교양수학 교과목에 대한 교수-학습지도 개선 방안 - 기초미적분학 교과목을 중심으로 - (Improvement of teaching-learning methods for general mathematics education courses - Focused on Basic Calculus -)

  • 본 논문에서는 대학에서의 교양수학 교육과정 운영의 문제점과 그 개선방안을 찾아보기 위하여, 기초미적분학 교과목을 수강하는 전체 학생을 대상으로 학생실태 설문조사와 기초학력 진단평가를 실시하여 수준별 학급을 편성하고, 수준별 학습지도, 수학카페 및 홈페이지 운영과 함께 Webwork 시스템을 활용한 시범강의 등을 통하여 교양수학 교과목에 대한 효율적인 학습지도 방안과 수준별 학급 운영의 유의점을 제안한다.

  • We took note of the fact that there were not many studies on improvement of mathematics learning in the field of statistics for the minority students from the families who belonged to the Low-SES. This study was to help them understand the concepts and principles of mathematics, motivate them for mathematics learning, and have them feel familiar with it. The subjects were 12 students from the low-SES families among the sophomores of 00 High School in Gyeonggi-do. Although it could not be achieved effectively in the short-term of learning for the slow learners, their understanding of basic concepts and confidence, interests and concerns in statistical learning were remarkably changed, compared to their work in the beginning period. Our discourse classes using various topics and examples were well perceived by the students whose performance was improved up to the 3rd thinking level of Mooney's framework. Also, a meaningful instructional model for slow learners(IMSL) was found through the discourse.

  • 본 논문에서는 기계 서비스 부품 도면에서 숫자를 인식하기 위하여 입력 영상에 대한 전처리와 딥러닝 모델을 제안한다. 서비스 부품 도면의 숫자를 인식하는데 있는 지시선과 도형에 의한 오검출 또는 오인식을 개선하기 위하여 수학적 형태학 필터링 전처리를 한다. 숫자 인식을 위하여 VGG-16 모델을 축소 변형한 7 개의 계층을 가지는 VGG 모델을 적용함으로써 인식 성능을 개선한다. 서비스 부품 도면의 숫자 인식 실험 결과, 제안하는 방법이 인식률 95.57%, 정확도는 92.82%로 종래의 방법에 현저히 개선된 결과를 얻었다.

수학학습 부진아 지도방안으로써의 수학일지 쓰기 (Mathematical Journal Writing as a Method of Improving Mathematical Attitudes and Achievements for Underachieve Students)

  • 수학 과목은 위계성이 강하기 때문에 조금씩 생긴 수학에 대한 결손은 학년이 올라갈수록 더욱 깊어지고 심화된다. 이에 수학학습 부진학생들은 수학 수업이 더 어렵게 느껴지고 흥미 는 떨어지고 있다. 교육과정도 학습자 위주의 교육을 지향하고 있지만 아직은 교사중심으로 수학수업이 이루어지며 학생과 교사 사이에 서로의 의견을 주고받을 방법이 특별히 없는 것 이 현실이다. 따라서 본 연구는 수학학습 부진 학생들의 수학적 태도를 변화시키고 수학성취 도 향상을 꾀하기 위한 방안으로써 수학일지 쓰기를 택하였다. 중학교 1학년 학생들 중 수학 성취도가 40% 미만인 학생들을 대상으로 6주간의 수학일지를 쓰기를 실시한 후 수학일지에 대한 반응, 수학성취도에 미친 영향을 분석해 보았다. 그 결과로 수학일지 쓰기가 학생들에 게 능동적이고 능률적인 학습태도와 수학에 대한 자신감을 갖게 함으로써 수학 성취도에 향상을 가져줌을 알 수 있었다.

농촌지역 소규모 중학교 수학학력 저하의 변인 연구 (A Study on factor of Mathematical Abilities Lowering of small middle schools in the rural community)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out if there are meaningful differences between small rural middle schools and nearby urban ones In the mathematical diagnostic evaluation. It also says how to improve students' scholastic abilities, making up a question of attitudes towards math to know the mathematical abilities lowering cause in small rural middle schools. Findings are, 1. Students must recognize that studying math is essential and be interested in it. 2. The mathematical confidence is needed. 3. A strong will of studying math hard is important. 4. Students must have a motivational triggering, while solving math problems and then checking answers for themselves. 5. Backward countries' humanistic and social environmental factors should be overcome. In conclusion, we expect the mathematical abilities improvement, making students remove the mathematical abilities lowering cause after having a learning experience suitable for the rural community instead of the negative attitudes towards math.

수학 학습에서의 상황인지와 전이에 대한 연구$^{1)}$ (A Study of Situated Cognition and Transfer in Mathematics Learning)

  • This paper investigates the comparative effectiveness of two kinds of instructional methods in transfer of mathematics learning: one based on the situated cognition, ie. situated learning and the other based on traditional learning. Two classes of second graders studied the instruction about 3-digit addition and subtraction. After that, they completed two written tests and a real situation test. As a result. no significant differences were found between the two group's performance on the written test 1 and real situation test. But the situated learning group performed significantly better on the performance of story problem than traditional group. This result indicated that the situated learning made improvement in transfer of mathematic loaming. As a result of interviews with 12 children, the situated loaming group's children were able to use contextual resources in solving real situation as well as story problems.

분산 시스템에서 동적 파일 이전과 수학적 모델 (Dynamic File Migration And Mathematical model in Distributed Computer Systems)

  • Many researches have been conducted to achieve improvement in distributed system that connects multiple computer systems via communication lines. Among others, the load balancing and file migration are considered to have significant impact on the performance of distributed system. The dynamic file migration algorithm common in distributed processing system involved complex calculations of decision function necessary for file migration and required migration of control messages for the performance of decision function. However, the performance of this decision function puts significant computational strain on computer. As one single network is shared by all computers, more computers connected to network means migration of more control messages from file migration, causing the network to trigger bottleneck in distributed processing system. Therefore, it has become imperative to carry out the research that aims to reduce the number of control messages that will be migrated. In this study, the learning automata was used for file migration which would requires only the file reference-related information to determine whether file migration has been made or determine the time and site of file migration, depending on the file conditions, thus reflecting the status of current system well and eliminating the message transfer and additional calculation overhead for file migration. Moreover, mathematical model for file migration was described in order to verify the proposed model. The results from mathematical model and simulation model suggest that the proposed model is well-suited to the distributed system.

  • In this paper, two methods are discussed for good rolling force prediction in a plate mill. One is about the development of a long and a short learning scheme using a Neural Network for normal rolling and the other is about a mathematical model improvement by considering microstructural changes for controlled rolling. The research results are implemented in a on-line system of Pohang Works in POSCO and the field tests have showed that the prediction accuracies of rolling force are highly improved.

모둠 구성에 따른 수학적 모델링 과정 수행 및 수학적 추론 능력 분석 (An Analysis of Mathematical Modeling Process and Mathematical Reasoning Ability by Group Organization Method)

  • 본 연구는 초등학교 5학년 학생들의 수학적 모델링 수업에서 모둠 구성 방법에 따라 수학적 모델링 과정 수행 능력과 수학적 추론 능력에 차이가 있는지 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 3가지 문제 상황으로 각각 8차시에 걸쳐 총 24차시의 수학적 모델링 수업을 설계 및 실시하였다. 그 결과 동질 모둠 보다는 이질 모둠에서 더 낳은 수학적 모델링 과정 수행 능력과 수학적 추론 능력을 보여 주었다. 본 연구 결과는 수학 수업에서 수학적 모델링을 적용할 때 모둠 구성의 관점에서 이질 모둠이 보다 효과적임을 시사한다.

분산 시스템에서 파일 이전과 부하 균등을 위한 수학적 모델 (Mathematical Model for File Migration and Load Balancing in Distributed Systemsc)

  • Advances in communication technologies and the decreasing cost of computers have made distributed computer systems an attractive alternative for satisfying the information needs of large organizations. This paper presents a distributed algorithm for performance improvement through load balancing and file migration in distributed systems. We employed a sender initiated strategy for task migration and used learning automata with several internal states for file migration. A task can be migrated according to the load information of a computer. A file is migrated to the destination processor when it is in the right boundary state. We also described an analytical model for load balancing with file migration to verify the proposed algorithm. Analytical and simulation results show that our algorithm is very well-suited for distributed system environments.
