  • 산업경제구조의 변화로 경험이 풍부한 전문가들이 은퇴하고 경험이 적은 직원들이 그들의 업무를 대신하는 구조로 조직이 변화하고 있다. 동시에 녹색성장시대의 도래로 화석연료를 사용하는 설비에 대한 투자가 줄면서 점차로 노후화되는 경향을 보이고 있어 불필요한 운전 과도현상에서 기인된 극단적인 손상은 설비자체 및 전력공급계통 전체에 치명적이라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 석탄화력발전소 제어 시스템은 이러한 사안들을 안정적으로 이끌어 나가기 위한 중요한 요소로 저비용 고효율 발전소 유지를 위해 중점적으로 발전시켜 나가야 할 부분이다. 본 논문은 석탄화력발전소의 주구성요소인 보일러와 터빈을 제어하는 마스터 제어기의 복잡한 로직을 모델 기반의 간단한 로직으로 개발하여 시뮬레이션 한 결과를 실제 발전소에 적용하기 위한 내용을 기술하였다. 실제 발전소는 많은 위험요소들을 안고 있기 때문에 시뮬레이션에서 나타나는 급격한 제어동작을 수용할 수 없을 경우도 있으며, 실제 다른 많은 변수들이 제어불안정 요소로 작용할 수 있다. 차후 실제 적용한 결과는 예측제어의 사용과 같은 제어시스템 향상을 위한 개발과 운영효율 향상에 사용될 것이다. 튜닝 과정에서의 연구결과는 시간절약과 제어부분 결함제거 등 직원들의 전문지식 향상 등에 도움을 주게 될 것이다.

The Haptic Display Model Development with the Karnopp Friction Model and the Proxy Concept (카르노프 마찰모델과 탐촉구 개념을 이용한 햅틱 디스플레이 모델 개발)

  • This study develops a haptic display model which is an indispensable for the force generation in the virtual environment. In developing the haptic display model, a Proxy concept and a Karnopp friction model are utilized to generate the reaction force and the friction force. Also this study develops a 2 D.O.F. remote wiping system. This system is composed of a 2 D.O.F. master manipulator, a force sensor equipped 2 D.O.F. slave manipulator and a real time controller. With the developed remote wiping system, this study identifies the friction characteristic of the aluminum, acryl and rubber plate. The results are used as the dynamic friction coefficient of the haptic display model. This study shows the efficiency of the developed haptic display model by the comparison between the friction characteristic of the haptic display with the developed haptic display model and the friction characteristic of the real aluminum, acryl and rubber plate.

Evaluation of a Possibility of Estimation of Reaction Force of Surgical Robot Instrument using Sliding Perturbation Observer (슬라이딩 섭동 관측기를 이용한 수술용 로봇 인스트루먼트의 반력 추정 가능성 평가)

  • In spite of the difficulties and uncertain characteristic of cable driven method, surgical robot instrument has adopted it as driving mechanism for various reasons. To overcome the problem of cable system, previous research applied SMCSPO (sliding mode control with sliding perturbation observer) algorithm as robust controller to control the instrument and found that the value of SPO (sliding perturbation observer) followed force disturbance, reaction force loaded on the tip very similarly. Thus, this paper confirms that the perturbation observer is sufficient estimator which finds out the mount of loaded force on the surgical robot instrument. To prove the proposition, simulation using the similar model with an actual instrument and experimental evaluation are performed. The results show that it is possible to substitute SPO for sensors to measure the reaction force. This estimated reaction force will be used to realize haptic function by sending the reaction force to a master device for a surgeon. The results will contribute to create surgical benefit such as shortening the practice time of a surgeon and giving haptic information to surgeon by using it as haptic signal to protect an organ by making force boundary.

  • Reliability means that a product maintains its initial quality and performance at certain period of time(time, distance, cycle etc) under given condition without failure. Given conditions include both environmental condition and operating condition. Environmental condition means common natural environment such as temperature, humidity, vibration, and working condition means artificial environment such as voltage, current load, install place, hours of use, which occurs during using the product. In the field of railway vehicles, although components of railway vehicles with reliability are the trend of mandatory as persisting period of railway vehicles is extended, using components of railway vehicles is insufficient for the practical reliability assessment. but the meaning of the first railway operating agency to acquire the parts in the field, the data suggest the reliability of products if you can and can show the reliability of modular units and modular units can provide the reliability of if you can present reliability of the entire system is thought to be here In this study, lifespan of micro-switch for master controller is analyzed and prediction is performed based on its field data considering the special circumstances of railway vehicles operating agency, such as a large number of trains operates on the same line.

  • 원자로의 제어봉 구동장치에 공급되는 전력을 제어하는 전력함 전력제어기는 DSP를 이용하여 디지털 시스템으로 설계하였다. 전력제어기는 Master/Slave 형태로 이중화되어 신뢰성이 향상시켰고 전력제어기의 CPU 보드에는 제어용과 통신용 두 개의 DSP를 사용하여 전력제어기의 주 기능인 제어/감시와 통신 기능을 분리하여 담당시켰다. 전력제어기에 요구되는 이러한 기능들을 효과적으로 수행하도록 CPU 보드에 디지털 논리구현 장치인 FPGA를 설치하여 메모리 주소 및 각 부품의 칩 선택 신호를 생성, 이중화 전력제어기 상호간 신호 수수, 각종 고장 검출 및 점호각 신호 발생 등의 역할을 하도록 하였다.

  • With the advance of processing technology , so as to spare fuel, piston heads used in automobile reciprocating engine have complex 3-dimension, with respect to shape such as ovality, profile, eccentricity, offset, recess. Therefore, coming out of the existing process work used master cam. the process work is performed using a CNC lathe. For a precision processing, the processing work is need to make study of high speed feed gear synchronized with the rotative speed of main spindle. And then the high speed feeding system must maintain high dynamic stiffness, high speed and high positioning accuracy . In this paper, in order to achieve high speed cutting tool feeding. The linear brushless DC motor is used for satisfying this process work. The ball bush and turicite is used as the guidance of the feed gear system. Also linear encoders, digital servo amplifiers and controller are used for controlling driving motor. This paper presents the design and simulation of the new tool feed system for noncircular machining.

  • In direct vehicle teleoperation, a human operator drives a vehicle at a distance through a pair of master and slave device. However, if there is time delay, it is difficult to remotely drive the vehicle due to slow response. In order to address this problem, we introduced a novel methodology of shared vehicle teleoperation using a virtual driving interface. The methodology was developed with four components: 1) virtual driving environment, 2) interface for virtual driving environment, 3) path generator based on virtual driving trajectory, 4) path following controller. Experimental results showed the effectiveness of the proposed approach in simple and cluttered driving environment as well. In the experiments, we compared two sampling methods, fixed sampling time and user defined instant, and finally merged method showed best remote driving performance in term of completion time and number of collision.

But the reliable assessment method for the reliability of the part is insufficient. If the reliability of the railway vehicle parts could be assessed by using the field data, the reliability of the entire system could also be evaluated reliably. In this study, life span of micro-switch for master controller is analyzed and prediction is performed based on its field data given by an operator considering the special circumstances of railway vehicles such as the operation of a large number of trains on the same line.

  • This paper introduces a user-friendly PLC (programmable logic controller) monitoring and control system of heavy machinery using Android based smartphone. The proposed system will control diesel generator and many such like machine without a dedicated PC with respect to similar system and offers a new communication protocol for handling it. The smartphone controls the generator via Wi-Fi, through which it connects to the Raspberry pi which will be installed in the PLC panel to setup the communication between them. Furthermore, Raspberry pi connects to two devices, one is PLC which gives the status and current information of the machine and to ON/OFF the machine. This proposed system used RS485 as a key mediator for data exchanging between Raspberry PI(master) and PLC(slave). RS485 allows multiple devices (up to 32) to communicate at half duplex on single pair of wires and provides a long connectivity area (up to 1200 meters) as compared to another device. This proposed system specially focused on accurate data flow between smartphone and PLC panel.

Novel Voltage Source Converter for 10 kV Class Motor Drives

  • This paper presents a novel seven-level (7L) voltage source converter for high-power medium-voltage applications. The proposed topology is an H-bridge connection of two nested neutral-point clamped (NNPC) converters and is referred to as an HNNPC converter. This converter exhibits advantageous features, such as operating over a wide range of output voltages, particularly for 10-15 kV applications, without the need to connect power semiconductors in series; high-quality output voltage; and fewer components relative to other classic seven-level topologies. A novel sinusoidal pulse width modulation technique is also developed for the proposed 7L-HNNPC converter to control flying capacitor voltages. One of the main features of the control strategy is the independent application of control to each arm of the converter to significantly reduce the complexity of the controller. The performance of the proposed converter is studied under different operating conditions via MATLAB/Simulink simulation, and its feasibility is evaluated experimentally on a scaled-down prototype converter.
