring points in each abutment. External gap was measured at the margin and internal gaps were measured at the margin, axial and occlusal surface. Gaps were observed under the measuring microscope(Compact measuring microscope STM5; Olympus, Japan) at a magnification of $\times100$. T-test were used to determine the statistic significance of the different gaps between zirconia and metal framework. Results and Conclusion: 1. External and internal marginal gaps of zirconia and metal framework were in clinically acceptable range. External marginal gaps were not different significantly between zirconia$(81.9{\mu}m)$ and metal $(81.3{\mu}m)$ framework and internal marginal gaps of zirconia $(44.6{\mu}m)$ were smaller than those of metal framework $(58.6{\mu}m)$. 2. Internal axial gaps of zirconia framework$(96.7{\mu}m)$ were larger than those of metal frame-work$(78.1{\mu}m)$ significantly and adversely, internal occlusal gaps of zirconia frame-work$(89.4{\mu}m)$ were smaller than those of metal framework $(104.9{\mu}m)$ significantly. 3. There were no significant differences in external and internal marginal gaps between chamfer and shoulder finish line when zirconia frameworks were fabricated.
Statement of problem : Use of fiber composite technology as well as development of nonmetal implant prosthesis solved many problems due to metal alloy substructure such as corrosion. toxicity, difficult casting, expensiveness and esthetic limit. After clinical and laboratory test, we could find out that fiber-reinforced composite prostheses have good mechanical properties and FRC can make metal-free implant prostheses successful. Purpose : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the flexural strength of implant fixed prosthesis using fiber reinforced composite. Material and methods : 2-implant fixture were placed in second premolar and second molar area in edentulous mandibular model, and their abutments were placed, and bridge prostheses using gold, PFG, Tescera, and Targis Vectris were fabricated. Tescera was made in 5 different designs with different supplements. Group I was composed by 3 bars with diameter 1.0mm and 5 meshes, 2 bars and 5 meshes for Group II, 1 bar and 5 meshes for Group III, and only 5 meshes were used for Group IV. And Group V is composed by only 3 bars. Resin (Tescera) facing was made to buccal part of pontic of gold bridge. All of gold and PFG bridges were made on one model, 5 Targis Vectris bridges were also made on one model, and 25 Tescera bridges were. made on 3 models. Each bridge was attached to the test model by temporary cement and shallow depression was formed near central fossa of the bridge pontic to let 5 mm metal ball not move. Flexual strength was marked in graph by INSTRON. Results : The results of the study are as follows. The initial crack strength was the highest on PFG. and in order of gold bridge Tescera I, Tescera II, Targis vectris, Tescera IV, Tescera III, and Tescera V. The maximum strength was the highest on gold bridge, and in order of PFG, Tescera I, Tescera IV Tescera II, Targis vectris, Tescera III, and Tescera V. Conculsions : The following conclusions were drawn from the results of this study. 1. Flextural strength of implant prosthesis using fiber reinforced composite was higher than average posterior occlusal force. 2. In initial crack strength, Tescera I was stronger than Tescera V, and weaker than PFG. 3. Kinds and number of auxillary components had an effect on maximum strength, and maximum strength was increased as number of auxillary components increased. 4 Maximum strength of Tescera I was higher than Targis vectris, and lower than PFG.

Deep drawing process, one of sheet metal forming methods, is used widely. Circular or square shape blanks are currently studied mainly. Especially, circular blank for coating case of chip condenser remains bridges when it is made out of aluminum coil. The bridge reduces Material-withdrawal-rate of aluminum coil to $60\%$. This paper proposes a no-bridge blank instead of circular blank. To get the different values of two cases, comparison circular blank with no-bridge blank is accomplished in the point of thickness strain in the vicinity of flange. In order to find optimal condition in new proposed blank, several process variables - those are blank holder shape, die shape radii, punch shape radii and blank holding force - are changed.

This paper aims to examine baes metal alloy in all its aspects - the roles of elements, the content of every element according to uses, characters, laboratory technique methods and the kind of artificial base metal alloy registered in A.D.A. Specification. The results are as follows; 1. Base metal alloy is used widely bacaues it is rather cheap, but it should be handled appropriately in operating because its quality is bad. 2. Classifying base metal alloy, it is classified into Co-Cr alloy, Ni-Cr alloy, and Ni-Cr-Co alloy according to element, it is classified into partial denture alloy, surgical alloy and crown & bridge alloy according to use. 3. Among elements of base metal alloy, Bellium lowers the melting point of the alloy and increases the strength, but the amount should be limited when it is used because it destroys the organization of a living body. 4. The investments for base metal alloy are ethyl silcate bonded investment and phosphate bonded investment which endure well at high burn out temperature. 5. A.D.A specification No.14 in Kore contains Niranium, Nobilium, regalloy, Ticonium and Vitallium.

We present an air bridge type electrode system with tunable electrode distance for detecting electroactive biomolecules. It is known that the narrower gap between electrode fingers, the higher sensitivity in IDA (interdigitated array) electrode. In previous researches on IDA electrode, narrower patterning required much precise and expensive equipment as the gap goes down to nanometer scale. In this paper, an improved method is suggested to replace nano gap pattering with downsizing electrode distance and showed that the patterning can be replaced by thickness control using metal deposition methods, such as electroplating or metal sputtering. The air bridge type electrode was completed by the following procedures: gold patterning for lower electrode, copper electroplating, gold deposition for upper electrode, photoresist patterning for gold film support, and copper etching for space formation. The thickness of copper electroplating is the distance between upper and lower electrodes. Because the growth rate of electroplating is $0.5{\mu}m\;min^{-1}$, the distance is tunable up to hundreds of nanometers. Completed electrodes on the same wafer had $5{\mu}m$ electrode distance. The gaps between fingers are 10, 20, 30, and $40{\mu}m$ and the widths of fingers are 10, 20, 30, 40, and $50{\mu}m$. The air bridge type electrode system showed better sensitivity than planar electrode.
