Purpose - The structure of retailing has changed as retailers develop markets in response to business environment changes. This study aims to analyze the general situation of retailers in order to predict future global strategy using case studies of overseas expansion strategy and the Metro Group's global strategy. Research design, data, and methodology - The backgrounds to the new retail business model and retailer classification are analyzed as theoretical data. In addition, the key success point of the Metro Group's "cash and carry" strategy is analyzed as is the Metro Group's global CFAR (collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment) strategy. Finally, the plan for cooperation and precise forecasting under the Metro Group's supply chain management are analyzed from the promotion environment viewpoint. Related materials analyzed included the 2012 annual report, the Metro Group's web page, and a video interview with the executive in charge of global strategy and the new market development department. Some data were revised to avoid disrupting essential aspects of the case studies. Results - The important finding was that the Metro Group could be a world-class retail company with its successful global expansion strategy. The Metro Group's global strategy's primary goal is to have a leading business position in Eastern and Western Europe. The "cash and carry" strategy is highest priority in its overseas expansion strategy. Moreover, the Metro Group has standardized product planning capacity, which could be applied in various countries with different structural and cultural backgrounds. This is the main reason that the Metro Group could rapidly become successful in the Eastern Europe and Asian markets through its structural overseas expansion strategies. In addition, the Metro Group emphasizes the importance of supply chain management. Conclusions - First, retailers should create additional value through utilizing the domestic market, market power, and economies of scale to launch a global strategy to maximize benefits from diversification. Second, the political, economic, and cultural background of the target country needs to be understood to successfully implement the overseas expansion strategy. Third, the main factor of successful cooperation with a local partner is how quickly the company gains total understanding of the business resources and core competence of its partner. All organizations should focus on the achievement of goals in order to successfully operate the partnership. Fourth, retailers should improve their business, financial and organizational structure. Moreover, the work processes and company culture should also be improved to respond strongly in the competitive global market. Fifth, the essential point of a successful retail business is the control capacity of its branding and format. The retailer could avoid forecasting errors through supply chain management by perfectly distributing the actual amount of its inventory. In addition, the risks along the supply chain are effectively shared between the supply chain partners. Finally, the central tendency of the market is to gain in strength with this taking place across all parts of the business.

The relevance of the study implies the need to explain the main determinants of environmental policy, allowing countries to converge on a common working basis. The purpose of the research is to explore ways in which the environmental aspects of EU regions and territories can be shaped to apply to domestic environmental policy. A total of 997 representatives from the Ukrainian UTCs, who are involved in local environmental policy, participated in the survey. Results of the research. A hierarchy of regional environmental policy objectives has been identified. Three key principles of eco-policy development have been distinguished. The means of the innovative approach strategy implementation have been outlined (formation of the regional market of environmental services; organization of interaction between environmental agencies and market structures; establishment of environmental funds which finance environmental activities; implementation of the "collateral return" system; formation of a system of benefits and loans to enterprises that successfully implement the environmental policy). The means of the prognostic approach implementation strategy to the development of the region's environmental policy have been determined (the use of an orderly and successful long-term strategy of economic development of the region; obligatory consideration in the mechanisms strategy aimed at improvement of environmental management system of the region, interbranch impact of the projects implemented on the region's ecological situation; taking into consideration the economic and geographical peculiarities of the region, the necessary infrastructure, issues of the territorial location of the large enterprises in the region and their impact on the environment). The means of the traditional approach strategy implementation have been outlined (activity programs focused on solution of specific problems, rather than on the implementation of measures for environmental restoration and enhancement; nature conservation problems have interbranch, interdepartmental character due to unity of the region's ecosystem; tracking complexity of changing conditions (water basins, woodlands, air-mass transport), regional boundaries generally do not coincide with natural ecosystems boundaries). The practical significance of the study lies in providing recommendations for the implementation of certain aspects of Ukrainian UTC's environmental policy.

As the Kyoto Protocol will come into effect starting February 2005, 55 member countries of the Conference of Parties of the Framework Convention on Climate Change (FCCC) will be under obligation to reduce the emissions of Carbon Dioxide $(CO_2)$ by 5.2 Percent from the 1990 levels before the year 2012. Hence the development of technology to prepare for this has been accelerated in Korea. The effect of technology varies with market size of technology, and it is necessary to control technology development period, according to the size and trend of technology market. Moreover it is essential that market analysis be finished before technology development, because market on the $(CO_2)$ Reduction and Sequestration Technology expands internationally. For that reason, it is needed to analyze domestic market and to consider technology development strategy according to analysis results. In this paper, we analyzed the domestic industry and forecasted the market size, both related to the Reduction and Sequestration Technology on $(CO_2)$ emission, which is the major component of global Green House Gas(GHG).

This study presents a research model that demonstrates the dominant design technology strategy for developing and securing dominant design technology based on open innovation. For this purpose, this study developed a strategic model for the development and acquisition of design technology, production technology, and production system of propeller which satisfies the requirements of ship propulsion system required by ship owners and shipbuilders. By studying large propellers for ships, it is possible to embody a strategic model that can be used as a technology development strategy of dominant design that is effective in technology field of other industries. In this study, HSP (High Skewed Propeller) strategy of Hyundai Heavy Industries, which occupies the largest global market share (47.5%, 2007) for more than 30 years until now, is analyzed as a successful case to verify this strategic model. The development and acquisition strategy model of dominant design technology presented in this study consists of four stages : dominant design project strategy, dominant design engineering technology strategy, dominant design production technology strategy, and dominant design production system strategy. The strategic model summarizes the key activities at each stage. In addition, the steps and core activities of this strategic model were confirmed through the case study. As a technology development strategy of HSP products, Hyundai Heavy Industries utilized open innovation technology to cooperate with outside, that is, collaborative research and development with KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) research team, and succeeded in achieving technology development of dominant design of HSP products by linking it with HSP technology development and acquisition strategy.

This study examines the history of Korean aviation industry and presents the investment strategy based on the evidence and the 4th industrial revolution. Looking at the evolution of the Korean aviation industry and its technological development will be a great help to support industrial and technological innovation in the future. The modern aviation industry is divided into stages of development, focusing on maintenance of equipment introduced in advanced countries, localization through license assembly, production of products based on technology, and international joint development. The development of aeronautics technology has been progressing towards a general improvement of economic efficiency, aircraft safety efficiency through environmental-friendliness, unmanned operation, and downsizing. The Korea Aerospace Research Institute has secured key technologies through development of several aircrafts such as Experimental Aircraft Kachi, EXPO Unmanned Airship, Twin-engine Composite Aircraft, Canard Aircraft, Multi-Purpose Stratosphere unmanned-airship, Medium Aerostats, Smart UAV, Surion, EAV-2H, KC-100, and OPV. The development strategy is discussed at the level of the evidence-based investment strategy that is currently being discussed, and so the investment priorities in aircraft is high. Current drone usage and development direction are not only producing parts using 3D printer, but also autonomous flight, communication (IoT, 5G), information processing (big data, machine learning). Therefore, the aviation industry is expected to lead the fourth industrial revolution.
Two of most important industries in Changwon, the distribution industry and the construction industry have been threatened by the recent economic downturn. Rehabilitating plans for traditional markets tend to focus on renovation of facilities rather than on the managerial solution. Traditional market plays vital roles as a social safety net and a source of development of regional economy. Modernization of facilities and differentiation of business areas are two most important issues for the revitalization of the traditional market. Traditional markets should adopt a strategy which can make a difference in characteristics of the market, regional culture, regional industry and consumer behavior of the region. Purposes of this study are: first, to understand characteristics of traditional markets in Changwon, second, to draw implications for administrative and financial supports for traditional markets in Changwon.

The number of dementia patients in Korea is expected to increase to 3.30 million in 2050, and the cost of dementia management will increase sharply to KRW 106.5 trillion of GDP. In August 2017, the Moon Jae-in government announced the 'Dementia National Responsibility System' through a five-year plan for government operation and expanded the Dementia Peace Center nationwide. However, for this, strategic dementia-related technology development strategies should be established and given the role of government and the role of the private sector. Therefore, in order to derive the corresponding strategy, this study developed the government's 'dementia' response technology development strategy through the situation analysis from the political, economic, social, and technological perspective and the environmental (PEST) analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT). As a result, the direction of technology development in the dementia-related medical device market is expected to become a trend of developing dementia self-measurement by developing low-cost and high-efficiency diagnostic technology products. It has been shown that the development of various products for consumers should begin. As a result, the dementia market approach strategy should be premised, the related technical support and legal restrictions should be minimized, and the education of related experts should be strengthened to solve the government's development of dementia technology and the social problems of dementia. In addition, by developing joint projects with major companies around the world and actively participating in the technology platform, it is important to naturally build up skills accumulation for the development of dementia technology and competence skills of dementia technology experts in the long term.

The Korean distribution market is now faced with various difficult problems. for instance, the withering of domestic demand by effect of IMF support system, the competitive foreign enterprise's entry into domestic distribution market by opening of its market, and the diversity and unexpected change of consumers' needs. Through the comparative study with Japanese distribution industry, we could find out the outline of information strategy that Korean wholesalers and retailers can solve such problems and stand at competitive advantage in Korean distribution market. We use information system in order to get data for consumers' needs quick and diversely. analyze those accurately, and put those into merchandising. So we have to work out the information strategy in line with the three-point principle, such as the integration or linking of information systems, the sustaining improvement and development of information systems, and the sharing of information.
Purpose: The main aim of this study is to analyze and suggest new online music distribution models targeted to facilitate the development of the Korean Wave (Hallyu) music market in all locations of the world. This study is conducted through a close analysis of the prevailing distribution models, the unique challenges of the K-pop market, and the trends in new technologies. Research design, data and methodology: To address the issue of how the online music distribution market could be domesticated for the Korean music industry, a systematic review of the previous studies was conducted. The use of the PRISMA approach was followed so that an accurate and transparent method for choosing the studies is ensured. Results: According to the investigation of literature analysis, the online distribution strategy may consist of four key plannings as follows, 1. Leveraging Social Media and User-Generated Content Platforms, 2. Embracing Immersive and Interactive Experiences, 3. Fostering Direct-to-Fan Connections and Monetization, 4. Harnessing Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics. Conclusions: Finally, collaboration and strategic partnerships will be vital. The Korean music companies should seek to cooperate with the technology companies, social media platforms, and the global music streaming services so that they can grow their market, acquire new technologies, and to better their online distribution strategies.
