As competition in manufacturing enterprise is contested, the scope of safely production planning, manufacturing enterprise should ensure, has been reduced. The more upstream of SCM, the more reduction of scope of production planning. As a result, order fluctuation is more sharply contested. Through improving the logistics network, it is best way that the end user's demand information is conveyed to upstream of SCM, but it is difficult in fact. In this paper, it mention the way of robustic adjustment, in the suppliers' point of view, the end user's demand information is dammed up, as they postpone responding the customer's order as a possible. And it will show the result of appling the way, as a case study.

Most of rock slopes contain a lot of discontinuities which have a specific direction and various characteristics. In general, the collapses of the rock slopes occur when the sliding dip of the discontinuity is higher than the internal friction angle and also smaller than the free-air plane of the slope. If a general slope theory is only considered in the case of field exploration of the slopes, there is a possibility that dangerous slopes might be estimated as stable slopes. We mention problems that can easily fail to notice something in field exploration and propose the alternatives to solve the problems through the case studies.

Online game industry is one of the most value added industry and continues to grow rapidly nowadays. This paper classifies the diffusion patterns of online games according to online game genre, estimates coefficients of innovation and imitation using Bass model, extracts the Bass-based adoption life cycle model which reflects the properties of each game, and then analyzes the diffusion pattern of each game. Through the research on the diffusion pattern of online games, if we can identify the characteristics of changing market and consumers in accordance with the product life cycle, we will provide the implications to the marketing strategy, which have to change at every stage of adoption life cycle, not to mention to investment plan.

Nonparametric tests for comparing two treatments when data are subject to unequal patterns of censorship are discussed. Best precedence test proposed by Slud can be viewed as a nice alternative test comparing with weighted log-rank tests, not to mention the advantage of short experimental period. This research revises some missing parts of Slud's test and examines the asymptotic power of it under the nonproportional hazard alternatives through the simulation. The simulation studies show best precedence test has reasonable power in the sense of robustness under nonproportional hazard alternatives and could be recommended at such situation.

There are a lot of roots of errors in an motion of the optical pick-up actuator being one of the most significant components in a CD-ROM drive. Most of the studies recently performed have a tendency to seek for the causes from an actuator itself. This paper present the dynamic characteristics of an actuator affected by the motion of a feeding deck. The feeding system is modeled as a rigid body with eight degree-of-freedom. Using Largrange's equation, we derive the linear equations of motion with respect to the rectangular coordinate. We found the fact that the ranges of the natural frequencies of a feeding deck and an actuator are close to each other. And the time responses are also computed by the Newmark method and Runge-Kutta method.

Although there are some questions about the venues of adult neurogenesis, it is undoubtedly accepted that new neurons are born in adult brains. Adult neurogenesis is regulated by a wide array of factors. Insults harmful to brain, such as neurodegenerative diseases, seizure, ischemia and exposure to drugs of abuse, are intricately related to adult neurogenesis. Whereas neurodegenerative diseases are characterized by death or functional loss of specific neurons, recent studies report that they can be accompanied by neurogenesis. In addition, alcohol and drugs of abuse which have been reputed to cause irreversible damage to brain can also generate newly born cells in adult brain. As yet, however, we have little knowledge of the functional significance and roles of adult neurogenesis under pathological settings, not to mention under physiological settings. Accordingly, in this review we briefly summarize the results of studies which focus on adult neurogenesis in insulted brain, instead of trying to draw hurried conclusion regarding the relationship between adult neurogenesis and brain insults.

When there ate several classes of customers demanding service times with different distributions at some stations of a queueing network, the stability problem becomes suddenly complicated compared with the single class case. Recently many researchers had tried to find some kind of stability conditions for multiclass queueing networks, but did not get significant results except in very limited 2-station cases. In this study, we try to develop some dynamic control techniques which can guarantee the stability under the nominal traffic condition. Our approach includes the randomization method and the leaky bucket control scheme. Also, we mention other possibilities such as the discrete-review approach and the generalized round-robin technique. Both theoretical and experimental results will be presented.

While performing the overseas projects in developing countries under EDCF loans with Korean civil design engineers as a project manager, I often used to find out and realize that lots of Korean engineers are not fully aware of what EDCF means and how EDCF funded projects are being implemented in developing countries. This implies that in the past, they have been concentrating on domestic projects only, not to mention have the rare opportunities to work in overseas projects. For these reasons, no wonder they neither pay a careful attention to the unfamiliar terms nor intend to try to realize them, even though such terms are fundamentals and important in overseas design works. With 'something will make it do'-like-attitude in our mind on site, nothing helps us at all. To help those who would like to understand and participate in overseas civil design works in developing countries under EDCF loans either as participants or as a future project manager, I introduce what EDCF means and how the procedure under these loans is being carried out, and they are briefly described herein this paper.

This study deals with 'Sachlichkeit' , as essence of materiality that architectural building materials process, which forms the physical basis for actual building. There have beennu merous researches that deals with various elements that compose architecture, but the emphasis seemed to be concentrated on the meta-physical discussion concerning formal concept. An issue on sachlichkeit as materiality does not necessary mean to mention production process of architecture, rather it is aim of this study to seek possibility to find elements that generate architectural form, through interpreting meaning of materials as substructure generator to make architectural possible. Architectural act can be defined as a process where physical material in life is composed into architecture by the hands of architect. Material used in life is composed into architecture by the hands of architect. Material used in this process basically has neutral characteristic, so 'Sachlichkeit'solely depends on the intentions of architects. This study interprets the intention of architects through the frame of modern-basis proposed by Hilberseimer, and a result architecture is defined as an object projected by architect's subjectivity.

This paper presents compact low frequency ultra-wide band (UWB) sensor design and study of the partial discharge diagnosis by sensing electromagnetic pulse emitted from the partial discharge source with the newly designed UWB sensor. In this study, we designed a new type of compact low frequency UWB sensor based on microstrip antenna technology to detect both the low frequency and high frequency band of the partial discharge signal. Experiments of offline PD testing on medium voltage (22.9kV) underground cable mention the comparative results with the traditional HFCT as a reference sensor in the laboratory. In the series of comparative tests, the calibration signal injection test provided with the conventional IEC 60270 method and high voltage injection testing are included.
