This study presents the global star formation efficiency (SFE) of 272 local star-forming galaxies based on the HI gas mass, stellar mass, star formation rate (SFR), and morphology. The SFE increases as the stellar mass increases while the specific SFR decreases. The SFE is enhanced for galaxies with large H$\acute{a}$ equivalent widths, which is primarily due to the large SFR, not due to the large available amount of gas. The SFE is also enhanced by a factor of ~2 for merging systems compared to the normal spirals, showing that the merger-induced high pressure and density environment are crucial for the active star formation. Based on the SFR scaling relation, I present a SFR calibration formula using the HI gas mass.

As a futuristic construction model, building information model(BIM) based project management system(PMIS) and mobile PMIS have been showing visible sign. However, researches on the 3D BIM based PMIS using mobile device are hard to find, result from limitation of mobile device application(slow speed at huge BIM file, display size, and etc.) and undefined standard of business processes. Therefore, this research aims at studying feasibility of mobile BIM PMIS based on cloud computing as a business model. In case of applying mobile BIM PMIS, 3D drawings and integrated building informations are possible on mobile devices in real time. it would support increasing the productivity of project participants as designer, engineer, supervisor, and etc. Globally, BIM based PMIS and Mobile BIM system, cloud computing based mobile BIM simulator are in the concept or experimental phase, therefore it is possible to secure global leading technology of IT and construction merger in the mobile BIM.

Shock waves form in the intergalactic medium as a consequence of accretion, merger, and turbulent motion during the structure formation of the universe. They not only heat gas but also govern non-thermal processes through the acceleration of cosmic rays (CRs), production of magnetic fields, and generation of vorticity. We examine diffusive shock acceleration of the pre-existing as well as freshly injected populations of nonthermal, CR particles at weak cosmological shocks. Since the injection is extremely inefficient at weak shocks, the pre-existing CR population dominates over the injected population. If the pressure due to pre-existing CR protons is about 5 % of the gas thermal pressure in the upstream flow, the downstream CR pressure can absorb typically a few to 10 % of the shock ram pressure at shocks with the Mach number M<3. Yet, the re-acceleration of CR electrons can result in a substantial synchrotron emission behind the shock. The implication of our findings for observed bright radio relics is discussed.

We present elemental abundances of 95 blue compact dwarf galaxies (BCDs) at z=0.2~0.35 using the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) DR7. We derived element abundances using Te method. We found that nitrogen abundance of merging BCDs are more enriched than normal BCDs by fast rotating young massive star. On the other hand, neon and oxygen abundances for merging BCDs are slightly lower than the normal BCDs. This might be result from the dilution by metal-poor gas infall during the interaction. This means that merging BCDs undergone star formation event for a long time than normal BCDs and we trying to explain using STARLIGHT code and various star formation rates (SFRs) ratios. At a result, merging BCDs have older stellar population (>10 Myr) more than normal BCDs and have clear distinction in elements abundances versus Ha/UV diagram. We also discuss the characteristics of post merger candidate using FUV to NUV ratios.

The aim of this study is to investigate present situation about occurrence of surplus classrooms by the merger and abolition of rural elementary schools, and to deduce basic architectural data for efficient utilization. It was examined based on the analysis of using pattern and interview of teachers of modernized elementary model schools. The occurrence ratio of surplus classrooms was about 30 to 60 percentages among seven investigated schools, the ratio was gradually increasing. Most of them were nearly leaving without certain practical use because of inaccessibility and low degree of diversion. The characteristic about diversion of surplus classroom was shown to change from special or learning room to living-related room and management-related room in order, finally, it was used a room for child care with a lapse of time. Long-tenn and continuous data accumulation for diversion and utilization of surplus classroom should be required.

시장구조와 혁신의 가치간 관계를 구명하는 것은 경쟁과 STI 정책수행에 중요하다. 만일 혁신의 가치가 특정 시장구조에서 상승된다면 정부는 해당 산업의 시장구조를 변화시킬 수 있다. 선형수요와 고정된 한계비용의 경우, 꾸르노 경쟁에서의 major와 minor 기술혁신에 대한 인센티브가 합병과 공동 연구개발의 경우보다 더 작다는 결과를 단순한 캘리브레이션을 통해 도출할 수 있다. 이는 또다시 독점이 필요악임을 시사한다.

본 연구는 생산 공장, 거점창고, 지역창고, 대리점으로 이어지는 일련의 SCM상에서 효율적인 제품수송을 위한 중간창고의 통폐합을 실데이터를 이용하여 물류비 절감 사례를 보여주고 있다. 이를 위해 현재 S사의 물류운영 상황을 제품수송의 관점에서 파악하고 정리한다. 이를 통하여 총물류비의 계산식을 도출하며 현재의 물류비를 계산한다. 총물류비 절감을 위한 휴리스틱적인 방법을 이용하여 총물류비가 최소화되는 거점창고, 지역창고의 수를 결정한다. 마지막으로 결정된 거점창고와 지역창고의 총물류비를 계산함으로써 제안 안의 효율성을 기술하고 있다.

This paper looks at the integration of regions and nations through the prism of the merger of populations (societies). The paper employs a particular index of social stress. Stylized examples of the merging of two populations suggest that with integration, the social stress index will increase. The examples form the basis for the development of new formulas for calculating the social stress of an integrated population as a function of the levels of social stress of the constituent populations when apart. The formulas reveal that the social stress of an integrated population is higher than the sum of the levels of social stress of the constituent populations when apart. This raises the distinct possibility that the merging of populations may be a social liability: integration may fail to give the populace a sense of improved wellbeing.

Much effort has been made in the radiometric calibration of the ocean scanning multispectral imager (OSMI) since after the successful launch of KOMPSAT-1 in 1999. A series of calibration coefficients for OSMI detectors were obtained in collaboration with the NASA Sensor Intercomparison and Merger for Biological and Interdisciplinary (SIMBIOS) project office. In this study, we compare the OSMI level-2 products (e.g., chlorophyll-a concentration) calculated from the NASA cross-calibration coefficients with the SeaWiFS counterparts. Sample study areas are some of diagonostic data sites recommended by the SIMBIOS working group. We will present the preliminary results of this comparative study.
