Objectives : It aims to establish a basic rule in Korean translation of the pathway of lung meridian in Miraculous Pivot Meridian vessel. Based on the rule, We tried to make standard translation of the pathway of lung meridian in Miraculous Pivot Meridian vessel. Methods : Books needed for this study were collected through searching Kyunghee University Library(http:// khis.khu.ac.kr). Keywords included "Miraculous Pivot of Huangdi's Internal Classic". We also include the book which is generally used as a textbook in Colleges of Korean Medicine. Results : In five Chinese books, the word-spacing was used differently in four phrases. Six Korean-translated books had the different translation in three phrases. We suggested a standard Korean translation of the pathway of lung meridian in Miraculous Pivot Meridian vessel. Conclusions : This result of the study would be expected to not only be published in Korean Journal of Acupuncture but be studied more about Korean translation by experts in this field.

The essence of meridian collateral and acupoints is an overall physiologic unction with the level of multiple unctional states. However it is a pity that until present, so in this paper described about some experimental results of physical reactions of meridian and acupoints. In order to verify meridian pathway and channel theory of energy in body. It is suppose that substance of meridian is pathway channel of the meridian materials. In basic examination, It was analyzed spectrum of reflection waves after beat or continuos vibrate to meridian point and non-meridian point meridian line and non-meridian line. The characteristics of reflection waves similar to flow channel in hydrodynamic. So it be able to suggest that the meridian is pathway and channel in body.

Objectives : In the meridian pathway system, 5 yang meridians excluding bladder meridian pass ST12. In this study, we tried to find out why 5 yang meridians pass ST12. Methods : 15 classics of acupuncture and moxibustion literature - 『Huangdimingtangjingjixiao』, 『Zhenjiujiayijing』, 『Huangdineijingtaisu』, 『Beijiqianjinyaofang』, 『Waitaimiyaofang』, 『Ishimpo』, 『Taipingshenghuifang』, 『Tongrenshuxue-zhenjiutujing』, 『Zhenjiuzishengjing』, 『Shisijingfahui』, 『Zhenjiujuying』, 『Yixuerumen』, 『Zhenjiudacheng』, 『Leijing』, and 『Leijingtuyi』- were reviewed and compared. Results : Five yang meridians passed ST12, and large intestine meridian and triple energizer meridian were closely related to ST12 in divergent channels. Stomach meridian and gall bladder meridian were related to ST12 in meridian muscles. ST12 was related to small intestine meridian in main cure effect. ST12 is in the best position to enter the body cavity. Conclusions : It can be seen that ST12 is closely related to all internal organs through the characteristics of stomach meridian. Therefore, it is thought that ST12's various characteristics largely explains a pathway to enter the body cavity in the hand and foot three yang meridians.

Objectives : This study was performed to understand the interrelation between 'Foot three yang meridian-muscle' and 'muscular system'. Methods : We have researched some of the literatures on Meridian-muscle theory, anatomical muscular system, myofascial pain syndrome and anatomy trains. And especially we have compared myofascial pain syndrome to anatomy trains and researched what kind of relationship is exist between them. Results : It is considered that Foot taeyang meridian-muscle includes Abductor digiti minimi m., Gastrocnemius m., Biceps femoris m., Longissimus m., Omohyoid m., Occipital m., Frontal m., Orbicularis oculi m., Trapezius m., Sternocleidomastoid m., Sternohyoid m., Zygomaticus m. Foot soyang meridian-muscle includes Dorsal interosseus m., Tendon of extensor digitorum longus m., Extensor digitorum longus m., Iliotibial band, Vastus lateralis m., Piriformis m., Tensor fasciae latae m., Internal abdominal oblique m., External abdominal oblique m,, Internal intercostal m., External intercostal m., Pectoralis major m., Sternocleidomastoid m., Posterior auricular m., Temporal m., Masseter m., Orbicularis oculi m. Foot yangmyung meridian-muscle includes Extensor digitorum longus m., Vastus lateralis m., Iliotibial band, Iliopsoas m., Anterior tibial m., Rectus femoris m., Sartorius m., Rectus abdominis m., Pectoralis major m., Internal intercostal m., External intercostal m., Sternocleidomastoid m., Masseter m., Levator labii superioris m., Zygomatic major m., Zygomatic minor m., Orbicularis oculi m., Buccinator m. and the symptoms of Foot three yang meridian-muscle are similar to the myofascial pain syndrome. Superficial back line in anatomy trains is similar to the pathway of Foot taeyang meridian-muscle. Lateral Line in anatomy trains is similar to the pathway of Foot soyang meridian-muscle. Superficial Front Arm Line in anatomy trains is similar to the pathway of Foot yangmyung meridian-muscle. Conclusions : There is some difference between myofascial pain syndrome and meridian-muscle theory in that the former explains each muscle individually, while the latter classifies muscular system in the view of integrated organism. More studies are needed in anatomy and physiology to support the integration of muscular system of Foot three yang meridian-muscle in aspect of anatomy trains.

The meridians pathway on the hand and neck studies connection with craniospinal nerve to obtain result fellowing items. 1. Large Intestine Meridian of Hand-yang ming, Small Intestine Meridian of Hand-tai yang. Triple Warmer Meridian of Meridian of Foot-tai yang, was hollow organs and its had connected branches of the trigeminal nerve and fasial nerve, cervical nerve plexus. 2. The Triple warmer meridian pathway around ear connection supersecial temporlal branch. zygomatic branch. buccal branch mandlibular branch, cervical branch of the fasial nerve. 3. The stomach meridian foot-yang ming orginate from the glabella of the frontal bone, and connection supraorbital, frontal branches of the opthalamic nerve in headach. 4. The original cell of the trigeminal nerve, and fasial nerve the medulla oblongata and pons.

This study analyze of reflection wave to Acoustic stimulation on acupoints and contrast parts for objectification of the meridian substance. In order to verify meridian pathway and channel theory of bio-energy in body. It was analyzed response characteristic of reflection waves after acoustic stimulation by sound wave of 5 specific tones. The response characteristics of reflection are measured by the average current magnitude of meridian. The current variation ratio are Live Meridian(gung) 33.2%, Heart Meridian(sang) 30.7%, Kidney Meridian (gak) 33.1%, Spleen Meridian(chi) 33.9%, Lung Meridian (wo) 30.7% compare with contrast parts (non-acupoint and meridian). Therefore meridian is distinguished to non-meridian and 5 vital meridians have relationship with sound wave of 5 specific tones.

Study of the fourteen meridians that include name of P'ung(風) point. The results were summarized as follows. 1. Pyongp'ung(秉風) is located middle of the supraspinatous fossa(Small intestine Meridian, 手太陽小腸經). we can cute the local area disease and also use to cure the pathway of the Arm greater yang small intestine which is attacked by P'ung(風) disease. 2. Yep'ung(翳風) is located behind the lobule of the auricle, in the depression between the mastoid process and the mandible(Triple Energizer Meridian, 手少陽三焦經). we can cure the local area disease especially hyper yang disease and also use to cure the pathway of the Arm lesser yang triple energizer which is attacked by P'ung(風) and Yo'l(熱) disease. 3. P'ungmun(風門) is located 1.5 chon beside the lower end of the spine of the second thoracic vertebra(Bladder Meridian, 足太陽膀胱經). we can cure the local area disease and also use to cure the pathway of the Leg greater yang bladder which is attacked by P'ung(風) disease. 4. P'ungbu(風府) is located 1 chon above the middle of natural line of the hair at the back of the head, in the depression below the occiptal protuberance(Governor meridian, 督脈). It connects (Liver meridian, 足厥陰肝經) and Yin Link Vessel(陽維脈). we can cure the rigidity and pain in head and nape which is related Yin Link Vessel(陽維脈). 5. P'ungshi(風市) is located on the lateral part of the thigh, 7 hon above the patella(From the greater trochanter to the knee joint is 19 chon, Gallbladder Meridian (足少陽膽經). we can cure the local area disease(leg, knee, etc). 6. P'ungji(風池) is located Below the occipital bone, in the depression on the outer part of the trapezius muscle(Gallbladder Meridian, 足少陽膽經) on a level with P'ungbu(風府) (Governor vessel, 督脈). we can cure the local area disease and also use to cure the pathway of the Leg lesser yang gall bladder which is attacked by P'ung(風) disease.

In oriental medicine, meridian is pathway of bio-energy, and basic an object of diagnosis/therapy. But, in western medicine, meridian has been accepted as action pathway of nerve-endocrine-immune system. Acupuncture effect has been regarded as not effect by transmission of bio-energy but action or response by stimulation. In this paper, when an acupuncturist's bio-energy is passed on(non-insulation) and when is not(insulation), we analysed electric potential on meridian/non-meridian to verify effect of acupuncture therapy. In the results, when bio-energy isn't passed on, bio-potential is reacted to only the first of 4 times acupuncture operating. But when bio-energy is passed on, it is reacted to 4 times, and potential on meridian is higher than that of on non-meridian. Electric potential for same acupuncture operating is different on non/meridians, which implies that physiological construction and bio-energy transmission material is different respectively. When is extracting acupuncture method, potential is higher than that of injection one. It implies that extracting method is more effect than injecting one, in aspect of acupuncture therapy effect. Therefore, acupuncture therapy effect is verified as effect of response by acupuncturist's bio-energy transmission rather than that by only acupuncture stimulus.

Objective & Methods: This study is performed to understand the interrelation between 'Foot yangmyung meridian-muscle' and 'muscular system'. We studied the literatures on Meridian-muscle theory, anatomical muscular system, myofascial pain syndrome and the theory of anatomy trains. Results & Conclusion: 1. It is considered that Foot yangmyung meridian-muscle includes extensor digitorum longus m., tibialis anterior m., quadriceps femoris m., rectus abdominis m., pectoralis major m., sternocleidomastoid m., platysma m., orbicular oris m., zygomaticus major m., zygomaticus minor m., masseter m., Gluteus medius m., and Obliquus externus abdominis m. 2. The symptoms of Foot yangmyung meridian-muscle are similar to the myofascial pain syndrome with referred pain of extensor digitorum longus m., tibialis anterior m., quadriceps femoris m., rectus abdominis m., obliquus abdominis m., masseter m. 3. Superficial frontal line in anatomy trains is similar to the pathway of Foot yangmyung meridian-muscle, and more studies are needed in anatomy and physiology to support the continuity of muscular system of Foot yangmyung meridian-muscle in aspect of anatomy trains.

The purpose of this study is to show data for protocol design which will be able to change body shape using the measured value before and after Meridian Scraping Massage with the Martin-type anthropometer through experiment result and questionnaire. The data analysis was done by paired-sample t-test using SPSS program and today, Meridian Scraping Therapy is being applied by various instruments which use meridian pathway and spots on the body suitable for acupuncture which promote blood circulation by eliminating toxin and maintaining body fluids balance. And they have such merit as easy to buy material and perform operation without side effect only if understanding massage principal.
