환경영향을 최소화한 비전 시스템을 이용한 미세공구의 상태 감시 기술 (Tool Monitoring System using Vision System with Minimizing External Condition)

  • Machining tool conditions directly affect to quality of product and productivity of manufacturing. Many researches performed for tool condition monitoring in machining process to improve quality and productivity. Conventional methods use characteristics of signal for cutting force, motor current consumption, vibration of machine tools and machining sound. Recently, diameter of machining tool is become smaller for minimizing of mechanical parts. Tool condition monitoring using conventional methods are relatively difficult because micro machining using small diameter tool has low machining load and high cutting speed. These days, the direct monitoring for tool conditions using vision system is performed actively. But, vision system is affected by external conditions such as back ground of image and illumination. In this study, minimizing technology of external conditions using distribution analysis of image data are developed in micro machining using small diameter drill and tap. The image data is gathered from vision system. Several sets of experiment results are performed to verify the characteristics of the proposed machining technology.

마이크로 시스템 구현을 위한 5축 가공기에 관한 연구 (A study on 5-axis Milling Machine for Micro System Manufacturing)

  • As the advance in technology requires micro mechanical systems, the production methods for micro parts are of a great interest of many researchers. Although MEMS is one of the most popular methods. it can only produce 2D microstructures. The micro manufacturing with micro-mill and micro-lathe has a great potential for producing arbitrary 3D shapes and are being researched. In this paper, a PC based 5-axis milling machine with high precision was developed. To evaluate the machine performance, micro ribs and micro columns were machined. The machining experiments of micro impeller and micro turbine blade confirmed the possibility of micro system manufacturing by using the developed milling machine.

  • New methods for screw and spline production has been developed recently by Japan and other developed countries in the basis of Rolling Dies work to cut down the production cost. These methods give us high precision of the products. But we in Korea mostly import Dies for manufacturing forming products. It is thought that if we don't develop our own technology for Rolling Dies, we will have to spend much money for importing Forming concerned equipments. In this paper, we designed the rolling dies based on the diameter of material and calculated the proper number of teeth of gear to establish desirable method for Rolling dies. And the result is shown after manufacturing Involute spline with the rolling dies.

절삭 및 적층 가공법으로 제작한 임시 보철물 레진 블록과 재이 장용 자가중합 레진의 전단결합강도 비교 (Comparison of shear bond strength between various temporary prostheses resin blocks fabricated by subtractive and additive manufacturing methods bonded to self-curing reline resin)

  • 목적. 절삭 및 적층 가공 방식으로 제작한 임시 보철물 레진 블록과 재이장용 자가중합레진의 전단결합강도를 비교 평가하고자 하였다. 재료 및 방법. 레진 블록 시편의 제작방식에 따라 4개의 군으로 나누었고 subtractive manufacturing (SM), additive manufacturing stereolithography apparatus (AMS), additive manufacturing digital light processing (AMD), conventional self-curing (CON)의 방식으로 각 20개씩 레진 시편을 제작하였다. 제작 방식에 따른 레진 블록 시편과 재이장용 자가중합레진의 결합을 위해 시편의 표면에 실리콘 몰드를 이용하여 동일한 위치에 재이장 레진을 주입하여 중합하였다. 만능재료시험기를 이용하여 전단결합강도를 측정하였고 주사전자현미경으로 접착 계면의 파절 양상을 확인하였다. 실험군 간 비교를 위해 일원배치 분산분석과 사후 검정으로 Tukey test를 실시하였다(α = .05). 결과. 전단결합강도는 CON, SM, AMS, AMD군 순으로 높았다. CON군은 AMS군, AMD군과 유의한 차이가 있었고(P < .01) SM군과 유의한 차이가 없었다(P > .05). SM군은 AMD군과 유의한 차이가 있었고(P < .01) AMS군과 유의한 차이가 없었다(P > .05). AMS군은 AMD군과 유의한 차이가 있었다(P < .001). 파절 양상은 CON군, AMS군에서 혼합 파절이 높은 빈도로 나타났으며 SM군, AMD군에서 접착 파절이 높은 빈도로 나타났다. 결론. 절삭 및 적층 가공 방식으로 제작한 임시 보철물 레진 블록과 재이장용 자가중합 레진과의 전단결합강도에서 절삭 가공 방식(SM군)은 CON군보다 낮은 결합강도를 보였지만 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 적층 가공 방식(AMS군, AMD군)은 CON군보다 유의하게 낮은 결합강도를 보였으며, AMD군이 가장 낮은 결합강도를 보였고 AMD군은 SM군과도 유의한 차이를 보였다.

우레탄 폼 제조 사업장 작업자의 디이소시아네이트 피부노출 평가 (Assessment of Worker's Diisocyanates Skin Exposure at Polyurethane Foam Manufacturing Companies)

  • Objectives: Skin exposure to diisocyanates may be an important risk factor for respiratory sensitization to leading asthma. However little is known about the extent of worker's diisocyanates skin exposure and the effectiveness of personal protective equipments in polyurethane foam manufacturing companies. This study provides data on diisocyanates skin exposure, surface diisiocyantes contamination of foams and the effectiveness of personal protective gloves in five polyurethane foam manufacturing companies. Materials and methods Colorimetric SWYPE pads are used for the determination of diisocyanates on surfaces of workers skin and polyurethanes foams. Results: The forearms, necks and faces of workers in polyurethane foam manufacturing companies were found to be contaminated with diisocyanates. Heavy contamination with uncured diisocyanates at large block foams surfaces were found. Personal gloves of workers for skin protection showed significant penetrations by diisocyanates. Conclusions: We found that all workers in polyurethane foam manufacturing companies could be exposed to diisocyanates by skin exposure. Also further researches which would better quantify skin exposure are needed.

스크류유량계 개발에서의 역공학 및 성능평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reverse Engineering and Performance Test in the Development of Screw Flowmeter)

  • This research presents a modeling and a manufacturing method of screw flow meter. This paper introduces the efficient design and manufacturing method of screw type flow meter using reverse engineering and test technology. The methods introduced this paper utilize the reverse engineering that is increasing accuracy of modeling and manufacturing of reverse model. And then it can be used in performance test with hydraulic test equipment. Hence this can be used in the basic document for development of the quite accurate flowmeter.

  • One of the most common communication mechanisms to describe a situation or a process is a story written as an ordered sequence of events or activities. For example, a shop floor supervisor may present the operations of his manufacturing system by describing the processes of manunfacturing a product in his shop. Although IDEF3 is one of the most commonly used methods for describing a business process, but it is not common for a manufacturing process. In this study, we tried to apply IDEF3 for describing a manufacturing process. Problems and suggestions such as selection probability, programmable process modeling, manufacturing resource model were presented.

  • The problem of temperature control for rapid thermal processing (RTP) in semiconductor manufacturing is discussed in this paper. Among sub=micron technologies for VLSI devices, reducing the junction depth of doped region is of great importance. This paper investigates existing methods for manufacturing wafers, focusing on the RPT which is considered to be good for formation of shallow junctions and performs the wafer fabrication operation in a single chamber of annealing, oxidation, chemical vapor deposition, etc., within a few minutes. In RTP for semiconductor manufacturing, accurate and uniform control of the wafer temperature is essential. In this paper, a robustr controller is designed using a recently developed optimization technique. The controller designed is then tested via computer simulation and compared with the other results.
