Basic Design of a Flange Connected Transition Piece between Offshore Wind Turbine and Monopile Foundation (해상풍력 터빈과 모노파일 하부기초를 연결하는 플랜지 방식 트랜지션 피스의 기본설계)

  • Depending on the water depth and composition of seabed, there exist different alternatives for the wind turbine supporting structures. Among several types of the structures, the monopile foundation is the dominant solution for support structure, accounting for over 80% of the offshore wind turbines in Europe. To develop the monopile foundation suitable for domestic ocean environment, a basic design of a transition piece was carried out. This paper presents the design procedure of a flange connected transition piece and results of the structural safety assessment.

  • Marine equipment makers today face a multitude of challenges including the needs of an internal system for easy management of their business processes and a collaboration system to streamline communications with the parent company, increasing product complexity and heightened requirements for information technology. In this research, a BPM-ERP system called Biz $Tower^{(R)}$ was implemented based on cloud computing for especially, small and medium marine equipment makers to standardize and visualize the entire business process from order placement to release. This system also provides their parent company with visibility into the status of orders and user can easily access the system on the web at a low price through cloud computing service. Thus far, this paper demonstrates the applicability of Biz $Tower^{(R)}$ to improve management visibility, process performance, and collaboration with the parent company for small and medium marine equipment makers.

  • 플랜트란 산업 기계, 전기 통신 기계등 여러 가지를 생산하는 공장을 의미하고 있다. 해양플랜트는 바다위에 설치된 시설이라고 볼 수 있으며 주로 원유 및 가스를 채취하여 시중에서 사용할 수 있도록 정유공정까지 거치는 대규모 설비라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 가연성 물질을 생산, 적재함으로 화재 및 폭발의 위험성이 상존하며 화재가 발생하면 인화성 물질로 인한 대규모 화재와 폭발로 인하여 인명과 재산피해의 규모 또한 가름하기가 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 해양플랜트 화재시 화재와 폭발 두 가지 위험성 중 제트화재에 저항을 가지는 기자재를 평가할 수 있는 ISO 22899-1 시험방법과 설비에 대하여 설명하고자 한다.

  • Organizations worldwide make efforts to develop their management systems for business functions. The representatives of management systems include quality management system(QMS), environmental manage ment system(EMS) and occupational health and safety management system(OHSMS). Implementing EMS and/or OHSMS in addition to QMS requires the integration of separate management systems in alignment with the organization's strategies and goals. Through the questionnaire survey on Korean marine equipment enterprises, this paper deals with the operational practices of management systems and analyzes perceptions about integrated management system(IMS). We found out the degree of perception is not sufficient enough to prepare background for IMS in Korean marine equipment enterprises. The results contribute to solid understanding and successful implementation of IMS.

  • Bottom hole assembly(BHA) is a key component of the drilling system, consisting of various components and tools(including the drill bit and mud motor) which operate at the bottom of the wellbore and physically drill the rock. This paper investigates the dynamic characteristics of the mud motor which is a drilling propulsion tool. And computational structural analysis is performed to calculate the von-Mises stress and the safety factor of components constituting the mud motor. In this process, the field test data of onshore drilling are used for analysis.

  • 자율운항선박 관련 기술에 대하여 국제표준기구(ISO) 선박 및 해양기술 분과(TC8)에서 다양한 표준안이 개발되고 있다. TC8 산하 여러 세부분과에서 스마트 선박과 연계되어 개발되고 있는 표준안들에 대한 분석 및 각 국가별 전략 분석을 바탕으로 국내 간사 기관 대응 전략에 대해 연구한 결과를 소개하고자 한다. 또한 자율운항선박 관련 기술들의 표준화 로드맵 개발 결과를 공유하고자 한다.

A Study on the Composite Blade Performance Variation by Attaching Erosion Shield for Hovercraft

  • This study intends to study about the blade performance loss occurred due to the variation in the shape of airfoil from the attachment/non-attachment of blade erosion shield for hovercraft. This study model has used NACA 4412, has designed NACA 4412 by using Auto CAD and designed the shape that has attached an erosion shield to this model according to the thickness and length. By using these models, we have generated a grid by using GAMBIT and calculated the lift coefficient (Cl) and drag coefficient (Cd) by using the FLUENT code for flow analysis. Through this, we have calculated and compared the lift-to-drag ratio that is an indicator of airfoil performance according to the shape and attachment/non-attachment of erosion shield.

A Study on Accelerating Marine Equipments Industry for Enforcing Competitiveness of the Offshore Plants Industry (해양플랜트산업 경쟁력 강화를 위한 조선기자재산업 고도화에 관한 연구)

  • This study attempted an AHP analysis through interview with experts in the industries and questionnaire survey on recognition of organization members and future strategic development direction in order to upgrade shipbuilding equipment industries to marine plant equipment industries. Key research results are as follows. First, according to analysis on relative priority between three aspects on acceleration of shipbuilding equipment industries, importance was shown in the order of acceleration of internal competence, acceleration of manufacturing technology, and acceleration of supply chain, which means that the aspect on acceleration of internal competence had relatively higher importance. Second, as for relative importance of detailed item evaluation per respective aspect, it was found that development of core competencies was high from the aspect on acceleration of internal competence, higher value-addition was high from the aspect on acceleration of manufacturing technology, and IT infrastructure construction was high from the aspect on acceleration of supply chain.

  • In modern industry, vacuum has grown into an indispensable industrial field. The performance of the vacuum pump in the degasser system among mud treatment system facilities was verified by a numerical analysis method. The degasser system is an equipment for removing the gas contained in the mud, and it is a work process that requires a vacuum. This study analyzed the vacuum pump performance of the degasser used in drilling for resource development of onshore and offshore plants. The vacuum pump used in the degasser system was designed with a discharge rate of 0.099kg/s. The DM(Design Modeler) program of ansys workbench 17.2 was used to modify the model of the vacuum pump used in the degasser system. And for performance analysis, CFX, which is known to be suitable for rotating system analysis, was used. Finally the performance analysis results of the vacuum pump and the prototype performance test results were compared and analyzed.
