동충하초 첨가식빵의 저장기간에 따른 이화학적. 텍스쳐 특성 (Physicochemical and Texture of Bread added Paecilomyces japonica according to Storage Period)

  • For a period of 5 days, the quality of breads with Paecilomyces japonica powder were investigated using chemical, sensory, and mechanical evaluations at $25^{\circ}C$. The result of analysis of chemical properties revealed that the pH value of dough was increased as the amount of Paecilomyces japonica powder increased, but volume of dough and baking loss rate were decreased. Breads with 1% and 2% Paecilomyces japonica powder showed a good overall preference in sensory evaluation. As storing time passed. moisture content, lightness, and redness were decreased in all breads, but yellowness increased. Hardness and gumminess of texture analysis were increased as storing time passed, but springiness decreased. Springiness of the mechanical properties was negatively correlated with pH value of dough and volume of bread, while was positively correlated with volume of dough and baking loss rate. In the analysis of correlation between sensory and mechanical properties showed that hardness of mechanical properties had negative correlation with softness, moistness, and springiness. Cohesiveness of mechanical properties had positive correlation with acceptability.

  • Although tribological behavior of Si incorporated DLC films have been intensely investigated, their mechanical properties were not consistent among previous publications. The present work reported the structural change by adding Si, and their effects on the mechanical properties. Si incoporated DLC films were deposited using mixtures of benzene and diluted silane with hydrogen of various volume fractions. We could obtain the films of $X_{si}$ (defined by the Si fraction without considering hydrogen) ranging from 0.01 to 0.21, and found that the mechanical properties of the films changed significantly in the range less than $X_{si}=0.06$. In this range, the hardness and stress increased with Xsi. For higher content of Si, the hardness and stress showed saturated behavior with $X_{si}$. This behavior was discussed in terms of the changes in atomic bond structures.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the thermal embrittlement and the mechanical properties of 2.25Cr-1Mo steel aged at high temperature for the extended periods. Original, aged artificiall y and used material were tested to obtain the tensile strength, hardness and impact absorbed energy. Tensile strength, hardness and impact absorbed energy decreased with the increasing aging time. The carbide morphology with the thermal embrittlement was found to contribute to the mechanical property change by X-Ray diffraction method.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the structure and mechanical properties of laser-processed pads on their polishing behavior such as their removal rate and WIWNU (within wafer non-uniformity) during the chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) process. The holes on the pad acted as the reservoir of slurry particles and enhanced the removal rate. Without grooves, no effective removal of wafers was possible. When the length of the circular-type grooves was increased, higher removal rates and lower wafer non-uniformity were measured. The removal rate and non-uniformity linearly increased as the elastic modulus of the top pad increased. Higher removal rates and lower non-uniformity were measured as the hardness of the pad increased.

  • It is important not only to reduce the casting defects of piston but also to improvement in the mechanical properties(hardness) of piston for the air compressor. The blow hole is typical casting defects in the conventional cast of aluminium alloy(AC8A-T6) piston. Because of the heat treatment method, mechanical properties of the aluminium alloy for piston was decided on the heat treatment method and cycle. Therefore, we tested on the development of mechanical properties and on the casting defects of piston for the air compressor in accordance with the heat treatment and casting condition. After the heat treatment and casting was carried out as several times, and was compared with the imported piston. As a result of several investigations; microstructure, hardness and casting defects of piston was changed under the influence of the heat treatment and casting method. When the cooling rate was controlled and the uni-cast method used, it bas the same mechanical properties and microstructure.

  • In this study, we investigated the effect of thermal aging on mechanical characteristics of Inconel 600 nickel-based alloy. The thermal aging was conducted up to 1000 hours at an atmosphere of $650^{\circ}C$. The microstructure of thermally aged specimens was investigated by an optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS). In addition, tensile test (strain rate: 2 mm/min) and micro Vickers hardness test were conducted to evaluate mechanical properties with time. As a result of the experiment, Cr-rich carbide continuously precipitated during thermal aging, leading to the change of the mechanical characteristics and fracture mode. With the increase of aging time, tensile strength, yield strength, and hardness gradually decreased. The fracture mode changed from ductile to brittle with the increase of grain boundary carbide.

  • In this paper, an experimental study has been carried out to develop an aluminum forged piston which has good mechanical properties. Through the experiment, the cavity filling, microstructure and mechanical properties of the final product are investigated with respect to chosen process parameters, which are die shape, heat-treatment condition and preform shape. The mechanical properties of the forged piston are compared with these of the cast piston. As the results, an appropriate die-shape is obtained to produce a perfect piston. The suitable heat-treatment condition and preform-shape are found to good hardness and minute microstructure in the forged piston. And we could obtain the mechanical properties(tensile strength, elongation and hardness) of the forged piston are superior to these of the cast piston.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the relationship between the mechanical properties and damping capacity of thermo-mechanical treated 316L stainless steel. Dislocations, ${\varepsilon}$ and ${\alpha}^{\prime}$-martensites were formed by thermo-mechanical treatment, and the grain size was changed from micrometer to sub-micrometer by 5-cycled thermo-mechanical treatment. The volume fraction of dislocations, ${\varepsilon}$ and ${\alpha}^{\prime}$-martensites was increased, and grain size of austenite increased and lengthened by the with increasing cycle number of thermo-mechanical treatment. In 5-cycled specimens, the volume fraction of ${\alpha}^{\prime}$-martensite was more than 25% and the less than 5% of volume fraction of ${\varepsilon}$-martensite was attained. With increasing number of thermo-mechanical treatment, hardness, strength and damping capacity were increased, but elongation was decreased. Damping capacity was increased with increased hardness and strength, but decreased with increased elongation, and this result was the opposite tendency for general metal.

  • In this research, we verify the relations between the mechanical hardness of a strip and the output of Residual Magnetic Flux Detector, which is installed in the end side of #2 CAL. First, we install the strip speed detector and get a hardness signal and a speed signal 2 seconds, and then do signal processing and send an output to a printer every 30 seconds. The system that performs above functions is Magnetic Hardness Data Acquisition & Processing System. We got the relation between output current and hardness for the strip of T3 BP through on-line tests. Seconds, we made a hardness Measurement Simulator and observed the speed characteristics of residual magnetic flux, with using it.

PZT-PYW 세라믹스의 조성변화가 경도 및 인성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Composition on the Hardness and Toughness in PZT-PYW Ceramics)

  • In this paper, a change of fracture toughness and hardness in PZT-PYW ceramics system before and after poling treatment was measured to investigate the effect of composition on the mechanical properties in PZT-PYW ceramics. The hardness of the PZT-PYW ceramics increased with increasing mole fraction of PYW. The fracture toughness achieved maximum values for x=0.03. Both of the hardness and the fracture toughness also increased with poling treatment. The variation of both hardness and fracture toughness with increasing PYW mole fracture was explained by the change in microstructures such as grain size and second phase. The difference in hardness and fracture toughness in the electrically poled and unpoled specimens was also explained on the bases of internal stress.
