급경사 만곡부 하도의 2차원 수리특성 해석 (Analysis of Two Dimensions Hydraulic Characteristic in Steep Meandering Channel)

  • This study analyzed two dimensions hydraulic characteristic for actual flood events in steep meandering channel. It could get analysis results as follows; A water level difference of downstream more great than one of upstream at inner and outer of meandering channel. It judged that a significance of downstream level could appear more greatly in meandering channel bank, hydraulic structure and flood inundation analysis. As velocity and depth analysis was shown that much amount flow passing fast velocity happened in meandering channel, it could help establishment of meandering channel bank. In this study, the results of two dimension hydraulic analysis results could help a counterpaln establishment for the flood inundation and bank collapse.

″Drifting Cups on a Meandering Stream″in Korea

  • The Posuk-Chung Pavilion if a defunct irregular stone water channel in Kyongju, Korea, once used for the meandering stream feast'by kings of Silla Dynasty during the first millennium. The poets were seated around this stone water channel who composed the Chinese poems, overlooking the streams. They load to take the punishment drinks unless they finished the poem before the drifting cup filled with the rice wine arrived at their seats on the meandering stream. In this paper, we have made computer simulation as well as well as model experiment on the ancient meandering stream of the Posuk-Chung Pavilion. The computational results are compared with the experiment and the channel flow characteristics are delineated here. It is discussed how the present Posuk-Chung channel is morphologically distinguished from the Chinese and Japanese meandering streams.

Stress-Sensors with High-Sensitivity Using the Combined Meandering-Patterns

  • In this work, the combined meandering-pattern stress-sensors were presented in order to achieve the high sensitivity of stress sensors. Compared to the previous works, which have been using the single meandering-pattern stress-sensors, the sensitivity was approximately observed to increase by 30%~70%. Also, in this paper, more simple and convenient stress-measurement method was presented.

사행하천에서의 흐름특성 비교에 관한 연구 (A Study of Flow Characteristics in Meandering River)

  • 제방의 붕괴로 인하여 인명 및 재산상의 막대한 피해가 발생한다. 제방의 붕괴는 월류 및 침식에 의한 붕괴가 대부분을 차지하고 있으나 이에 대한 분석이 제대로 이루어지지 않고 있다. 사행하천에서의 흐름특성은 하천제방과 관련하여 실용적인 관점에서 연구하여야 하는 하천 수리학에서는 중요한 주제이다. 사행하천에서는 회전방향이 교호적으로 바뀌는 나선형의 흐름(2차류)이 3차원적으로 발생하는 것으로 알려져 있다.. 이에 본 연구에서는 2차원 CCHE2D모형과 3차원 FLOW3D모형을 이용하여 하천 만곡부에서의 흐름특성을 분석하고자 하였다. 가상 하도에 대하여 수리모형 실험의 실측치와 비교하여 모형의 정확성과 안정성을 검증하였다. 그리고 모형의 적용성 검토를 위해 남강댐 하류에 대하여 만곡부의 흐름특성(유속분포 및 최대유속경로, 수위분포, 2차류 거동, 편수위, 전단응력 분포 등)을 분석하였다. 그 결과 하천 만곡부에서의 수리적 특성을 보다 정확하게 제시할 수 있었으며 하천의 제방 안정성 평가시 사행하천에 관한 수리적 특성을 효율적으로 활용하고자 한다.

  • 본 연구는 해양에서의 염료 플럼축의 사행에 관한 것이다. 농도 확산장에서의 이러한 과정은 산단 염료 확산장의 무게 중심의 분석에 대하여 속도장의 여러 주기 성분이 원점으로부터의 거리의 함수로서 차별적으로 기여하기 때문에 일어나는 것으로 이해된다. 제시된 진단 모델은 과동장을 보여줄 뿐만 아니라 플럼축이 증폭되어 사행하는 현상까지도 설명할 수 있다. 염표 플럼의 항공사진을 이용한 자료로부터 사행 과동의 파장을 추정한 바 연안 표층수에서 5.5에서 60.3 미터까지 분포하였다. 또한 수치 시뮬레이션을 통하여 사행 플럼 농도장을 예측하였다.

  • "Drifting cups on a meandering stream" is a same originating from the ancient China. It takes advantage of the stopover of the cup at the different positions on a meandering stream to choose a person sitting on the bank to participate the game. In this paper, a model is devised to make the cups move around or stop at some place on the stream as required by the game. A typical flow field Is abstracted and studied using the PIV technique and the topological analysis. Some motions of the cup on the stream have been explained in the mechanics theory.

INVESTIGATION OF THE MEANDER PLANFORM DEVELOPMENT IN A LABORATORY CHANNEL

  • Experiments were conducted in an initially straight laboratory alluvial channel to investigate channel meandering characteristics. The experimental observations revealed an empirical relation between three types of tortuosity ratios used for describing meandering characteristics. Furthermore, the Strauhal number was found to be higher for bed material with greater resistance to erosion than with lower resistance to erosion. The meandering characteristics were also investigated using the concept of buckling employed in solid mechanics and the concept of siphoning of fluid mechanics. The buckling of flow, attributable to the flow nonuniformity across the channel cross-section, was found to follow the same pattern as did meandering observed experimentally. The processes of expansion of meanders and cut-off can be explained using the concept of siphoning. The results of expanding meander planforms observed in four experimental tests supported the viability of these concepts.

내성천 급만곡부에서 유량 변화에 의한 흐름 및 하도변화 수치모의 (Numerical Simulation of Flow Characteristics and Channel Changes with Discharge in the Sharped Meandering Channel in the Naeseongcheon, Korea)

  • 본 연구에서 내성천 만곡부에서 유량의 변화에 의한 흐름 및 하도 변화를 2차원 수치모형인 Nays2DH를 이용하여 분석하였다. 만곡부를 통과 된 후에 하폭이 좁은 구간에서 만곡부 외측으로 수심이 깊게 형성되었다. 하폭이 넓은 구간에서는 점사주가 형성된 만곡부 내측에서는 수심이 얕게 형성되었다. 흐름이 집중되는 만곡부 외측에서는 수심이 깊게 형성되었다. 직선이 형성된 하류 구간에서 흐름은 하도 중앙에 집중되었다. 연속적으로 사행이 형성되면서 번갈아 가며 수심이 깊은 곳과 얕은 곳이 형성되었다. 이러한 특성은 사행하천에서 강한 2차류의 영향을 받아 형성된 것이다. 무차원소류력도 유속이 집중된 부분에 크게 나타났다. 그러나 하폭이 감소하고 급만곡부가 형성된 곳에서는 유속과 무차원소류력의 변화에 대한 하상고 변화가 일치되지 않았다.

하안돌출부를 이용한 완만한 사행수로 형성을 위한 연구 (Application for the Formation of Mild Meandering Channel Using the Spur of Riverbank)

  • In this study, the use of the spur of riverbank technique is being investigated. The spur of the riverbank typically reduces the velocity of flow and protects the embankments by increasing friction along the water and the banks. This also has an effect in the rise of water level upstream. It is also used for the rectification of riverside line and restoration of the waterway through sedimentation near the spur of the riverbank. In this study, physical-scaled experiments are conducted to investigate the process of creating a mild meandering channel using the spur of the riverbank with varying water flows and sedimentation functions. The hydraulics observations are taken with respect to the varying heights and length of the riverbank's spurs and the distance between each spur for the formation of the mild meandering channel. It is observed that for 1.06 times of the meander length, it requires 2 times of the interval with each spur of river width. Similarly, 1.25L times of the meander length, it requires 0.5 times of the interval with each spur of river width. The sand accumulation is induced by the spur of riverbank when the spur of riverbank's heights are more than 40% of water depth and the length of the spur of riverbank needs under than 20% of river width for avoid exaggerated sand accumulation in the center of channel.

  • Drifting Cups on a Meandering Stream (Kyokusui-no-En) is a Poetry Party that had its origin In ancient China, and was introduced to Japan passing through Korea. The flow of the meandering stream was made clear using the flow visualization techniques, surface floating method, PTV and the numerical simulation. At the same time, the motions of floating cup, the floating speed, relating speed and the trajectory of the cup were also analysed by using an originally developed image processing technique. Based on these researches, the model channel was considered. To make this party interesting the channel must has the characteristic that the drifting cups take the random pass and stagnant at the unexpected place. This model channel is satisfied with these conditions and the fluid mechanics consideration is performed on the both points of the experimental visualization and numerical simulation.
