  • In this report, numerical investigations have demonstrated, that the displacement underneath a moving loading reach a maximum value, if the speed of the load is equal to propagation velocity of the maximum wave. The load speed for which the maximum displacement occurs is called critical speed. The critical speed divides the velocities in a subcritical and a super-critical region. By means of calculations the dynamic behaviour of the slab track-soil is investigated. (omitted)

Abrasive-Assisted High Energy Water-Jet Machining Characteristics of Solid Wood

  • The application of abrasive-assisted high energy water-jet was investigated as a possible new method of cutting wood. In this study the maximum cutting speeds for species of various wood density were determined and water-jet machining characteristics were investigated for sixteen Korean domestic species. The maximum cutting speed ranged from 200 to 750 mm/min. The results indicate that wood density affects machining characteristics such as maximum cutting speed, surface roughness, and kerf width. Roughness of surface generated increased and kerf width decreased as penetration depth increased.

  • 본 논문은 최고속도 400km/h의 차세대고속열차 차상신호장치의 최고속도시험을 위한 방안을 연구한다. 차세대고속열차 차상신호장치는 열차가 고속선 자동열차제어(ATC)구간과 기존선 자동열차정지(ATS) 및 자동열차방호(ATP)구간을 운행하는 동안 기관사에게 운전정보를 제공하고 기관사실수, 신호장치고장, 천재지변 등으로부터의 열차 안전 확보를 목적으로 한다. 차세대고속열차 최고속도 400km/h 시험은 차상신호장치를 포함한 열차성능 검증을 위한 필수과정으로써, 본 논문에서는 차상신호장치의 기능 및 최고속도시험의 필요성을 분석하고, 고속선 ATC구간에서 최고속도시험을 실시하기 위한 인프라의 변경사항 및 구체적인 시험방안을 연구한다.

  • Maximum speed of the train could not exceed over 160km/h with R-bar system in the underground type tunnel structure. By the research to overcome this speed limit, maximum speed has reached up to 200~250km/h recently by new R-bar system. It is under discussion to construct Metro Express Line between Gyonggido and Seoul which requires maximum speed 180km/h~230km/h. New R-bar is an optimal system to achieve the speed improvement in this line. This study shows application of the high speed R-bar system in the underground tunnel section.

  • In Korea, the HEMU-400X(High-speed Electric Multiple Unit-400km/h eXpress) has been developed since 2007 and will be operated over 400km/h in 2013. It is necessary to prepare test-bed section in Honam high-speed railroad to take the maxim running speed test for the HEMU-400X developed. In order to determine proper test-bed sections for the maximum speed of 400km/h, TPS(Train Performance Simulation) program with the data of train model, running resistance, traction power and braking capacity was used to analyze the train performances such as locations, speeds and power consumptions by times. In this study, the specifications of the HEMU-400X project and the route conditions of the Honam high-speed railroad under construction were utilized for the TPS program to determine the optimal test-bed sections for the maximum speed of 400km/h.

LBT연소를 통한 Idling 운전시의 연소안정성 평가 (Evaluation of Combustion Stability of Idling Speed State)

  • It is necessary to discuss lightening engine parts and reducing the friction of sliding parts to improve fuel consumption and combustion stability at idling condition. Lean best torque combustion which produce maximum power at a lean air-fuel ratio is effective for the reduction of exhaust gas emission and the improvement of fuel consumption. Accordingly, this study deals with the expansion of lean combustible limitation, the combustion stability and the reduction of idle speed through the analysis of combustion characteristics on the base of the control technique of precise air-fuel ratio because it does not need to maximum power at idling condition. The idle speed is increased proportional to ISC(Idle Speed Control) duty ratio. On the other hand the idle speed decreased by lean air-fuel ratio. The COV in engine speed is stable within maximum two percent up to 17.6 mixture ratio by the control of ISC duty ratio.

비만인들의 보행속도와 하지관절모멘트에 대한 상관관계 분석 (Correlation Between Walking Speeds and Lower Extremities Joint Moment in Obese)

  • The purpose of this study is to elucidate the mechanical characteristics of lower extremity joint movements at different walking speeds in obese people and suggest the very suitable exercise for obese person's own body weight and basic data for clinical application leading to medical treatment of obesity. This experimental subjects are all males between the ages of 20 and 30, who are classified into two groups according to Body Mass Index(BMI): one group is 15 people with normal body weight and the other 15 obese people. Walking speed is analysed at 3 different speeds ($1.5^m/s$, $1.8^m/s$, $2.1^m/s$) which is increased by $0.3^m/s$ from the standard speed of $1.5^m/s$. We calculated joint moments of lower extremity during stance phase through video recording and platform force measurement.Two-way ANOVA(Analysis of Variance, Mix) is applied to get the difference of moments according to walking speeds between normal and obese groups. Pearson's Correlation Analysis is applied to look into correlation between walking speeds and joint moments in both groups. Significance level of each experiment is set as ${\alpha}=.05$. As walking speed increases maximum ankle plantar flexion moment in the stance phase is smaller in obese group than in normal group, which is suggestive of weak toe push-off during terminal stance in obese group, and the highest maximum ankle plantar flexion moment in obese group during the middle speed walking($1.8^m/s.$). Maximum ankle dorsal flexion moment in obese group is relatively higher than in normal group and this is regarded as a kind of compensatory mechanism to decrease the impact on ankle when heel contacts the floor. Maximum knee flexion and extension moments are both higher in normal group with an increase tendency proportional to walking speed and maximum hip flexion and extension moments higher in obese group. In summary, maximum ankle plantar flexion moment between groups(p<.025), maximum knee moment not in flexion but in extension(p<.001) within each group according to increasing walking speed, and maximum hip flexion and extension moment(p<.001 and p<.004, respectively according to increasing walking speed are statistically significant but knee and hip moments between groups are not. Pearson correlation are different: high correlation coefficients in maximum knee flexion and extension moments, in maximum hip extension moment but not hip flexion, and in maximum ankle dorsal flexion moment but not ankle plantar flexion, in each group. We suspect that equilibrium imbalance develops when the subject increases walking speed and the time is around which he takes his foot off the floor.

기존선의 선형조건을 고려한 틸팅차량의 허용속도 평가 (Allowable Speed of Tilting Car in the Conventional Line)

  • A quantitative analysis on the amounts of cant and lateral displacement of gravitational center due to the introduction of high-speed tilting car was carried out, based on the current alignment of the conventional line. In addition, the maximum allowable speed in curve and the level of improvement in maximum speed of tilting car were evaluated through the comparison with the maximum speed of locomotive. It was found that the tilting car produces an equivalent amount of cant, which corresponds to 47.5 % of current actual cant. This effect could be explained by the fact that 1.34 m, which is the height of gravitational center of tilting car from the rail level, is much lower than that of locomotive and thus guarantees much higher level of safety in curve. The equivalent amount of cant due to the lateral displacement of gravitational center followed by tilting in curve was 2.4 mm. It was small but not enough to be neglected and must be included in calculating the maximum speed in curve. It could be concluded that the 15 % speed-up of the conventional line is reasonable under the current condition of alignment.

탄약운반장갑차 궤도장력 변화에 따른 최대속도 영향성 연구 (A Study on the Influence of Maximum Velocity on Track Tension Change to Military Ammunition Vehicle)

  • 본 연구는 탄약운반장갑차의 동력장치 부품들이 최대속도에 미치는 영향성 확인을 목표로 하고 있다. 탄운차는 습지나 수렁 등이 많은 국내 상황을 고려하여 궤도장비로 개발되었다. 궤도장비의 기동성은 전투 중 생존 가능성을 높여 주는 중요한 성능이다. 장비의 최대속도에 영향을 끼치는 요소를 먼저 분석하였고, 그 중 동력전달장치 부품들의 변화에 따른 영향성을 확인하였다. 엔진과 변속기의 변화에 따른 최대속도는 각각 3%, 1.7%의 차이를 나타냈다. 간단히 유압유 주입/배출을 통하여 조절 할 수 있는 궤도장력의 변화에 따른 최대속도 영향성을 확인하였다. 궤도장력 중간을 기준으로 장력이 강한 경우 4.6% 낮아졌고, 장력이 약한 경우 1.5% 상승하는 결과를 얻었다. 궤도장력을 6구간으로 나누어 최대 속도를 확인한 결과 궤도장력이 중간 이하로 유지되는 경우의 최대속도가 가장 큰 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. 장비 양측 궤도장력을 다르게 조절하여 실험한 결과 장비의 최대속도는 장력이 큰 부분의 영향을 받는 것을 알 수 있었다. 주행 전용 시험장에서 장력을 조정하여 최대속도 실험을 진행하였다. 실험결과 장력이 강한 경우 규격요구보다 16.7% 높은 속도를 내었고, 장력이 약한 경우 28.3% 높은 속도를 나타냈다. 궤도장력의 변화에 따라 최대속도의 영향성을 확인하였고, 고액의 부품을 교체하는 것 보다 큰 효과를 나타내는 것을 확인하였다.

고능률 고속연삭에서 열원 모델에 관한 연구 (A Study on Heat Source Model to High Efficiency Speed Grinding)

  • An analytical thermal model of HESG(higt efficiency speed grinding) is presented, in which the heat flux to workpiece in grinding zone is modeled as time dependent and moves along a slope decided by contact chord(approximation of con-tact arc). By matching the maximum surface temperature of workpiece derived from this model to the maximum surface temperature of grinding wheel composite as done in Lavins simple thermal model, the relation of maximum surface tem-perature and energy partition of workpiece to grinding speed is obtained. In high speed grinding, as wheel speed increases, energy partition decreases with no regard to table speed.
